Katie Hopkins and her drivel about ginger babies being harder to love

I am being unreasonable for letting that woman give me the rage, I know that.

I'm deliberately not linking to the Daily Fail as that I presume is the whole point of this troll.

But AIBU for fantasising about flushing that woman's head repeatedly down a stinky lav?

KeepYerTitsIn Wed 10-Jul-13 23:48:59

YANBU. Christ the woman is desperate for attention isn't she? But YABU for starting a thread about her and thereby giving her what she wants. If we all ignore her surely she'll eventually fuck off?

jacks365 Wed 10-Jul-13 23:49:13

I'll get my two wonderful and very loveable ginger haired dd to help you. Dd1 (19) sent me a link to the interview because she was so disgusted by her.

MaryMotherOfCheeses Wed 10-Jul-13 23:50:11

I wouldn't let her bother you tbh. She's a loon. What more do you need to know?

JumpingJacks Wed 10-Jul-13 23:50:32

She says it to get attention do she stays relevant and can earn ££££ by staying in the papers.

The more you talk about her, the better it is for her.

Ignore. Ignore. Ignore

Bumpotato Wed 10-Jul-13 23:51:40

Sigh even this thread is feeding that twunt, link or no link.

SinisterBuggyMonth Wed 10-Jul-13 23:56:11

Oh she's a noony.

I actually think she has a tombola type headline generator in her basement and when the daily mail paycheque is getting low she wanders downstairs and gives it a spin....

WilsonFrickett Wed 10-Jul-13 23:57:01

She is a stupid cow.

She is also a stupid cow who would quite literally wet her knickers if the highly ginger Prince Harry wanted to wed one of her kids. So I am saying nowt. Except that she is a cow.

MammaTJ Wed 10-Jul-13 23:57:48

I have three children, one of them blonde, two of them ginger. I love them all equally, even the one with the same hair colour as KH, I am THAT broad minded!

Bumpotato Thu 11-Jul-13 00:02:39

Yep I had ginger and dark haired babies. They were equally easy to love, funny that.

timidviper Thu 11-Jul-13 00:04:49

I think she says some incredibly stupid stuff but, at the same time, I kind of admire her because she states strong opinions without fear of political correctness, etc.

In a society where politicians have no values other than saying what they think the public want to hear and celebrities are totally inane, life is becoming more and more homogenous so, no matter whether I like her opinions or not, I think it is refreshing to have someone say these things openly even if only to make the rest of us sit up in outrage!

Longdistance Thu 11-Jul-13 00:10:50

And to think some poor bloke shagged her three times. She's no oil painting hmm

She is desperate for attention, it must be like a bottle of Evian on a hot day to a thirsty woman.

Ignore her.

Although I think what she says about ginger hair should be illegal. To me it is the same as making racist comments.

"Gingerism" has been compared to racism, although this is widely disputed, and bodies such as the UK Commission for Racial Equality do not monitor cases of discrimination and hate crimes against redheads.[57] A UK woman recently won an award from a tribunal after being sexually harassed and receiving abuse because of her red hair;[58] a family in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, was forced to move twice after being targeted for abuse and hate crime on account of their red hair;[59] and in 2003, a 20-year-old was stabbed in the back for "being ginger".[60] In May 2009, a British schoolboy committed suicide after being bullied for having red hair.[61] The British singer Mick Hucknall, who says that he has repeatedly faced prejudice or been described as ugly on account of his hair color, argues that Gingerism should be described as a form of racism.[62][63]"

LayMeDown Thu 11-Jul-13 00:20:56

timidviper Are you seriously suggesting that this woman has a strongly held believe that red haired children are less easy to love than other kids? Because there is no way she believes this, she is just saying it to get attention and stir up controversy.
In the meanwhile I have a beautiful, loving, generous and extremely sensitive red haired child, who if they got wind of this might actually worry that his Dad and I don't love them as much as their siblings because of their hair.
So she perpetuates the bullying and undermining of red haired children in order to further her career the horrible bitch.

