Tiredmumno1 Thu 04-Jul-13 14:49:54

Charming grin

Well me and sparkling are still here wink

I havent got the imagination or energy to name change.

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 14:53:43

I'm very -- boring-- helpful & not often controversial so have no need to namechange & will keep this name plus seasonal variations forever.

Tiredmumno1 Thu 04-Jul-13 14:54:00

And Tantrums is here, there you go now you can relax, knowing we are all still watching you grinbrew

Tiredmumno1 Thu 04-Jul-13 14:54:47

Well hello onetiredmummy smile

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 14:55:25

im not really here.

it is so dull and boring here lately.

And anyway hully where the bloody hell have you been lately??

NinaHeart Thu 04-Jul-13 14:56:33

Why does no-one recognise me even though I never name change?

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 14:56:34

Hello fellow knackered dogsbody smile good to see you

There's loads of names I don't see around anymore:

et all

MrsDeVere Thu 04-Jul-13 14:56:40

Well who the fuck do you think I am?
Or are you saying you don't know me? hmm

<HIGHLY offended?

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 14:57:23

HELLO NINA <waves>

NinaHeart Thu 04-Jul-13 14:58:40

HELLO Onetiredmummy. Waves back and it highly delighted not to be invisible!!

NinaHeart Thu 04-Jul-13 14:59:02

It? IT? I meant IS. Can't even type the smallest word....

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 14:59:45

I fucked up the strikethrough on my 1st post, don't worry smile

Tiredmumno1 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:00:44

Tantrums stop fibbing we can all see you grin

Nina I recognise your name smile

onetiredmummy grin

MrsD sorry didn't see you there wink

NinaHeart Thu 04-Jul-13 15:01:43

I'm THINKING of name changing......but can't decide to what.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Thu 04-Jul-13 15:02:22

I'm still here but no one notices me <<sulk>>

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:02:23

I recognise everyone here smile

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:03:24

I'm here. No one else matters.

MammaTJ Thu 04-Jul-13 15:05:13

Too much like hard work to name change!

Tiredmumno1 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:05:33

I am deeply offended Tee grin

ARealDame Thu 04-Jul-13 15:06:45

Yes, IKWYM, it is a bit sad. It is nice to recognise a name, though a bit confusing/upsetting if you find suddenly you don't agree with them at all on something hmm.

I name-change too sometimes. S'pose I don't want to be "outed" after lots of threads/posts. Also maybe especially if I've had a bit of a rant after a wine.

Though, as I 'm getting older, I am who I am, should I care?

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:06:57

You don't matter so I don't care.

DrDumbass Thu 04-Jul-13 15:07:33

I had to nc, but don't think anyone'd notice, i was a bit too nondescript to stick out.....

Tiredmumno1 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:08:07

<karate chops Tee, and makes mental note to take off Christmas card list>

Tiredmumno1 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:08:36

Aggghhhh what happened to my message sadangry

RoseFlowerFairy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:10:58

Sarahstratton used to post a lot, what happened to her and IloveTiffany, were they the same person? Also what happened to that poster Graceagain?

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:11:31

Why did you have to change DrD

you bought the used pole? you are the yoni masseur in secret? you have an embarrassing problem down there & forgot to namechange? you are having a child free wedding?

<intrigued> <nosey>

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:11:45

Stratters went off to do DIY and never returned.

Was I on your Christmas card list? I never got one... ::narrows eyes suspiciously::

TheVermiciousKnid Thu 04-Jul-13 15:12:33

Tee! You've survived softplay hell! I'm sorry, I forgot about the search party.

TheVermiciousKnid Thu 04-Jul-13 15:13:10

<ignorse Hully>

Tiredmumno1 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:13:16

Whoops my message did post, it was coming up blank on the app hmm

shock Tee, you didn't receive one? Well I'm writing my complaint to Royal Mail as we speak grin

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:13:35

It's okay knid I posted on that thread to assure everyone I was alive.

It was actually rather pleasant. Except that their wifi was down. Nice coffee, though.

