To wonder what on EARTH she sees in him?

40 YO Peter Andre and his 23 YO GF are expecting a baby.

She's just finished a degree in medicine and has the world at her feet.

I Just Don't Get It.

TabithaStephens Tue 23-Jul-13 14:06:40

Money? Rippling abs? Celebrity?

CaptainSweatPants Tue 23-Jul-13 14:07:21

A billion threads on this already!

She's in lurve

She's fame hungry & addicted to itv2 reality shows

Who knows?!!

His orange glow hypnotises her

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 14:08:18

She's GOT money and alongside those rippling --but not quite as rippling as they used to be--abs he is a total twerp!

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 14:08:58

Where are the threads? I only saw one in sleb twaddle with minimal posts.

Fairylea Tue 23-Jul-13 14:11:13

Well if it doesn't work out she's young enough to go back and have a career in medicine and pick up where she left off! smile

She might be as boring as him, so didn't have many options

EBearhug Tue 23-Jul-13 15:43:17

She's probably got a lot of post-student debt.

Whothefuckfarted Tue 23-Jul-13 15:46:44

Maybe she loves him and he treats her well?

CheeseandPickledOnion Tue 23-Jul-13 15:49:55

Maybe being 40 doesn't mean he's past it!!!

MalcolmTuckersMum Tue 23-Jul-13 15:50:10

What's your actual problem here OP? Ok, you don't fancy him but chances are she won't fancy your partner so that's ok. I can't see how this relationship is really honestly going to cause the actual end of her life so it can't be that. She's just graduated? Well knowledge doesn't have a sell-by date so it's not that.

So really? What's the big deal?

NotYoMomma Tue 23-Jul-13 15:55:03

Peter Andre seems like a nice guy though - you have to do what you have to do, I think he will be in a bit of a zlist trap tbh, its not like he can go get a job at the local now is it?

they seem nice together too

NotYoMomma Tue 23-Jul-13 15:56:01

When i was 17 I fell madly in love with a 35 year-old - he was soooo manly.

WorraLiberty Tue 23-Jul-13 16:04:00

What a weird thing to wonder.

If you know him personally then it's a fair enough question I suppose

But if you don't, then I'm quite sure she'll be 'seeing' things that you don't...because you don't know him.

OwlinaTree Tue 23-Jul-13 16:04:55

You feel very strongly about that, NotYoMomma wink

LadyBryan Tue 23-Jul-13 16:05:19

YABU - you don't know either of them, therefore cannot judge what their relationship is.

Is it the age difference? One of my fave sleb crushes is 70. He's 40 years older than me. He's on my laminated list grin

MalcolmTuckersMum Tue 23-Jul-13 16:08:46

And since her father is a surgeon I'd have thought it unlikely that she's hooked up with Mr Andre as a way of clearing her student debt. Sometimes a lot actually the mealymouthed stuff that gets said here leaves me shock

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 16:17:55

I agree with you Op but Pete seem's to have a lot of fan's.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and my opinion is ho looks's old enough to be her Father.

And he is too smarmy for my liking but a lot of people think he's the bee's knee's but such is life!

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 16:19:19

he that should be

MalcolmTuckersMum Tue 23-Jul-13 16:22:05

That quite some apostrophe abuse you've got going on there dontwanna - way to go!

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 16:27:43

I have Dyslexia and probably am not the best at writing things, so thank you foe commenting on that MalcolmTuckersMum hmm

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 16:28:17

Meant to say Dyspraxia but probably a wee bit Dyslexia

Cravey Tue 23-Jul-13 16:29:00

I think not yo momma likes peter andre lol .

KobayashiMaru Tue 23-Jul-13 16:30:06

I think a better question is : Why would you possibly care?

ABitLesMis Tue 23-Jul-13 16:30:23

Is it the age gap you have an issue with OP?

She sees the love shining out of his soul, the love that only Pete has, who could resist that. hmm

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 16:35:18

No I have no issue with the age gap. I am late thirties myself, my last boyfriend was 28.