Itsaboatjack Thu 11-Jul-13 00:30:23

I usually manage to avoid this vile woman (by not reading the daily mail), but I did see her on the Wright Stuff today, still peddling her kids names drivel, and was quite shocked when she made the ginger comment. She comes across as a bully pure and simple.

Why not write to the paper that gave a moving wind (the wind of a fart) to her story and see if they want to print an apology from her! She would be so torn between her desire to stand by her viperous viewpoint and her desire to get as much publicity for herself, who knows what she would do!

Red haired people are lovely, beautiful. There are so many new red haired female heroes on TV/film - Ben Ten's Gwen, Disney's Brave, Atomic Betty, Candace and Phinius Flynn from Phinisu and Ferb. There are lots more.

Sorry and male ones, Phinius is a boy!

FirstStopCafe Thu 11-Jul-13 02:21:07

She gives me rage. I don't believe she truly thinks all the ridiculous things she says because I'm not sure anybody could. What a vile person to say things to upset so many people just for attention.

Onesleeptillwembley Thu 11-Jul-13 02:23:46

Bit rich coming from a boastful adulterous whore.

My dd and ds are both blonde/red and i adore every inch of them especially when ds needs a haircut and looks like ed sheeran grin they are often more blond than red and I moan its been a while since the reds shown on them.

Kh is a god damn fool, her dc will be so ashamed of her when they're older. Worse than that they may turn out like her then she'll suffer her consequences.

Scraggy bint.

Morloth Thu 11-Jul-13 02:59:11

LOL, by all accounts Katie Hopkins is full of shit.

Don't give her another thought, who cares what she thinks?

Who is she anyway?

glastocat Thu 11-Jul-13 03:46:34

She's just a DM troll, don't feed her with attention.

rabbitlady Thu 11-Jul-13 04:14:43

its a crock of shite.

MyBaby1day Thu 11-Jul-13 04:38:22

She's a baddan saying something like that, if it was about a certain race she would not be allowed to do it but somehow ginger-haired children are fair game-WRONG! angry. It must be hurtful to the parents!. She shouldn't be given a platform. Sad for her children too!.

cleofatra Thu 11-Jul-13 04:47:43

TBH I'm more annoyed at the outlets that employ her. I think it was a bit rich to push the "Holly gets annoyed at Katie" clips for publicity, If you are so horrified by her views, can her from the show ITV. Scummers.

PigOnStilts Thu 11-Jul-13 05:04:54

I have two and they are beautiful. In Spain they are fawned over and fussed like anything, in Scotland nobody bats an eyelid but I'd hate to live in England with them. It's only the English that seem to care!

SaylorMoon Thu 11-Jul-13 05:15:10

I do not want to give this woman(!) any space in my strawberry blonde head..

MissMogwi Thu 11-Jul-13 05:45:06

Jesus Christ, is she saving up for an extension or something?

She is just a hard faced rent a gob, and we should pity her. I wonder what she will come up with next?

I say this as mother to a beautiful, ginger haired daughter, who receives nothing but praise for her hair in the UK and abroad.

3boysgirlontheway Thu 11-Jul-13 06:22:15

I have two ginger children, a dark haired one and a blonde one, they are all the bloody same, none of them were any harder to love and none of them are any more or less special because of their hair.

She is a cunt! (can I say that?)

needasilverlining Thu 11-Jul-13 06:43:30

My pet theory: if we start a (very quiet) MN campaign to stop reacting to anything at all she says, she'll go away because she's qualified for nothing at all - she is a worthless meejahor who is there to get MN talking so a lazy journo can present the results as a 'row' or 'storm'.

Can we try it?

MamaChubbyLegs Thu 11-Jul-13 09:10:51

It's fine. I don't need a pathetic turdend like that to love my stunner of a ginger baby. In fact, I'd be offended if she did hmm

needasilverlining yes please?