TheVermiciousKnid Thu 04-Jul-13 15:13:53

<ignores Hully as well as ignorsing her>

Im disappointed tee you had a good time and did not come back with an AIBU?

cocolepew Thu 04-Jul-13 15:16:31

Little Lapin!? She hasn'tt been here for years grin
Stratters pissed off and bupcakes is under a new name.

MadBusLady Thu 04-Jul-13 15:16:33

It's ok. I'M HERE.

I don't like people namechanging. I might start agreeing with them when previously I had thought they were a bastard or something.

Kleptronic Thu 04-Jul-13 15:16:38

I'm here but no-one knows me and I work full time. Which gets in the way.

Blondeshavemorefun Thu 04-Jul-13 15:16:52

im still here - wouldnt know how to change my name even if i wanted to, which i dont grin

MarinaIvy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:17:18

I have't namechanged, but I'm thinking about it (using my own name is boring!).

But all the good references to Terry Pratchett are gone, my one attempts at a good, obscure Wodehouse reference got lost in the ether. Am bereft of inspiration.

So I'm still here, hully. You bastard right back. wink wine

I'm here but you probably have no idea who I am.

I'm in incognito mode

FunnysInLaJardin Thu 04-Jul-13 15:17:59

who ja mean Hully Tell me who you are missing and I'll give you a straight yay or nay

BearWithBearWith Thu 04-Jul-13 15:19:02

I've not namechanged but I never post...oh, hang on a minute....

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 15:19:08

I dunno...I just know I don't see as many names I know no more <cries a bit>

MadBusLady Thu 04-Jul-13 15:19:13

Your false moustache has fallen off again, SP.

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:19:24

Who was that masked poster?

Tantrums I was the AIBU...son ate a sausage roll and froot shoot for lunch. He wasn't, however, the one throwing the lawn mower down the slide...

I think everyone has fucked off because nothing is going on here.

I have even organised my wardrobe today because I was bored of here! shock

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:21:09

Thanks coco I realised after I posted that I hadn't seen ll for years blush

TheRealFellatio Thu 04-Jul-13 15:22:22

I feel the same Hulls. I worry in the dead of night that there are people on here that I used to have a real laugh with and they know who I am, but I don't know who they are and they don't feel inclined to tell me. sad

I don't mind people NCing but it should be the law that I am informed immediately.

FunnysInLaJardin Thu 04-Jul-13 15:23:53

I predict this thread will turn into a MN royal tea bash up.

I'm a bit crap with remembering who's who, but I have seen LaQ, usual, fenton, Salmo and various other random folk about recently

FunnysInLaJardin Thu 04-Jul-13 15:24:14

and there's Fell^^

DrDumbass Thu 04-Jul-13 15:25:04

tiredmummy I didnt buy the pole, I was the seller......Id totally forgotten about the Yoni massage......I spose it wont hurt to tell now, as my entire history in MN has gone, but I posted for advice about a row I had had with DH and he went snooping stumbled on it and it caused a lot of problems.
I now have a totally new username and ID and have learned to keep some shit to myself. I just miss my old name. It has completely gone forever. Had to get MNHQ to delete me.....

K8Middleton Thu 04-Jul-13 15:25:11

I name changed. It is fiendishly difficult to work out who I was.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes Thu 04-Jul-13 15:25:40

oooooooooooonly meeeeeeeeee... not that any one knows me anyway, but I am here smile

i'm here - namechanged (but my hoverer says it's me)

i will go back to normal at some point (when i remember)

usualsuspect Thu 04-Jul-13 15:25:49

I'm here.

There's not a lot going on though.

I was having the same argument on 2 threads last night.

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 15:26:38

You called?...

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 15:27:03

quite fell

it's just not cricket

or tennis

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:27:19

SP only boring people get...well you know the rest...

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 15:27:36

I've had the same mad argument on 2 threads today

people are quite er mad

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 15:27:49

You're always arguing usual...

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:27:57

Sorry to hear that DrD, I've heard of that happening once before, tis a shit sad

usualsuspect Thu 04-Jul-13 15:29:37

At least I don't smell like a jaffa cake,Salmo.

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:29:59

Going to school now, see you all later smile

<tears clothes off & runs through thread mooning at you all>

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 15:30:33

Today I smell of... custard creams.

So there.