I just cannot understand why a girl like that with so many opportunities ahead of her would choose to spend her life with such a joke of a man. I thought he was a controlling, sulky arsehole on his reality show and I wonder if he's the same with her.

glastocat Tue 23-Jul-13 16:35:32

I thought Dyspraxia was about motor skills (my son was assessed for it).
As for Andre and his girlfriend, I agree she could do a lot better! But then I'm sure people say the same about my husband, and he doesn't love his kids half as much as the Orange one. grin

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 16:36:43

grin at "she's probably got a lot of post student debt".

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 16:37:52

It is motor skills, but did u not read my post, I said probably a bit dyslexia too.

cantspel Tue 23-Jul-13 16:39:03

But you dont know him and she clearly does so maybe you are wrong in your view of him gleamed from a tv show rather than meeting and having a relationship with the man.

WorraLiberty Tue 23-Jul-13 16:40:39

You're basing your opinion of him on a TV show?

Well that's probably your answer then...his girlfriend isn't.

Not sure why you mentioned the age gap if you're not bothered about it?

LessMissAbs Tue 23-Jul-13 16:43:49

She probably has a rather glamorous image of him, and he has probably treated her well and taken her to lots of fun, glamorous nights out, premieres, etc.. Shes pleasant looking but relatively ordinary, and if she has just finished a degree in medicine, he probably offers an escape route from all the stress, annoying male medical students, etc..

why do you care? im sure they are happy i don't know them but i hope they will be happy, if they are not im sure you can post a thread saying i told you so..

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 16:50:26

Why does anyone care about anything and post on MN?

Feminine Tue 23-Jul-13 16:51:57

Nasty thread. I have only seen him portrayed in a positive light. Why wouldn't she want to be with him?

glastocat Tue 23-Jul-13 16:55:49

Because he is bright orange?

cantspel Tue 23-Jul-13 16:56:46

maybe she likes orange

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 16:57:02

What would I be saying "I told you so about"? What have I told you?

KobayashiMaru Tue 23-Jul-13 16:57:30

Usually because it relates to their life in some way and impacts them?

This is just infantile gossiping about people you think you know but don't. Haven't we got a Sleb Shite topic you could post in?

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:00:08

grin you are SO obnoxious on every thread you are on Kob.

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 17:02:02

I thinks it's more rude to slag off a poster on a forums writing than it is to slag off a celebrity none of us know.

GeneHuntsMistress Tue 23-Jul-13 17:02:24

The future's bright.

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 17:03:26

Everyone has celebs they are not keen on, if not them put your hands up if you like every famous person on the planet!

ShoutyCrackers Tue 23-Jul-13 17:04:55

Me too dontwanna, but some posters like to feel superior.

As to the OP - I agree. Ah, Peter Andre. If only his life wasn't shrouded in mystery and intrigue and we could be allowed just a small glimpse into the world of this enigmatic man. I mean, he's just so private and insular isn't he ?

Nerfmother Tue 23-Jul-13 17:05:17

The only weird thing is she met though his surgeon ( it's her dad) when he had an op. I have never even when going private been introduced to prospective husbands

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:05:37

grin indeed shouty, that's why I seek to understand.........

Feminine Tue 23-Jul-13 17:07:59

He isn't orange anyway!

VitoCorleone Tue 23-Jul-13 17:10:27

Maybe they love eachother?

sunshine401 Tue 23-Jul-13 17:10:59

confused Maybe they love each other....

I hope they have a lovely pregnancy and soon enough a beautiful bundle of joy grin

MalcolmTuckersMum Tue 23-Jul-13 17:11:58

I'm not slagging off your writing. I'm expressing shock at the sheer amount and placing of apostrophes in your post - unlikely, in my experience, to be a direct result of either dyslexia or dyspraxia (which may cause you to have difficulty typing or writing but certainly not with the placing of punctuation marks.
I don't care one way or the other about Peter Andre but if I did I'd go to the sleb twaddle topic and read all about it there.