HorseyGirl1 Thu 11-Jul-13 09:22:18

I think she just says these things because she is paid to hold 'outrageous' opinions. Saying these things means she can pay her mortgage. Regretable but true. I doubt she believes it even herself. xx

xylem8 Thu 11-Jul-13 09:24:55

I don't understand your reason for not linking
How do you expect people to comment on an article without reading it??

xylem8 Thu 11-Jul-13 09:31:10

I have just looked at the article and a picture of her and her children. Now it would be completely below the belt to describe a child has ugly, so I won't be the one to do it

Bumpotato Thu 11-Jul-13 09:31:44

Well it is out there without being linked. Plenty on twitter for example.

My AIBU was more to do with me having a fantasy about flushing her head down a stinky lav.

Agree there should be a MN campaign against the Meeja Hoors . Any time Jiz Loans, Katie and the like say something stupid and designed to upset, for clicks, we should quietly ignore or post a code word eg "meh" or something more random like "hatstand" on any thread that crops up and someone can politely tell the innocent OP why in a PM.

Emilythornesbff Thu 11-Jul-13 09:40:07

What a vile and hurtful (not to mention INCORRECT) thing to say.
Abuse of free speech.
What a fucking troll.

Emilythornesbff Thu 11-Jul-13 09:40:44

Flush away OP

catsmother Thu 11-Jul-13 09:41:52

No, YANBU re: the stinky lav (maybe you could do Samantha Thick at the same time ? ..)

I was genuinely disappointed my kids didn't have red hair when they were born - there's some redheads in previous generations so it wasn't an impossibility!

What is unreasonable though is the media encouraging this awful woman by giving her space to say "something controversial". Why do they do it - why ? Is it so the resulting publicity and outrage gets publicity for their paper/show ?

HappyJoyful Thu 11-Jul-13 09:45:23

cleofatra couldn't agree with you more. She enrages me, can't all these shows stop giving her air time?

Even my young male colleague was commenting on her ignorant views the other day so it's not just women and Mums that are getting hacked off with her.

Vile, ignorant woman

Emilythornesbff Thu 11-Jul-13 09:46:27

Ok. I bit.
But I'll join the "campaign" to post nothing and respond to nothing with her name in it.
<sign up to ignoring waste of space>

sue52 Thu 11-Jul-13 09:49:01

I've yet to encounter a baby I haven't thought beautiful. Katie Hopkins is just paid to be nasty and a hate figure.

yy to that idea OP, I like hatstand!

LilacPeony Thu 11-Jul-13 09:55:27

I agree with all those saying we should ignore her and not start posts about her vile bullying opinions. We are giving her exactly what she wants in getting wound up by her. Much better to ignore her.

SignoraStronza Thu 11-Jul-13 09:58:53

If she really were that much of the amazing business brain she seems to think she is, she'd be quietly getting on with, well, business. Trolling is probably her only source of income these days (other than maintenance from the rich fools who knocked her up). Let her get on with it - will soon dry up and can't imagine many people wanting to work with her now.

itsallshitandmoreshit Thu 11-Jul-13 10:01:22

From the article in the Daily Fail the first thing that struck me was how unattractive her own children were. Very unattractive.
I would never normally comment on a child's looks but, having two red-head children myself, I was keen to see these beautiful offspring of hers, seeing as she was so lucky in the gene stakes not having a 'ginger'.

She wasn't.

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom Thu 11-Jul-13 10:01:56

She is a loon with a desperate need to cling to a media career by being controversial. Ooh, get her.

I long since stopped paying attention to a single thing she says. Did Katie Hopkins say it - well file under bollocks and move on.

On a more political point, I find it really depressing that this is what gets a platform. There are so many interesting and important things to talk about. But we get shit like the importance of not being ginger and ensuring playdates have the correct upbringing. We get the media we deserve and I despair.

SarahAndFuck Thu 11-Jul-13 10:03:17

I'd quite like to see a photo of KH as a baby. As Ross from Friends would say "did you see the kid on that nose?"

ChocsAwayInMyGob Thu 11-Jul-13 10:04:01

Signora, I was just about write exactly what you wrote!