No need for that Tee grin

doingthesplitz Thu 04-Jul-13 15:32:14

I namechange fairly frequently. Can't be arsed with some of the mad posters who galump around threads gunning for anyone they've had a disagreement with on a previous thread.

PostBellumBugsy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:32:47

more arctic roll Hully? wink Once I realised it was IPOAT, I had to run away - I'm far too thick & slow on the uptake for those.

Been here forever & never know anyone - you're all far too clever with the name changes.

DeepRedBetty Thu 04-Jul-13 15:32:48

I'm here. Haven't nced for MONTHS now. (a possible record for me) Probably because I haven't got so sloshed while still in nominal control of a keyboard that I've needed to do it the next morning out of sheer embarrassment.

I cant even find a thread to have an argument on.

cocolepew Thu 04-Jul-13 15:34:44

Time passes slowly on MN onetiredmummy grin

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:35:33

Sorry, got distracted by a ringing phone, SP. I forgot my grin.

If you're bored, start a thread! grin

Mintyy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:36:06

I'm not posting much atm.

<for I know its me you are missing really Hully dear>

But, I agree, seems all me mates are awol.

PostBellumBugsy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:38:14

Except Marina! Well, not that you're not clever - but I still recognise you! grin

Badvoc Thu 04-Jul-13 15:38:36

I'm here.

I have two! One about strange thing you can do with your arms to male them longer and one about wet cats.

I have nothing interesting to start a thread about

FunnysInLaJardin Thu 04-Jul-13 15:43:26

I've had a couple of near miss arguments over the last few days but then I turn all sensible and behave like the grownup. It makes me feel smugly satisfied

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 15:43:31

Male your arms longer? Not sure my feminist side can get behind that...

Weegiemum Thu 04-Jul-13 15:46:30

I've been here at least as long as you, Hully. Have had 3 main incarnations. But been this for the last 7 years now!

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 15:46:50

hello mintyy dear

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 15:47:22

did I know you in your other incarnations too weegie?

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 15:49:40

I wanted to have a stand up row on the cycling-buddy-husband thread but I didn't.

I was restrained.

I'm still here. I'm like herpes. I never go away.

DiaryOfAWimpyMum Thu 04-Jul-13 15:52:44

It's all a bit meh just now.

Maybe the tolls are all on holiday

MarinaIvy Thu 04-Jul-13 15:56:39

grin right back at PostBellum

allmycats Thu 04-Jul-13 16:02:26

I have been here a short time under this name but was 5 years or so under my other name, until my cow of a SIL found my log in/password
and posted a bitch of a comment using my details - I was so ashamed to be associated with it I had to name change.
She admitted that she had asked her computer whizz son to hack into my account - he is also no longer allowed to use my computer .

Maybe everyone else is at a secret meet up and we all were NFI?

KatieScarlett grin Maybe there's been another moldies...

<walks off whistling>

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:07:09

goodness allmycats, that's a bit extreme - why did she do that??

Lets start a rumour grin

TrinityRhino Thu 04-Jul-13 16:08:13

<runs onto thread>

I'm here, I haven't gone anywhere

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 16:08:47

Oooh, I love starting rumours!

DiaryOfAWimpyMum Thu 04-Jul-13 16:09:46

Gawd allmycats this is why I tell noone about here.

My xh did almost the same. I was mortified the freak

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 16:09:51

How are you Trinity?

TrinityRhino Thu 04-Jul-13 16:10:14

I heard that hully was living in trinitys garage wink

she has parties that only people with an H in their name are invited

they are called 'The H babes'

TrinityRhino Thu 04-Jul-13 16:11:10

hey Tee, I'm doing ok, looking forward to tomorrow when I can shout about having been sober for a year grin

holding up ok
kids started they school holidays yesterday
I'm now ready for them to go back grin

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 16:13:32

Glad to hear it. My son has been off for nearly a week. Surely the hols must be nearly over? grin

Those H Babe bitches think they are all that, but I heard one of them shagged Gideon.

Up the tradesmans, with a marrow.