ShoutyCrackers Tue 23-Jul-13 17:12:31

And let's not beat around the bush here. This man is a game hungry parasite who pimps put his kids on tv at any given opportunity to ensure he stays firmly in the limelight.

As to why this girl is with him and they're having a baby within a year of meeting - well who knows? I ( generously ) give it two years.

ShoutyCrackers Tue 23-Jul-13 17:13:51

You sound pretty awful Malcolm. Why don't you stop now? And if you don't care either way about PA why did you contribute to a thread about him?

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 17:14:57

How do you know what it's like, I have trouble with left/right, cant drive, can hardly swim, cant dance have too left feet! I also have a lot of trouble knowing where and when not to put apostrophes.

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 17:17:50

well said ShoutyCrackers but you aren't allowed opinions on here about Peter it seems

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 17:19:01

Unless its how fab he is and how terrible you are for thinking he's not great

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:21:13

Not sure it's "Peter" as such, more that the subject matter didn't meet the USUAL high standard set by the AIBU Crew hmm.

KobayashiMaru Tue 23-Jul-13 17:23:54

I am? Hello pot, this is kettle, did you know you're black?

dontwannasaywho Tue 23-Jul-13 17:23:55

Don't worry about it Sparklysilversequins, my apostrophes aren't going down too well either smile

Chippednailvarnish Tue 23-Jul-13 17:27:20

Peter Andre reminds me of Liberace.

Not sure why...

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:27:47

I do find you horribly rude and abrupt on the threads I have been on with you Kob and I don't post that often so I am afraid that's my opinion.

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:28:50

grin Liberace!

KobayashiMaru Tue 23-Jul-13 17:30:17

Bully for you. I don't see what that has to do with anything. Bit like your thread.

GladbagsGold Tue 23-Jul-13 17:33:37

Aw hes not that bad! Who knows what she sees in him, she is indeed a mysterious girl. Maybe she is insane (ia)

picnicbasketcase Tue 23-Jul-13 17:36:38

It's because he loves his kids so why shouldn't have a few more?

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:37:35

Just find it a bit unnecessary really. Not sure what you and others of your ilk are getting out of it, trying to make other posters feel silly or "infantile" or correcting punctuation. If its not something you deem worthy of discussion, why not just ignore it? Basically even if you offer valuable advice on another thread I would see your name and just skim over it thinking "oh there's that misery guts Kob again". Why do you want to be seen like that confused?

roundtable Tue 23-Jul-13 17:37:58

It's because he loves his kids so much?

When the apocalypse comes you'll all worship at the alter of the Andre. He'll be the only source of light from his dewy, orange glow.

Age is irrelevant.

I'd be more concerned about the banana situation.

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:39:00

wink I see what you did there gladbags.

KobayashiMaru Tue 23-Jul-13 17:39:01

I'm having an opinion, same as you.
Whats the personal, indepth, rudeness to me? Haven't you got enough to do what with assessing the lives of celebs, surely you don't have time for a character assasination of me?

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:40:23

I am responding to your unnecessary rudeness and attempt to make me feel silly on this thread and others I have seen you on too. If you can dish it out, I am sure you can take some back too.

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:40:44

WHAT is the banana situation?

TimeofChange Tue 23-Jul-13 17:41:30

I think it is mean to criticise spellings and punctuation on here.

Everyone's view is of equal worth, whether their punctuation is accurate or not.

Is MN just for those who think they are superior beings as they would achieve 100% in English Language?

Chippednailvarnish Tue 23-Jul-13 17:42:53

(Wants to join in with Glad but didn't know he had more than one song)

Has anyone mentioned that he really loves his kids? grin

TimeofChange Tue 23-Jul-13 17:45:06

Maybe the Full Moon is causing all the aggro & meanness on here.

(Not sure if that should be 1 x n or 2 x nn in meanness)
No doubt the experts will tell me.