If she's such a bloody great businesswoman, how come she has ended up as a professional troll?

applecharlotte Thu 11-Jul-13 10:04:32

I'm furious at the Daily Fail for publishing this, yes there are utter morons in the world with completely idiotic views but why the fuck are they giving one of them a platform...argh! I really really hate them and will no longer peep at their femail gossip bit from time to time TWATS.

ChocsAwayInMyGob Thu 11-Jul-13 10:06:02

Don't click on any stories about her and don't comment.

The Daily Fail want traffic for advertisers and controversy does just that. Why else would they employ Liz Jones?

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom Thu 11-Jul-13 10:07:54

On that topic, I read a very sad interview with Liz Jones the other day in one of the Times papers (can't remember if it was Sunday or Saturday). Basically all about her chronically low self esteem and anorexia and how the desperate fear of being dumped as a columnist has totally disconnected her from reality. She seems to have led a rather sad life.

Still mad as a box of frogs, but did give me a little perspective on her writing.

Damnautocorrect Thu 11-Jul-13 10:09:30

I've not read the article but she frequently describes her children as not being attractive!

Itstartshere Thu 11-Jul-13 10:10:27

I think red hair is absolutely bloody gorgeous. Cannot understand why anyone doesn't.

KH is a troll. Seriously, it's nothing but trying to get more publicity, I doubt she even believes this nonsense.

No point getting upset over her. I do wish TV shows would stop using her but they know she gets a reaction.

ChocsAwayInMyGob Thu 11-Jul-13 10:17:57

Amanda, normally I would feel sorry for somebody in that position, but Liz Jones has insulted me and others like me so often and with such vitriol and ignorance that my sympathy for her has gone.

She hates mothers, she hates kids, she hates places where mothers take kids, she hates women who don't spend hundreds of pounds on clothes, she hates women who buy clothes from chain shops, she hates people who don't love animals as much as her, she hates men etc etc

emuloc Thu 11-Jul-13 10:41:21

Stop giving this person any thought or threads. Just ignore times by 100000. She is not stupid she is an intelligent person who is getting paid and laughing all the way to the bank. the attention she gets each tine she utters anything is unreal. She is the one taking great holidays and no doubt haying a lifestyle a lot of people would kill for. She would not be on tele or in the papers if they knew no one would take any notige of her.

runes Thu 11-Jul-13 10:52:43

KH is a spoon faced cunt. Nuff said.

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom Thu 11-Jul-13 11:01:10

chocs - oh don't get me wrong. I don't feel sorry for her. It was just interesting how miserable and troubled she is herself. Katie you get the impression enjoys what she does and thinks she's right. With Liz the hatred seems to really be coming from a place of self hatred.

sue52 Thu 11-Jul-13 11:02:05

itsallshitandmoreshit There is no need to be rude about KH's children.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS Thu 11-Jul-13 11:21:50

Yanbu. Saying obviously hurtful things repeatedly is unkind at best and downright nasty at worst.

jeanmiguelfangio Thu 11-Jul-13 11:22:55

My beautiful DD is a copper haired girl and everyone who meets her comments on how beautiful her hair colour is. What a sad life she leads that all she has to talk about is names and hair colour? And they pay her for this crap!

YouTheCat Thu 11-Jul-13 11:28:35

One of KH's kids looks like Boris Johnson's love child... just sayin'. grin

melika Thu 11-Jul-13 11:33:05

I'm not being funny (yes I am) but I have just looked up a picture of her kids and they are odd looking.

How dare she say my DS1 is a lesser person than her oddly named oiks, I loved my baby so much it was untrue. He had lovely golden hair and I was proud of him. I used to tell him he was very special cos not all children are blessed which such a lovely colour hair, Gods gift of golden hair. Total stuck up bitch. Bet she wouldn't say that to Prince Charles, would she?

spiderlight Thu 11-Jul-13 11:36:53

This is all I have to say on the matter.

mignonette Thu 11-Jul-13 11:38:54

Red haired people will soon be as rare as the Snow Leopard......And their hair is just as beautiful.

To all parents of little redheads- your children are rare and beautiful.

Ignore that disgusting little slut.

mignonette Thu 11-Jul-13 11:40:27

Please don't criticise her children. It is not their fault they have such a pitiful travesty of a parent.