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:16:30

Pagwatch Thu 04-Jul-13 16:16:45

Hello Hully. I keep seeing you but from afar <shades eyes and looks far away...> I am here.
I am all lacklustre lately.i might name change so people remember when it used to be all 'I agree with Pag' and not 'that pag is yawny yawn'

Those were my heydays. It's all gone. <swigs gin>

TrinityRhino Thu 04-Jul-13 16:17:04

'up the tradesmans with a marrow' <snorts fanta and nearly chokes>

You know me Hully, I posted you a DVD.

And I still haven't caught up with series 2 yet. Bloody children and babies, eating into my quality TV-watching time.

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:20:15

hey paggy and yippee.

I won't remember you yippee, go back to wot you were, I knew you then.

Series 2 goes into madness beyond madness

Pagwatch Thu 04-Jul-13 16:22:22

Hey <waves>

Your moany whiney threads always attract the best people.

Have you been making more of your artistic DVDs Huls

olidusUrsus Thu 04-Jul-13 16:25:52

I am a no one. But what I are is online. Always.

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 16:27:56

You are too modest olidus - what with you being a Chief of the Sioux Tribe and all wink

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:29:29

moaney and whiney?

I thought more rueful and wistful, with a hint of gloaming

usualsuspect Thu 04-Jul-13 16:31:45

I haven't seen Tufty for ages.

I miss Tufty.[sad face]

Pagwatch Thu 04-Jul-13 16:31:47

Ok. That. But with a bit of angst and rubbing alcohol.

twistyfeet Thu 04-Jul-13 16:32:05

some bugger moved IPOAT Hall.

usualsuspect Thu 04-Jul-13 16:33:09

Or has she namechanged and everyone knows who she is except for me?

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 16:33:32

I have seen Tufty around occasionally usual - maybe she's got one of them there^real lives^ shock

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:33:54

she did nc, usual, but I can't remember what to and I don't think she's been around. She has been sad.

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 16:33:58

real lives even.

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:34:38

The Hall is there, it contains the Royal Melting Head at present.

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 16:34:54

She's been sad?

Oh, that's not good.

usualsuspect Thu 04-Jul-13 16:37:13

I'm sorry Tufty has need sad.

Hope she's ok.

usualsuspect Thu 04-Jul-13 16:37:46

Been not need.

bastard kindle.

Gloaming is such a perfect word.

I love my name far too much and am far too lazy to ever namechange. But it's only by chance that I know the lovely Hully, I'm a bit anonymous really.

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 16:39:24

Same here. Always lovely is Tufty.

I remember when I first "met" her - it was a Sharon type thread about spilt coffee, seagulls and bikers!

Weegiemum Thu 04-Jul-13 16:39:50

You might well have Hully. Or maybe I'm just a 10-year professional lurker. I was harrisey a long time ago.

<waves to Pag>

limitedperiodonly Thu 04-Jul-13 16:40:01

I missed Stratters the other day. A baby crow landed in my garden and was too tired to get out. It's surrounded by tall houses on all sides and it's difficult to get out of for a novice flyer - I've had crash-landed baby pigeons, one of whom was eviscerated by a cat.

It was squawking like crazy and kept trying to fly and hitting the wall and falling. It was heartbreaking. But its parents wouldn't leave it and they eventually calmed it down so it got strong enough to fly off smile.

I thought of Mortimer.

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 16:40:33

You could swap that kindle for a typewriter you know usual...

I'm here but I don't think anyone knows me much. I'm getting very addicted though. It's just so much more fun than hoovering.

Still not brave enough to post on IPOAT hall.

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:43:39

I sent tufty a message I did about her being missed an all. Maybe she'll come out to play.

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:44:39

We won't eat you farewell, we might put you in a corset and make you tatt, but we wouldn't eat you.

Unless we were starving

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 16:47:06

I am about to be gone for about 3 weeks. Well, I'll be here, but I'll be posting in the middle of the night UK time as I'll be in San Francisco.

I wonder if anyone will miss me?

::Big pathetic needy eyes::

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:48:31

Ooo have a good time, are you going to go all Armistead Maupinish?

Shodan Thu 04-Jul-13 16:50:19

I'm still here Hully.

Whether or not that's a good thing is anybody's guess. Or indeed if that same anybody knows who I was in the first place.

