Speziale how is that pronounced? And what does it mean?

That is hideous

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie Fri 13-Sep-13 23:31:32

But it's Speziale

Silverfoxballs Fri 13-Sep-13 23:31:52

That beaver looks a bit like Nancy D'Allio's younger sister.

mysticminstrel Fri 13-Sep-13 23:32:21

MY Eyes!!!!

Footface Fri 13-Sep-13 23:32:24

Love it. I'm getting 2

DameDeepRedBetty Fri 13-Sep-13 23:34:09

I thought it was safe, I thought 'It's not a Daily Mail link, it'll be okay'.

I was so so wrong.

greenfolder Fri 13-Sep-13 23:35:18

just how? how do i get a job at marks and spencer silly coat dept? it would be my ideal job; one year a beaver theme, the next maybe a nice giraffe pattern with green sleeves.......... all so speziale

hiddenhome Fri 13-Sep-13 23:35:23

ha, ha, ha.....look at the model's face. She's like "just don't you dare say anything" grin

PelvicFloorClenchReminder Fri 13-Sep-13 23:35:28

She looks like she should have the head of whatever that costume is tucked under her arm. I mean, she just looks ridiculous without it. I suppose it is nearly panto season though. Maybe she left the head in her dressing room?

greenfolder Fri 13-Sep-13 23:36:20

i reckon even Twiggy refused to model it

Secretswitch Fri 13-Sep-13 23:36:30

I'm afraid foxes would try to mate with me

Kewcumber Fri 13-Sep-13 23:36:48

I can't beleive you are all being so rude - that is "high-octane glamour".

I now realise why I haven't managed to pull off the high-octane glamour look - no beaver coat.

(Though personally I think it has more the look of a badger myself)

OMG - M & S have surpassed themselves!

kilmuir Fri 13-Sep-13 23:37:45

Haha, half a costume for school nativity

goldface Fri 13-Sep-13 23:38:51

Man, I have nothing as speziale as that in my wardrobe. Nothing.

showtunesgirl Fri 13-Sep-13 23:39:10

Wow! Now I know what to wear if I'm ever cast as Badger in Wind In The Willows.

Kewcumber Fri 13-Sep-13 23:39:15

Mr badger costume (scroll down) is cheaper and you get a head too.

hiddenhome Fri 13-Sep-13 23:39:17

You know, I think that coat thing is actually trying to be a bit wolef like. Sort of glamour wolef as opposed to naff fleece wolef.

greenfolder Fri 13-Sep-13 23:39:25
Kewcumber Fri 13-Sep-13 23:40:32

secretswitch I'd worry more about Brian May trying to mate with me...

Secretswitch Fri 13-Sep-13 23:40:46

A camel? Who the hell wants to look like a camel?

hiddenhome Fri 13-Sep-13 23:41:12

No, that one doesn't look as speziale, more teddy bear grin

I am actually crying a little bit here

hiddenhome Fri 13-Sep-13 23:41:45

I love a good M&S thread grin

PrincessFlirtyPants Fri 13-Sep-13 23:42:02
Chippednailvarnish Fri 13-Sep-13 23:42:48

Lily Savage.

Secretswitch Fri 13-Sep-13 23:43:25

Kewcumber, at least Brian May wont wee in your garden and yowl like his tail has been caught in the gate

PelvicFloorClenchReminder Fri 13-Sep-13 23:45:32

Have you had personal experience of Brian May's mating habits then Secretswitch? grin

Secretswitch Fri 13-Sep-13 23:46:03

I'm getting the WalkaboutEmu costume for our Christmas do, I am tired of being the sexiest women in the room..

Secretswitch Fri 13-Sep-13 23:47:56

PelvicFloor, a laydee does not comment on her mating habits..unless the Mail is Paying ofcourse

VerySmallSqueak Fri 13-Sep-13 23:48:56

£189 for that first one!

£189 to look like you've been rummaging in the dressing up box!

How many people have to approve these atrocities before they go on sale?

Kewcumber Fri 13-Sep-13 23:49:31

Secretswitch - I wouldn't be so sure....

