Just curious to see what others weigh who are the same height as me, and are you happy with your weight?

I'm trying to lose a few pounds so just thinking about all this.

Apologies if I'm being too nosy!

weasle Sat 25-May-13 23:05:09

I'm 5 foot 4 and a half. (164cm) Fluctuate around 60kg. Target is 58, but need to get back down to that for the summer!

NoWayNoHow Sat 25-May-13 23:05:24

I'm 5'4", 35yo on Monday and weight 10st1.5.

I'm at the top end of a healthy BMi, so would like to like a to lose a few pounds, but my natural weight over the last couple of years has sat easily between 9st12lb and 10st2lb and I don't think I can go far below that without compromising quite a lot.

I eat really healthily during the week, and relax at the weekend. Trying the 5:2 intermittent fast at the moment to if that helps to shift a few more pounds, but if it doesn't work it won't be the end of the world. Life's too short not to enjoy lovely food and drink (in vague moderation!)

I'm 8 and a half stone. I was quite happy at this weight before having my dd but I'm now a different shape and would like to go down to 8 stone.

HibiscusIsland Sat 25-May-13 23:05:35

12 stone (More than you if you are only wanting to lose a few pounds smile .) Need to lose a couple of stone so am doing the Fast Diet.

weasle Sat 25-May-13 23:05:52

I'm 5 foot 4 and a half. (164cm) Fluctuate around 60kg. Happiest with 58, but need some hard work to get back down to that for the summer!

cerealqueen Sat 25-May-13 23:06:00

9.5st at my best weight at my current age. I am currently 10st and my clothes don't feel great and as I love my clothes and can't afford to buy new, need to lose half a stone. The clothes thing always does it for me, but I know lots of people who have lots of different sets of clothes for different weights!

weasle Sat 25-May-13 23:06:19

Oops, sorry double post.

PoppyWearer Sat 25-May-13 23:07:18

I am 5ft 3 and weigh 9st 10lbs, currently trying to get back to around 9st 3lbs, which is the weight where I can fit everything nicely but don't look too gaunt in the face. If I go below 9st my face looks awful!

peppersaunt Sat 25-May-13 23:08:41

Am also 9.5 stone and would like to 9. Was 10 about 6 months ago and NOT happy.

23balloons Sat 25-May-13 23:09:20

Around 8-8.5 stone.

lucertola28 Sat 25-May-13 23:09:21

5'3" and 7.2-7.4st but I am underweight because of a thyroid condition (was less than this but managed to get it up to this), before that my normal weight would usually have be between 7.7-7.10st

poorpaws Sat 25-May-13 23:12:29

Im 5ft 4ins and weigh 10sts and I'm old. Was always 8st to 8s. 7lbs when I was young. Would love to lose half a stone and have been trying to do so for months but am failing.

Iwillorderthefood Sat 25-May-13 23:13:06

9st 9lbs, just lost weight, I was heavier when I was younger, but was very fit so had a lot of muscle mass. After two children and no time to exercise in the same way, went to about 10 and a half stone, but recently gone down to my lightest for a long time. I walk six miles a day, but no rock climbing like pre kids. I miss how my body was then, no wobbly bits.

pinktransit Sat 25-May-13 23:14:16

Crikey, you're all tiny!
I'm around 5'3" or 5'4", and according to my scales (first thing in the morning, after a pee and before a cup of tea) am around 10 st 3.
According to slimming world scales on a Monday night at 7.30 pm I'm around 10 st 7 lb.

My aim is 9st 7.

HibiscusIsland Sat 25-May-13 23:14:19

I can't be the only overweight person on Mnet who is 5 ' 4.

Snowflakepie Sat 25-May-13 23:14:59

Normally 9st 2lbs, I have gone below 9st but it was hard to maintain. I feel heavy at 9st 8lbs and if I get there, find clothes don't fit anymore.

At the moment I am 10st 13lbs but at 37 weeks pg that seems fair, although I seriously cannot wait for this critter to be out and I can get back to myself again!

MrsRickyMartin Sat 25-May-13 23:16:16

About 5'3'' and weight 58 kg, which is the same as it was before having DS. Body shape not the same, I am bf so I have big boobs and how can I put this... I could be in the video of 'baby got back' grin.

Just kidding, but I went up a size wearing trousers/skirts, so I am 10 or 12 depending on the brand. Top size 12 now because of breasts mainly, I still fit into some size 8 dresses.

I am happy with the way I look, but I have to confess I watched carefully what I ate when pregnant and only put on 10 kg.

SgtTJCalhoun Sat 25-May-13 23:16:35

5ft 5, 9 stone. Happiest at 8 stone 10 but not obsessed with getting to it. I'm a size 10 and happy with that.