I nearly name-changed, but then didn't, after several seconds' agonised dithering.

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 16:51:28

Yes, Hully, because it's still 1975 in America. grin

I did tatting once. But it was a long time ago. I've probably forgotten how. Is it like riding a bike (but without the pedals)?

I like Huge Jackman too. Yummy.

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 16:53:41

Hey shodan <waves>

Yes it is 1975. Pack a tank top.

Do not speak of The Hugh

thegreylady Thu 04-Jul-13 16:57:11

Hully dear I know I am a spectral person of little consequence but I am here and I always look for your posts.

FunnysInLaJardin Thu 04-Jul-13 16:57:42

I don't understand the IPOAT thing at all. What issit? A quiche?

Tee I am very envy of your glam and jetsetting life. I am going to France.....Mind I did go to Derbyshire at easter, so............

Has poor Hugh done something wrong? Or is he just too revered to discuss in normal conversation Hully?

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 16:59:41

Glam and jetsetting? I haven't been anywhere except Dublin (I live in Belfast, Dublin is not glamorous) or London (for business and a MN piss up ) for 3 years.

And really, I'm just going home for a bit.

Sorry, I mean 'he who shall not be named' confused

Shodan Thu 04-Jul-13 17:02:12

I feel all enervated today Hully so can't wave back.

TuftyFinch Thu 04-Jul-13 17:08:07

Hully, Usual and Salmotrutta, I'm here... sort of. Thank you for missing me, well, remembering me. Well, you know...
Hully's right, I have been sad. I'm fine but things are a bit sad in Tuftyland.
I havn't namechanged though... is there another Tufty. <sadfacebutgettingabitlesssadface>

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 17:09:23

Oh hello lovely Tufty!!

<sneaky hugs>

Hope you are alright?

It certainly isn't as much as it used to be.

Or maybe I just got tired.

Sorry to hear you are sad Tufty.

Whoops. Missed the word FUN out of that post.

Now what does that tell you eh?

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 17:10:24

I have to log off for a bit but back later.

So nice to "see" you Tufty. smile

Salmotrutta Thu 04-Jul-13 17:11:35

Oh and I'm off on hols this weekend so won't be around for a couple of weeks.

Don't bloody leave TSC. Honestly just don't.

smellsofsick Thu 04-Jul-13 17:50:49

I'm here. Anything there Hully? Just a twinkling of recognition will be fine.

magimedi Thu 04-Jul-13 17:51:46

I haven't been on MN long but I do recognise a lot of the names above & even I had wondered where some of them had gone.

And where is Maryz ???

RaisingChaotic Thu 04-Jul-13 17:51:54

I'm here not that anyone ever recognises me.

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 17:54:39

I am afraid you will have to change your name, smells, it is beyond the pale <gavel> it makes me all queasy.

Where is Maryz indeed?

I know magi <waves>

BOF Thu 04-Jul-13 18:04:09

I am still here, just. But the Internet is making me tired and cross a lot these days. And I like reading books and keeping busy going back to bed more these days.

Sorry for your troubles, Tufty.

Hullygully Thu 04-Jul-13 18:05:50

hello boffy mein darlink

the internet grows plump with stupid

tis sad

I am never here, nobody knows me.

It's just pages of dull ATM with the odd nugget of white poo to break up the monotony. I live in hope though.

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:09:07

Maryz was on The Apprentice thread last night so she's around.

The vaganus / bumgina thread with the religious sex toys was pretty good.

Mintyy Thu 04-Jul-13 18:09:41

Its really not fun dude, quite right.

(but don't gooooooooo, oh no, pleeeeeeeeese don't)

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:18:30

End of term blahs?

Once school gets out in England it will pick up.

everlong Thu 04-Jul-13 18:23:25

There's a definite fatigue/malaise about the place.

It's the same old thing day after day.

I'm away for 3 weeks soon I may well go cold turkey.

I've NC due to over sharing. I'm a git for it in RL too. I was around mostly in the acid, rivers of sweetcorn, moldies days. Tailed off. Got an android phone. Hit the relationships board a little too hard. NC'd.