Kewcumber Fri 13-Sep-13 23:50:47

No sorry the leopard one is not at all Speziale. More Special brew.

Amy106 Fri 13-Sep-13 23:52:26

That's just sad, very sad.

That is a beautiful coat/gilet/tunic/furry sack...

WildThongsHeartString Fri 13-Sep-13 23:56:41

Wow green I would never had guessed that was faux fur. Amazing so it is.

Secretswitch Fri 13-Sep-13 23:57:56

Imagine the jealousy of other mums on the school run when you blithely toss your fur sack over your head..

snice Fri 13-Sep-13 23:58:31
VerySmallSqueak Fri 13-Sep-13 23:58:58

I like the second one if I could get it for 50p in a jumble.

Aniseeda Fri 13-Sep-13 23:59:23

Wow, just wow! Can anyone lend me £189?

VerySmallSqueak Sat 14-Sep-13 00:02:01

snice they've lost the plot.

I have what can,at best,be described as eclectic tastes, but that is beyond the pale.

That must be what the rich buy their enemies for Christmas. If it didn't cost £189 it would be a hilarious prank present.

snice Sat 14-Sep-13 00:03:05

incidentally, if you look at the per una range the models' heads are photoshopped onto the pictures-there are about 3 basic expressions,

Do you think she just went 'fuck this' and walked off the job when she saw the clothes?

greenfolder Sat 14-Sep-13 00:06:56

As I am 5'2" with excessive norkage I would like a small round furry animal. Maybe I could match it with some moleskin jeggings and furry boots?

They couldn't even afford to pay the model enough to look happy in it

I was convinced this was going to be a thread about lady gardens. Turns out it kind of was. It looks like it needs a good trim to me.

PeppiNephrine Sat 14-Sep-13 00:20:39

Its pronounced spet-zee-al-ay for whoever asked upthread.

Ginformation Sat 14-Sep-13 00:23:21

Fuck me.

This is why I only step foot in M & S when mil specifies the pyjamas she wants for christmas.

PeppiNephrine Sat 14-Sep-13 00:25:12

I always assumed they mean special (speciale) but it actually means apothecary. Which makes as much sense as that hideous furry thing.

TheRealHousewifeOfSomewhere Sat 14-Sep-13 00:41:26

OMG!! That jacket/coat thing is horrendous.

But the ideal cover up for this dress for the days when you cannot decide what animal you want to be....

Growlithe Sat 14-Sep-13 00:47:05

I know a school mum who would wear this. I promise if it ends up on her back I will share it with you.

needaholidaynow Sat 14-Sep-13 00:50:30

Who'd pay £189.00 for that piece of shite? confused

SomethingOnce Sat 14-Sep-13 01:03:59

Y'know that badger cull...?

Jus' wonderin'.

Maggietess Sat 14-Sep-13 01:06:47

Christ the night... What the flippin heck is going on with those photos.. The first one is a cross between Mr Tumnus and Bambi and the second looks like she shot her prey yesterday.. As for the

mrspremise Sat 14-Sep-13 04:39:34

Yipes! shock

Euphemia Sat 14-Sep-13 06:33:06

She looks like she's auditioning for a part in Horrible Histories' Savage Stone Age. confused

ArtVandelay Sat 14-Sep-13 07:18:51

These look like the extras wardrobe from Mad Max.

Imagine, you've just nipped into to marks for a pair of beige crimplene slacks and you get assaulted by these items. Awful.

littlemisswise Sat 14-Sep-13 07:27:00

Bloody hell, do you think they sell any of this shite? They seriously need to get their researchers to read a few of these threads, perhaps then they'd realise we all think it is bloody awful!

Ememem84 Sat 14-Sep-13 07:52:00

Go home m&s, you're drunk.

Seriously what is up with those? Who would in their right minds wear those? I ventured in the other day for Percy pigs and had a wander round the clothes. I did see some nice things. But a lot of weird. Picked up a (what I thought) was lovely cardigan, soft soft, lovely colour then saw it had a zip and sequins on the back. Methinks the ladies designers have been on the sherry again.