Musicaltheatremum Sat 25-May-13 23:17:01

I'm obese at the moment at 14st 13. Was16.9 but its coming off. I'm only 49 but lost my husband last year so ate my way up out of comfort.
I would like to be 10 stone as I was 7 years ago but would be happy with 11

monicalewinski Sat 25-May-13 23:17:47

5' 2" so a bit smaller than you, but 11 and half stone. I am quite muscular though as I have a physical job and train a lot so although heavier than most I am not wobbly!

Weight shouldn't be the driving force anyway, it is purely down to how you look and feel and what is not a constant job to maintain.

newbiefrugalgal Sat 25-May-13 23:18:47

69kg here.
Ten heavier than I should be! Grrrrrr

DewDr0p Sat 25-May-13 23:19:49

I'm 5'5". Normally about 9st3 but realised recently that my weight has crept up to 9st10 - I'd feel better without that extra half a stone tbh.

When I was younger I was much much lighter but now I would look too thin much below 9st I think. (I temp went down to that through illness a couple of years ago and had great cheekbones for once but think I was too thin)

singmelullabies Sat 25-May-13 23:20:30

I can't be the only overweight person on Mnet who is 5 ' 4

You're not, Hibiscus. Haven't weighed myself for months, but would be amazed if I was under 12st. Oh well, bring on the wine grin

drinkyourmilk Sat 25-May-13 23:22:17

I'm 5.4 and about 14 stone.
Just coming out of depression, so refusing to worry about it.

ColinCaterpillar Sat 25-May-13 23:22:24

8 stone but can happily go to 8 1/2. I'm a size 8, apart from jeans where I'm a bit in between an 8 and a 10

9 doesn't suit my face.

ByTheWishingWell Sat 25-May-13 23:23:00

I'm 5'4". 28 weeks pregnant now, so not sure at the moment, but pre-pregnancy stayed around 9 stone.
I sometimes wistfully remember the days of being under 8 stone, but love my food too much and never really exercise. I'm happy enough with being 9 stone to not bother doing anything about it, and I think 8 stone was probably too skinny for me anyway, because I'm quite curvy (big boobs and bum).

apatchylass Sat 25-May-13 23:24:12

Hi - I'm 5'4" and just under 70kg (11 stone) Way overweight and need to do something about it. No inclination to diet at all but have recently discovered the joys of exercise. Would love to be 9st4-7lbs which was my weight for all adult life, even after DC, until I needed some meds with a side effect of weight gain.

BeepBeepBeep Sat 25-May-13 23:24:16

Way before my DD came along, I was 7.5 stone. I was so happy back then, although I did get the odd person asking 'Do you eat?!' hmm

Now, I'm more like 8.5-9 stone and I hate it. I sit down and have 'rolls' in my tummy, it's horrible and uncomfortable and really depresses me!

monicalewinski Sat 25-May-13 23:30:01

drinkyourmilk there's more to life than weight, hope you're feeling well. I put on 2 stone with anti-depressants last year but it came off again back to my "normal" afterwards.

karinmaria Sat 25-May-13 23:31:05

Am 5'4". Currently 69 kilos two months after having DS. Was previously 58-60 and would like to get close to that again so I don't need to buy a new wardrobe... Ugh a long slog ahead I think!

11 and a half stone, wld live to be at least one stone less, not where to find the absolute motivation to sort it out yet.

stepawayfromthescreen Sat 25-May-13 23:34:16

wtf?
This is what I don't get about Mumsnet.
Amongst other things.
People who weigh 8-9 stone, are 5ft 4, and think they're fat.
You are not.
But perhaps feminism never happened.

stepawayfromthescreen Sat 25-May-13 23:35:50

depends on your age too.
8 stone on a 45 yr old often looks gaunt.

fatlazymummy Sat 25-May-13 23:38:42

I'm 5'4'' and was 10 stone 2 the other day. I'm quite fit due to lots of swimming, but am going to try and lose a little bit more. Not bothered about the number on the scales but still feel a little bit big round my waist.
Quite pleased overall though, as I have lost a lot of weight and am in my 50's. Anyway weight is a health issue to me and I know my health is pretty good.

Clearlymisunderstood Sat 25-May-13 23:42:35

11stone, am currently dieting to get back down to 9.7 which is what I weighed when I got pregnant

LastOrdersAtTheBra Sat 25-May-13 23:44:29

5'4 and a half, 10 stone (give or take), definite hour glass shape with a large bust and small(ish) waist so I'm fairly happy with my shape/size.

ihatefleecesandbootcutjeans Sat 25-May-13 23:44:39

9 st 13 but trying to get down to 9.7, put on a bit recently as been tired and run down and comfort eating. Would love to be 9.0, was 8.7 before dcs!

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform Sat 25-May-13 23:48:50

Aren't weights kind of meaningless without sizes too? I'm 5'4.5" and weigh 9st12. I'm an 8-10. I marvel at the women who are my height and a stone lighter as I don't think I have that to lose!