I almost want the professional ladies of the night to return just so something happens on Aibu. I know this is wrong but this is what boredom maketh.

I am languishing in 5th place on Boardreader so I must be struggling to post too.

TheRealFellatio Thu 04-Jul-13 18:28:17

maybe she's got one of them there^real lives

I'm going to get me one of those. Just you wait and see.

I might even get me a job. For money.

Then where will you all be, eh? Hmm? hmm When it's got so boring here that even I been forced to take up some form gainful employment then you will know that it's all gone to hell in a handcart.

I have started cycling. grin And nearly enjoying it.

everlong Thu 04-Jul-13 18:31:20

Not with a school mums DH I hope sparky?

Joking wink

No everlong I did start a thread asking for cycling help (re v sore backside amongst other things) then when I saw the thread about the school run Mum I was worried people would think it was me.

TheRealFellatio Thu 04-Jul-13 18:34:06

Arf, Sparkling that sounds like me and my two sessions of yoga. I nearly enjoyed it but not enough to do a third. grin

grin Fellatio. I am on Day 3. Everything hurts and I am considering a Stannah Stair Lift.

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:35:54

I never post but always read

I am soooooo bored with MN

Please - someone start a 'could be in classics' thread

Otherwise my hobbies will be reduced to only knitting sad

Fenton Thu 04-Jul-13 18:37:28

I am here, you can stop worrying.

I was thinking it's been a bit quiet around here, peaceful but quiet.

Then old Hulls turns up and starts SHOUTING.

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:38:32

in fact, i'm so bored I'm going to have to have a spliff shock

onetiredmummy Thu 04-Jul-13 18:38:41

I haven't seen SoleSource for a while...

TheRealFellatio Thu 04-Jul-13 18:38:58

Anyone got any good bird stories? I have two cracking bird stories that might have the makings of a classic thread. providing other people join in with much better bird stories than mine.

TheRealFellatio Thu 04-Jul-13 18:40:23

After all there was a thread about weasels the other day that made Classics and it was a bit meh to be honest, so clearly we don't have to aim too high these days.

I have no bird stories but I will listen to yours Real I need something to do grin

Fenton Thu 04-Jul-13 18:43:38

I'm currently machine dyeing some towels black for the dog, - that could have some hilarious consequences, should be a laugh..

or not.

RustyBear Thu 04-Jul-13 18:45:09

"But all the good references to Terry Pratchett are gone, my one attempts at a good, obscure Wodehouse reference got lost in the ether. Am bereft of inspiration."

Marina - that's always the way: It is a sad but indisputable fact that in this imperfect world Genius is too often condemned to walk alone - if the earthier members of the community see it coming and have time to duck...

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:48:12

that's better grin

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:50:41

now i can read threads about bullying/washing machine cleaning/bad neighbours/ nannies/anything in relationships with a weird and detached interest

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:51:56

Fenton does the dog really need black towels? Some kind of dog fashion statement??? grin

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:53:44

Birds as in, you know, birds or birds as in girls?

MarmaladeTwatkins Thu 04-Jul-13 18:53:51

AWitchOfDirtyHabits Thu 04-Jul-13 18:54:09

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 18:57:58

<v v sad life and home alone>

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 19:00:16

<gives up>

MarmaladeTwatkins Thu 04-Jul-13 19:02:02

Bin up Cornwall ay I?

I don't actually LIVE in Greggs you know, Sparkling?! grin <will investigate tomorrow>

TheRealFellatio Thu 04-Jul-13 19:05:07

OK, might start a bird thread in a bit, but first you need to hear my latest Revie on Trip Advisor discovery. Here. Enjoy:

The toilet was one of those where you use a spout at the back of the toilet bowl to water yourself after defecating and use the toilet-paper only for drying your buttocks. I had heard of these toilets, much superior conceptually than the normal Western mode, but you have to be very supple to implement the idea; the spurted water doesn't fully do what it is tasked to. Reception staff are particularly helpful.

Fenton Thu 04-Jul-13 19:05:14

Silver66 He demands black darhling, black is the new rolled in fox poo, dontchaknow.

Actually it's for his beds, I find towels are the only thing that his fur won't cling to and matt and ruin forever. Plus, he's black so it's good sense.