It's Wilma Flintstones coat!

ChippingInNeedsSleepAndCoffee Sat 14-Sep-13 08:04:36

Bloody hell, the cave man outfits we made for the kids for a birthday party looked better than that grin

Waswondering Sat 14-Sep-13 08:09:09

Showed dh ... He commented she looks like she should be holding a club .....

Apart from that, he said "furry nice".

As you were ...

moanymandy Sat 14-Sep-13 08:48:19

oh this thread has made my week! I am crying with laughter here!!

ds is stood next to me looking at me nervously laughing too. probably thinking 'she has finally lost it!'grin

TempusFuckit Sat 14-Sep-13 09:29:48

Have you read the review of the cardigan? Buyer said it looked nice in the picture, but didn't realise it had the fabric attached at the bottom so sent it back. Can you imagine the look on her face when she opened the package?

Beaverfeaver Sat 14-Sep-13 09:31:54

Looks just right to me

OwlinaTree Sat 14-Sep-13 09:37:08

I like the second one!

If the 1st one is 189 quid, how much do I have to party to get it with furry sleeves too?

£189 for a coat! Wtf!

OwlinaTree Sat 14-Sep-13 09:37:44

*pay not party.

pigletmania Sat 14-Sep-13 09:50:53

Omg that is god awful shock, and £189 for it! No wondervMarks and Spencer is going down the pan

freddiefrog Sat 14-Sep-13 09:53:10

God, that's awful.

I love it when M&S bring their new ranges out, especially the Speziale stuff. It's a great way to amuse yourself for half an hour with a cup of tea

pigletmania Sat 14-Sep-13 10:23:42

Marks must think so low of their customers tat they think they will give them £189 just like that in return for something that costs £5 to produce!

Yikes!! Do you reckon anyone actually buys these things??

VerySmallSqueak Sat 14-Sep-13 11:22:17

Ememem you really made me laugh with your
"Go home m&s,you're drunk"

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea Sat 14-Sep-13 11:53:18

Thank you OP for posting that link, I was so in need of a good laugh! grin

oldgrandmama Sat 14-Sep-13 11:55:36

Jesus wept! No wonder M & S is in trouble.

LeonardoAcropolis Sat 14-Sep-13 12:02:21

It looks like an owl costume

VerySmallSqueak Sat 14-Sep-13 13:50:24

I will remain loyal to m&s for my knickers until the point they do them in beaver finish.

SomethingOnce Sat 14-Sep-13 14:20:23

I have my own beaver finish thanks, M&S.

I just snorted.

Imagine owning shares in M&S - that coat would make you furious.

BullieMama Sat 14-Sep-13 17:33:14

Dear god no wonder M and S profits are falling!

MardyBra Sat 14-Sep-13 17:46:36

I must have clicked on the link about 5 times now, and it's still funny each time.

creighton Sat 14-Sep-13 18:18:25

you ratbags made me look at the links now the adverts are following me around the internet on my email service. the coats look like a badger parade, someone call harry hill!

Oooh that coat! I'm going to start collecting road kill and make my own grin

IsaacCox Sat 14-Sep-13 19:34:34

I have that coat sad

I jest grin

Jeez it's awful.

YoniBottsBumgina Sat 14-Sep-13 19:40:00

I like to pronounce it in a terrible-80s-sitcom-esque "Italiano" accent as speZZ-ee-al. It just seems to fit.

Because I've always looked at tweed and thought "That would look great magnified 1000x on a t-shirt"

pigletmania Sat 14-Sep-13 19:40:16

Speziul rigggggggt

phantomnamechanger Sat 14-Sep-13 19:49:21

OMG therealhousewife that's dress is very Cruella De Ville!

HoneyDragon Sat 14-Sep-13 19:50:05

For the children in case you want to coordinate

FourEyesGood Sat 14-Sep-13 21:10:13

DH and I have just had a bit of a cry over that one. It's definitely speziale. You'll all be astounded to learn that there are still at least 10 in stock in every size.