I get kind of obsessed with the number on the scales and have to remind myself that it's not what I weigh that counts, it's how my clothes fit and how healthy I am - and weight is a byproduct of a healthy lifestyle, not the target of it.

ThatVikRinA22 Sat 25-May-13 23:50:44

5ft 4 here. ideal weight for me is 9st 7.
i have been 8st 7 but am currently 10st 6....not happy at that really but i seem to have buggered my metabolism and my will power appears to have upped and left with the last diet i did.....

i would be happy at 9st 12.

i am about to begin the 123 diet if i can get my head around no carbs for a few weeks....

my weakness isnt so much food as wine.....the low carb thing means i could have a vodka and diet coke - i need some sort of treat!

going to begin running again on monday and my work pal is bringing the 123 diet book in for me tomorrow....
i will miss fruit for a few weeks though....however i live on fruit, cereal and i think i need to shock my body into weight loss now - im stuck and have been for years.

apatchylass Sat 25-May-13 23:51:53

HotelTango that's so true. I was size 8-10 at 9stone 4lb and horribly skeletal when I went down under eight and a half stone. I remember being fitted for a dress and being told mine were the tiniest measurements the dressmaker had ever taken, but I was 8 stone 4 at the time, so must have had pretty heavy bones for that to be the case. It's all about how you feel and how clothes fit, nothing to do with the scales.

TheBuskersDog Sat 25-May-13 23:53:15

Vary between about 8 stone 2 and 8 and a half stone, usually lower end in summer when eating less stodgy food and upper end in winter. I start to look a bit gaunt if my weight goes below 8 stone, for example if I am running a lot.(I'm 45)

itsonlyapapermoon Sun 26-May-13 00:58:38

I'm 5'4 and 65kg. Was 50kg and waaay too skinny before I had kids

cleangreens Sun 26-May-13 01:07:14

5 ft 4" and weigh 7.5 st/47kg. Clothes size 6.

Too skinny but I have been this way for 30 years and love my food (don't each huge amounts but thoroughly enjoy what I eat). I guess I am meant to be this way so don't angst about it too much although would love to put on about half a stone to stop looking quite so unhealthily skinny and to stop some of the crap comments I get - i.e. are you anorexic hmm - would you really consider asking someone out of the blue if they had mental health issues??

Exercise a bit, cycling and dog walking, but nothing too strenuous!

Thisvehicleisreversing Sun 26-May-13 01:16:15

I'm 5' 4" and about 11st 8. Size 12/14.

Really not happy with my weight at the moment but waiting for some will power to turn up grin

I'm happy at about 10st. I lost weight a few years ago and got down to 9st 9 but felt a little bit bony as I have big hips and think I need a bit more padding to feel comfortable.

Can't wait to be 10st again. Come on will power.

MummytoMog Sun 26-May-13 01:27:54

5'3" and 70kg. Not especially content, but if I drop a stone, I'll be happy (big boobs and heavy bones).

Loulybelle Sun 26-May-13 01:34:58

5 foot 3, im so disgusted with my weight, i cant actually bring myself to say it, but im on Slimming world, gonna shed these bastard pounds that my shit of an ex left me with.

Kungfutea Sun 26-May-13 01:36:19

5'5" here and 10 st 10. I'm trying to get below 10 stone as it's a healthier weight for me (we have type 2 diabetes in our family) as well as looking better. It's kind of stayed on since my second pregnancy six years ago and the longer I leave it, the harder it'll be. I need to exercise more. I was doing the couch to 5k but have got plantar fasciitis in my foot so I need to find a lower impact exercise.

Hookedonclassics Sun 26-May-13 01:49:03

5'3" and 60 kg, size 12.

Live in a foreign country where people are generally smaller build and thinner. Body-fat measured recently, and told that with fat % of 32 I am medically obese and need to loose 6 kg.

I thought "bollocks", but I googled it and indeed, 32% is the threshold for being obese.

CatOfTheDay Sun 26-May-13 02:03:08

I'm 5'3" (and a half!) and weigh 8 and a half stone. I'm a size 8 on the bottom and a 10 on the top due to boobage!

I think my ideal weight is 8 stone as I tend to look chubby in the middle, but no lower than that.

lollydollydrop Sun 26-May-13 02:07:59

I think I am between 9.10 and 10 stones but I dont weigh myself as I'm recovered ED. About 8 lbs of that is pure muscle though grin

lollydollydrop Sun 26-May-13 02:11:24

Oh dress size, I wear size 12 tops and I am an annoying size on bottom.. 12-14. My legs a thick muscle coz 'I work ouuuut' wink

Been under 7 stone and over 11 though through ED's. I think I am above my 'natural' weight and would be more comfortable around 9 stone or a loose size 12!

vvviola Sun 26-May-13 02:21:44

I'm 5 foot 4 and 72kg (so, 11 stone 3) down from 81 kg (12 stone 6?) this time last year.