See I told you this towel dyeing fiasco would be a barrell of laughs.

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 19:05:33

brilliant - radio 2 news - every british boy born on the same day as the royal baby are going to get a special gift/something/whatever.

so fuck the girls being born then.............

how naice

SPs thinks I live in Poundland Marmalade so you can live in Greggs. grin

That's 2 holidays you have had at least this year. envy

Sparkling You are the person keeping poundland open grin

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 19:09:17

fenton I thank you for that grin

so can you tell me why, last night, I had another recurring dream about my teeth falling out......continuously (ie endless spitting out of of an endless supply of teeth)

<wait for dream thread to take off and end up in classics>

I haven't been to Poundland for two weeks SPs. shock

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 19:14:04

and just to be pedantic fenton - why can't the dog use any colour towel?

<feels deeply ashamed to NEED some attention>

Pagwatch Thu 04-Jul-13 19:19:01

If people go off and have real lives whatthe cocking hell am I going to do?
I will have to wander around exuding ennui. It's exhausting.
I am trying Facebook but I am rubbish at it and I have really annoying smily members who I can't delete.
One, I shit you not, posted a picture of a love heart sweet. Fuck off.

Fenton Thu 04-Jul-13 19:19:58

Because he's black.

So any other colour towel than black might show up his black moltiness and I will have to pick up and shake his bed outside fifteen times a day instead of once a day.

EuphemiaLennox Thu 04-Jul-13 19:20:50

I've been here 9 years but have name changed lots.

It's been an interesting longitudinal study in the establishment, maintainance and decline of in-groups on forums and not just me arsing about.

I think we must be on at least the third or forth new guard or stalwarts, as those in decline are starting new threads about where has everyone gone and how it's not like it used to be.

Yes Hully you're like a roman emperor in the ruins of the colleseum.

I do wonder if the new guard are the old old guard with new names, but I really can't tell.

Hully who were you?? You were someone weren't you???

Oh I did see Dumbledoresgirl the other day which was a nice blast from the past, but I didn't say hello as she was seeking genuine advice and not random hellos from people she didn't know. I should of though, everyone likes to be acknowledged...

Sparkling I know, my local pound shop has your picture up in the window asking for any information of your whereabouts. I told them you are cheating on them with Home Bargins.

Think I may have started a war

Fenton Thu 04-Jul-13 19:21:55

Oh God Pags, then you're going to hate this..

Please don't kill me

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 19:24:09

Silver66 Thu 04-Jul-13 19:50:57

Tee2072 Thu 04-Jul-13 19:53:18

Must tell us something.

Toilet dreams We are all frustrated and blocked....

I need a good purge.

TheRealFellatio Thu 04-Jul-13 20:06:44

Me too usual. I am in public, in a hurry to get somewhere important, for some bizarre reason I am suddenly naked, humiliated, and I can't run to safety - my legs won't work, it's like I'm wading through treacle.

And weirdly, no-one seems to notice. confused

So I guess I'm no longer frustrated or blocked...

That actually makes sense. I'm the most content I've ever been these days.

usualsuspect Thu 04-Jul-13 20:09:18

I can never get to where I'm going either. I just keep walking and walking or missing buses and trains.

AtYourCervix Fri 05-Jul-13 10:14:26

I'm here (24hours later)

I namechange 3 times a day but am so transparently me I get spotted instantly. Don't know why I bother.

I don't know some of the people on the top 10. Clearly not spending enough time on here.

TuftyFinch Fri 05-Jul-13 11:13:46

There are little shafts warming my cockles Hilly

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 12:14:36

<fans the little shafts and gets trapped in own metaphor thingy>

I don't like cockles. I find them a bit gritty.

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 12:27:51

But not titsty's cockles. They are sweetly pretty and slightly warm,.

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 12:28:01

tifty ffs

lol, lol and thrice lol.

PrincessFiorimonde Fri 05-Jul-13 13:10:45

Hello Hully, hello Tufty, hello one and all.

I often find it takes me so long to post that the convo has moved on in leaps and bounds before my drivel arrives on the screen.

Probably like now....