Badvoc Thu 11-Jul-13 11:41:16

Don't feed the troll people.

gazzalw Thu 11-Jul-13 11:45:15

I just think she loves to be inflammatory - that is essentially what she is getting paid for when she appears on talk shows etc....

BerryLellow Thu 11-Jul-13 11:45:31

God this thread will be like oxygen to her. <Waves to Hatie Kokpins>

HatieKopkins Thu 11-Jul-13 11:47:24

Well, I thought she was quite reasonable, acksherlly.

giddywithglee Thu 11-Jul-13 11:49:47

Gah that woman! I have red hair and was massively picked on at school in a 'humourous' way (ginger minge, carrot top, Duracell (our uniform was black) etc). It made me miserable and really affected my self esteem for years. A friend recently told me that he fancied me at school but didn't dare ask me out because of fear of abuse because I had red hair (NB this didn't deter other, less wimpy boys!). People like her should be prosecuted. If she was peddling such crap about people from minority ethnic groups she'd be arrested.

BerryLellow Thu 11-Jul-13 11:52:37

nooooo, Kok pins grin

melika Thu 11-Jul-13 11:53:03

sue52 Thu 11-Jul-13 12:43:02

Leave her children alone. Can you imagine the poor little mites have to face their classmates everyday knowing that their mother has caused offence to many of them.

SoleSource Thu 11-Jul-13 13:45:20

Howled with laughter at MammaTJ's post..grin

Red haired people are gorgeous. [jealous]

Katie Hopkins is a loon.

SoleSource Thu 11-Jul-13 13:51:50

LayMeDown yes., the backlash of KH vile remarks could be very damaging.

LilacPeony Thu 11-Jul-13 14:19:00

I like HatieKopkins. Or how about Hatie Twatkins.

Doctorbrownbear Thu 11-Jul-13 14:27:24

Why why why is the media giving her a voice, why is she allowed to voice her vile views and discrimination. If she is actually voicing this stuff, imagine what she keeps to herself. She is a real life internet troll. Please This Morning, The Daily Mail and The Wright Stuff STOP LETTING THIS WOMAN TALK.

PigOnStilts Thu 11-Jul-13 15:09:02

The "I love red hair" brigade are probably very pleased, nonetheless, that they don't have kids wi red hair. Outside scotland, they seem to get a v hard time sad

Zyn Thu 11-Jul-13 15:11:14

I think she had to go some way to top the things she said about taylors and chardonnays! I knew that whatever came out of her mouth next would make our jaws drop.

Zyn Thu 11-Jul-13 15:13:13

I wonder if her mother said 'it's harder to love a child with such a big nose'. I'd have a nose job if I were her. I reckon she's saving up for a nose job.

SoleSource Thu 11-Jul-13 15:21:16

Pig - what a load of shyte

Onesleeptillwembley Thu 11-Jul-13 15:21:46

Actually there's no way her collar and cuffs match - she may have a bit of ginger in there.......

PigOnStilts Thu 11-Jul-13 15:31:03

No, not shite at all...I adore my kids, they've got red hair, I know when they are at school etc they'll get hassled for it at some point. My brother had a terrible time.

Nobody wants their kids to be picked on. So much as you might love it (I do too) I know they'll get teasd, inevitably....boys get it so much worse than girls.

Zyn Thu 11-Jul-13 15:33:56

So who exactly is paying her to say all this stuff. Or does she just chase after the tv stations saying 'listen to this, listen to this right, em, oh yeh, ginger babies - harder to love". And then say if you pay me, i'll sit on your sofa and elaborate.

encyclogirl Thu 11-Jul-13 15:41:30

I am a redhead and I'll admit I was very relieved when my dd was born blonde and even more relieved that ds was born dark brown.

I took no end of crap for my hair colour growing up, and looking back I was bloody gorgeous, looked a bit like Merida in Brave.

When I moved to London from Ireland in my early twenties it got ridiculous. The constant 'banter' about my hair colour really got me down and the thought of my own dc ever having to endure that was just too much to bear.