KobayashiMaru Tue 23-Jul-13 17:46:29

I didn't attempt to make you feel anything, why would I care how you feel? You're the one who got personal.
now, don't let me distract you from your fascinating insights into the love life of some guy who's famous for being orange and being married to a woman with large breasts. I'm agog.
<hides thread>

GladbagsGold Tue 23-Jul-13 17:47:41

They were the only two I knew Chipped!

But here you go:

bamboostalks Tue 23-Jul-13 17:51:02

Her parents must be profoundly depressed, he's a turd.

MarcelineTheVampireQueen Tue 23-Jul-13 17:54:09

I don't know either, he is as thick as bottled shite and the same colour to boot.

Who says we dont know him? He sold out his dying brother ffs in order to get a few bob. I know more bout him than I do my dp. And I dont LOOK for this info!! He is everywhere like the sun (which he matches incidentally) you cant avoid him!

He is probably rubbing his varnished hands in glee thinking of all the money he will make off this.

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:55:59

No further insight from me I am afraid but maybe you might gain something positive from this thread despite its fluffy subject matter, in that now someone has pointed out your unpleasant posting style you may have a little more self awareness?

KobayashiMaru Tue 23-Jul-13 17:56:27

And just before I do, lets review. You say blah blah, I say why do you care, and you say "OMG, you're such a bitch blah blah this is why you're awful"

now, who was it was obnoxious again? Hint, its you. And Peter Andre, possibly

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 17:58:44

If I was the kind to criticise inaccurate punctuation I might wonder why you put that in quotation marks when I never said anything even remotely like it. But I am not, so you're fine smile.

bulletpoint Tue 23-Jul-13 20:48:31

KoyabashiMaru - Oh for goodness sake! Stop being a Xenia wanna be, at least she's authentic!

Chippednailvarnish Tue 23-Jul-13 21:02:10

He's had nine albums! (Am I allowed exclamation marks or are they also grammatically incorrect?)

Maybe he's a bit like Cliff Richards, sold loads of records, but I've never met anyone who would admit buying them.

Sparklysilversequins Tue 23-Jul-13 21:06:53

He once said he wouldn't deem himself successful as a singer unless he could fill stadiums for his concerts. What are the chances do you think?

Nine albums? I know the names of TWO of his songs and that's only because Glads said them earlier in the thread.

GaryBarlowsPants Wed 24-Jul-13 13:53:55

I will admit to once buying a Cliff Richard album Sparkly and I quite like Peter Andre

Someone help me please.

TheFuzz Wed 24-Jul-13 15:30:57

He is not as nice as you think. A charity I know had him for a gala evening recently. Supposed to be free. A whopping 20k bill arrived for his security staff for one evening. Rip off merchant indeed. He is in it for the cadh.

Chippednailvarnish Wed 24-Jul-13 15:42:33

Therapy. Gary you need therapy.

Sparklysilversequins Wed 24-Jul-13 15:48:13

I am not at all surprised Thefuzz.

ComposHat Wed 24-Jul-13 16:01:48

Sparkly some (not all) of Cliff's 50s and 60s output is fucking brilliant. I concede he has done his best to ruin his legacy, by being a bit of a tool and recording nothing but dreck for 30 odd years.

Originally written for Jimi Hendrix and all, but the bugger went and died.

MarmaladeTwatkins Wed 24-Jul-13 16:23:54

Have I stumbled into NetHuns?

I remember a time when such a thread would have been filled with witty, funny posters, roundly mocking the Orange Buffoon just like he deserves.

But here we seem to have his fanbase leaping to his defence. Oh the times they are a changin'... sad

Chippednailvarnish Wed 24-Jul-13 16:34:50

Liberace wasn't a compliment Marmalade wink

ComposHat Wed 24-Jul-13 16:35:25

yeah cliff that'll really deflect those persistent rumours about yout sexuality.

Sparklysilversequins Wed 24-Jul-13 17:42:08

Indeed marmalade could have done with you here last night! The PA love was totally out of hand!