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 13:22:21

<ignores fliffy>

greenhill Fri 05-Jul-13 13:40:33

I am always here <goes back to lurking, or a book thread> and ignores DS eating yoghurt with his fists.

Nagoo Fri 05-Jul-13 13:46:40

I haven't read past the first page but I am troubled that there is deemed to be something wrong with smelling like a Jaffa Cake.

I smell exactly of a Aldi Jaffa Fake Cake. Problem? <hard stare>

Why do people still have pages?

greenhill Fri 05-Jul-13 14:00:22

exit you have to be careful about suggesting optimal ways of using MN to people: yesterday I was lumped in with a few others as one of 'MN's self appointed filing clerks' for suggesting ways to get a complaint dealt with, rather than merely whinging about it in AIBU. grin

Thanks for the heads up. I bloody hate filing <looks at desk sky high with paper>.

I used to have pages until I realised I was replying to just the first page and missing 14 pages of stuff and sounding like a twat.

Now I have no pages. Which is a shame as i now have no excuse for sounding like a twat

Nagoo Fri 05-Jul-13 14:22:30

Exit I have 100 posts to a page. I spend a lot of time nobbing and I CBA to wait for it all to load on the craptop when it's a long thread.

I don't know why I felt the need to justify myself [touchy]

I can't read from bottom to top, that's wrong.

Not pressing F5 is a good excuse for sounding like a twat Tantrums.

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 14:30:02

you spend a lot of time nobbing?

Is this wise?

Nagoo Fri 05-Jul-13 14:35:37

It's an excellent use of my time. Most satisfying.

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 14:37:45

Does it pay well?

That's the main thing

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 14:42:06

Absy has been gone for yonks.

I saw Absy not long ago. Cant remember where. Although I did wait for her to turn up on the fanny fart thread but she let me down.

Is there a job spec for nobbing? I might be good at that.

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 14:53:07

What do you think she meant?

Surely she doesn't really nob for her job??

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 14:54:42

I haven't seen seeker in a while either

I have no idea. I am a professional wafter. Nobbing sounds too harsh pour moi.

I think seeker has been locked in the school broom cupboard.

I was feeling, I dunno, a certain lack of belonging on this thread. And then, Elquota links arms with me! I did scroll up but I couldn't work out why. But it doesn't matter

I am <sob> linked!

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 15:23:16

Everyone is welcome Buffy <pats and soothes>

I did wonder about the linking meself, but I thought it sounded quite lovely and that was the main thing.

I always feel left out Buffy but just carry on regardless. Ooh that's a song isn't it?

Mintyy Fri 05-Jul-13 15:23:59

Where are CrackFox, Fargy, SuePurbly, OriginalSteamingNit, OatyBeatie, Hothead ???

Loves them all I do.

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 15:25:59

You are a LIAR exit

"Fargy" <sniff> is brewing up trouble in the Hall, Sue is on fb, dunno about oaty and Len, have seen Nit about

FeegleFion Fri 05-Jul-13 15:26:52

I am an Unknown and happy to be so grin

I did notice SP was right in there at the beginning, as a known wink

FunnysInLaJardin Fri 05-Jul-13 15:30:40

I saw Absy the other day. I think she is avoiding you Hully

Hullygully Fri 05-Jul-13 15:31:27

I would pat you back Hully but my arms are linked... see?

There's always Something to Sing About, isn't there Exit

There's also always room for an obscure Buffy reference grin

<fans pant flames>

Perhaps you should consider changing your pursuant to..... Bunnies

Drunkendiva1 Fri 05-Jul-13 15:47:58

I had to NC as suspected a spot of snooping was occuring hmm Pissed me right off as I loved my old name...

Now I have read the thread I see that I am linked because I might be Royalty in Disguise. You may address me as m'am.

My stress dreams always involve needing to take A'levels but not having done any work. My dog is also black. I am envy of people's lovely sounding holiday plans but relieved that they have considered fully their pants needs.

Linky no worky

OrmirianResurgam Fri 05-Jul-13 16:07:51

Yes. Namechangers. All of us.

Yay 🐇✔

It's ok, it's ok, we all get a bit over excited and 🐇✔ a bit sometimes. Don't worry!