Now in my 40's and back home in Ireland, I don't notice any 'Gingerism', but when I was at the receiving end of it, I felt like shit.

On the up side, I have never had to colour my hair, not a single grey thread amongst the gold yet, and it was the reason my lovely dh struck up a conversation with me all those years ago in a bar in West London.

I love my red hair now, and feel extremely lucky to have been born with it, but it was a journey to get to this point.

bettycocker Thu 11-Jul-13 16:05:22

Who is this Katie Hopkins? Hasn't she already cropped up on MN recently?

Two of my best friends have ginger hair and one of them is married to a man who also happens to have ginger hair. grin

KurriKurri Thu 11-Jul-13 16:15:04

Good old Katie - just when you thought it wasn't possible to loathe her any more than you already do, she ups her game.

HatieKopkins Thu 11-Jul-13 16:17:21

She's no BamanthaSick, that's for sure.

CrapBag Thu 11-Jul-13 16:37:56

Fucking moronic parasite of a woman. Yes lets give more people ammunition to discriminate against something like hair colour (doesn't seem to happen to brunettes and blondes though, why is red any different). How is this any difference to racism? She wouldn't be allowed to say this based on someone's skin colour so she shouldn't be able to say it about anyone based on their hair colour.

<looks at beautiful redheaded DD and loves her just as much as brunette DS>

CrapBag Thu 11-Jul-13 16:40:28

encyclogirl that's the reason that I did worry about having redhaired children actually. DH said he put up with loads of crap about his hair. I do worry about the same for DD, who is stunning and I do get a lot of comments, but kids are always different and will pick on something. I just hope that it isn't as common these days as it was years ago but then fucking dicks like Katie Hopkins come along and its like it was 20/30 years ago all over again.

Scrounger Thu 11-Jul-13 17:14:26

My DH is ginger, people tried to take the piss out of him at school, he developed a very sharp tongue. Our children have a mix of both our colours, darkish with fantastic ginger highlights.

I think it is unfair and very bad taste to bring her children into it.

Having said that, if I was her child entering my rebellious teenage years there will be sooo many things that I would be able to do. Starting with seeing a ginger boy called Tyler. Just think of the fun you could have.

raisah Thu 11-Jul-13 18:14:57

One of her kids will settle down with a redhead & give birth to her ginger grandchildren.

ChocsAwayInMyGob Thu 11-Jul-13 19:06:33

I was a ginger baby, and my DH really fancies "Gingers" and feels he is very lucky to have "got one". He loves me something daft.

NapaCab Thu 11-Jul-13 20:06:55

She has a point though. Some people are harder to love than others.

I think ignorant blonde horse-faced loudmouths are harder to love, for example. If you've been starved of love all your life for being an ignorant blonde horse-faced loudmouth, chronic attention-seeking would be the result.

PoppyAmex Thu 11-Jul-13 20:15:00

"Agree there should be a MN campaign against the Meeja Hoors . OP I'm totally behind you on this one. Every comment feeds her ego, but more importantly it gives her leverage to peddle another vile diatribe to the DM. No attention=no articles=money

PoppyAmex Thu 11-Jul-13 20:15:07

=no money

Alisvolatpropiis Thu 11-Jul-13 20:21:58

I find her hilarious. She's just so outrageously unpleasant it's laughable.

For what it's worth I think the attitude towards red heads (which most of the rest of the world finds utterly bizarre) is changing.

I think red heads are very attractive. It's so unusual. I only inherited the complexion from my red headed mum sad I have high hopes of it skipping a generation and having red headed children though smile

congresstart Thu 11-Jul-13 20:47:01

Shes a desperado for attention....shes a first class assclown.

Why don't we all write to the equalities commission and ask them why red hair is not included in anti-discrimination legislation. Genes in our bodies produce our eye, hair and skin colour, we have no control over it.

I know globally people with albinism is very persecuted and I am really so sorry to hear that people with ginger hair are bullied/persecuted/treated differently because of their hair in this country.

If Katie Hopkins made those comments about babies of a different ethnicity she would not be receiving the publicity for it in this way (IMHO).

Alisvolatpropiis Fri 12-Jul-13 00:10:39

I believe albinism is classed as disability. Being a red head is not. There are no associated health issues with the latter.

I think the anti red head attitude is very much a British attitude. Who knows where it stemmed from?! It was once suggested to me it might be to do with the Celts and Romans as sterotypically the Celts were red headed. It's such an odd thing.

But in the current age in which we all embrace being individual the attitude towards red heads is changing.

Thanks * Alisvolatpropiis* that is interesting. It looks like is is considered a disability in the UK because of sight problems associated with it. In the USA and other places there seems to be ambiguity about whether or not it is a disability.

Aside from that there are lots of things that are not a disability but which people can be bullied for.

Re red headed people I am very glad the attitude is changing.

However, if the equality commission really do not record hate crimes against red headed people I think it is wrong. It would also make it harder to know whether views are changing if statistics for bullying on these grounds are not recorded.

giddywithglee Fri 12-Jul-13 09:51:22

napacab grin just spat my coffee out laughing!

Both my littlies have dark hair like my DH and I have to admit I'm relived because I don't want the bullies to have any fodder. I STILL (and I'm 36) get people shouting 'ginger' at me in the street. I always shout back 'wow, aren't you observant!'.

My hair isn't actually GINGER. It is dark red. My hairdresser recently told me that it is the most beautiful hair he has ever seen in his life and if I ever ask him to colour it he will refuse (he's not a dodgy perve in his 60s, by the way, but a rather cool 20-something who has won awards and tours with Redken).

I think it is awful how KH has opened the doors for her own children to be judged, slated and ostracised.By opening slagging off other children for everything from their hair colour to their names, and then by publicly displaying their photos and ruining any privacy they had.

I don't care whether she holds politically incorrect views or not, really. If that is her opinion,so be it.I do think it's bloody shitty parenting for her to put her own kids in the line of fire,so to speak.

Even on this thread, there are people criticising her kids features.Jesus, that's nasty. And it will be said to her children in their classrooms too, have no doubt about that.sad

Stupid cow.

My redheads are very loveable thank you very much. I suspect KH is much much harder to love.

Whatever she says, I think most people will do the opposite now.

Slight aside, but giddywithglee, you don't commute through Charing Cross around 8:20 every morning do you? If you do then your's is the hair I have wanted all my life.

giddywithglee Fri 12-Jul-13 16:13:08

No Slug, but now I'm going to have to so I can see this other person's hair!

slug Fri 12-Jul-13 16:28:03

Waist length, thick, waves gently into loose ringlets at the end and the most glorious shade of red. <<sigh>>

pigletmania Fri 12-Jul-13 16:29:15

That's what I is, op drivel

I'm another one who would have been really happy to have a child born with red hair. Sadly none have even though ds had reddish tints.

My gran had lovely copper coloured hair and my ex family are ginger, he isnt but he has dark hair and a ginger beard! Our two girls are blonde.

Why does red hair have such negative connotations. My friend said she would just be devastated if she had a red haired baby. Stupid cow.

giddywithglee Fri 12-Jul-13 16:38:28

ghostsgowooh both times I've been pregnant friends have 'joked' about whether I'm going to have a ginger baby, as though it would be a terrible thing!

giddywithglee Fri 12-Jul-13 16:40:07

slug that actually doesn't sound dissimilar to my hair 'cept I've just had it cut to shoulder length as unmanageable with two smallies!

xylem8 Fri 12-Jul-13 16:42:40

I suspect her brief is to bring in as much traffic as possible to the site and this is what she is doing
Is she stupid? No
Is she an amoral guttersnipe? Yes!!!

ChocsAwayInMyGob Fri 12-Jul-13 22:32:31

xylem8- That's what I've always thought about Liz Jones and other professional trolls. They write incendiary stuff to attract traffic. Traffic equals ad revenue. No publicity is bad publicity.

So much for KH's business sense if this is the best way she can make money.