I've gone a little off track recently with study and non-sleeping child, but I'm aiming for about 65kg (60kg would probably be closer to my ideal, but I need to be realistic, due to my inability to pass a biscuit wink)

joanna1990marie Sun 26-May-13 03:15:47

8 and a half stone, and that was just right. Not to thin but athletic looking. Now at 12 stone! But I am coming up to 40 weeks preggo!

joanna1990marie Sun 26-May-13 03:17:29

I was also a dress size 8, sometimes 6 and sometimes 10 depending on the shop.

concernedmate Sun 26-May-13 04:30:43

5ft 4" and weight just under 13 stone, lost half a stone in the last few weeks, not the best at dieting, but trying smile

EggsMichelle Sun 26-May-13 04:55:10

5ft 4, and about 11st. Currently at slimming world to get back pre pregnancy 9.7.

Lawabidingmama Sun 26-May-13 06:30:45

5'4 and 9 st 7 want to lose 10 lb to get back to Pre DC weight

BiscuitMillionaire Sun 26-May-13 06:34:58

5'3" (and a half) and 8 stone 11, 56 kilos

TobyLerone Sun 26-May-13 06:55:34

5'4", 35, 11st 7lbs, size 14.

LaundryLegoLunch Sun 26-May-13 06:56:22

I'm currently 148lbs (so 10 stone 8) but in January I was 182 lbs (13 stone) so I'm happy with the direction I'm going. I cannot believe just how much difference losing this much weight has made to how I look and feel.

I am staggered by the clothes sizes variations on this thread. My lowest adult weight was 9 stone (pre-kids gym bunny) and I was never less than a size 12. Admittedly I'm not short of norkage but still confused.

DorothyMantooth Sun 26-May-13 07:02:29

5'4 and used to weigh 61-63kg before DD (size 10). I always wanted to lose a few lb but never made much of an effort (love food too much!). In hindsight I think I could have been a little more toned but that was my natural weight.

Would love to know what I weigh now, 9 wks after giving birth, but seem to have mislaid the scales ... Sure there is some psychological reason for this!

TeWiSavesTheDay Sun 26-May-13 07:40:15

I'm normally 7st7lb - which is a healthy bmi.

Currently pregnant though, i'll be about 10st7lb by the end if previous pgs are anything to go by!

catuxa Sun 26-May-13 07:52:48

5'3", around 58 kilos, I'm 42 so less than 57k and I personally find that my face doesn't look good. When I was in my 20's I was around 54-55 kilos.
Currently size 10 on top and 10-12 bottom

carabos Sun 26-May-13 07:53:59

5ft 4 size 8, 8 and half stone, age 50 next month. Never weighed 9st other than when pg and would like to lose 5lb to be my perfect weight.

passmetheprozac Sun 26-May-13 07:59:01

I'm 5ft6, weigh 14st and am a size 16. I've lost 2st already. I used to be 9 and a half stone and I looked gaunt, my fighting weight is about ten and a half stone.

lainiekazan Sun 26-May-13 08:07:53

5'3 and a (very important) half and currently weigh 8st 3. I still look a bit podgy though as I have a very small build. A few years ago I went down to 7st and finally my legs were shapely -but I had the face of an aged hag.

5'4" 12st 2lb, size 14 (16 in jeans)
I have never been under 10st but I would like to lose at least a stone.

ohcomethefuckon Sun 26-May-13 08:13:51

70kg 165 and I'm v normal looking at size 12/14.

ExasperatedSigh Sun 26-May-13 08:15:27

5'3" and currently about 10st - my size 12s are feeling a bit tight. Was 9.5st a little while back and want to get back there again, or even down to 9st, as it's a more comfortable weight for me. Went all the way up to 11.5st between DCs and don't want to go there again.

I was 8-8.5st through my teens and early 20s...looked great then but think I would look too bony on that now.

unapologetic Sun 26-May-13 08:19:56

I am 5ft 4 and weigh just over 8 stone. Always been the same since I was 15, give or take a few pounds. I am naturally slim and like the feeling of it.

Mimishimi Sun 26-May-13 08:44:08

I am 143lbs so just over 10 stones. It gives me a BMI of 24.5 which is too heavy for my liking. I look best at around 9 stones or 126lbs. I am coming down from a top of 188lbs after the birth of my second...that was really depressing.

katkit1 Sun 26-May-13 08:47:23

I'm 5.5 and am 12 stone - 6 months post baby.

Normal weight - for me - is 11 stone.

Riddo Sun 26-May-13 08:56:44

5 foot 4 in.
Usually 9 st 4 but 8.10 at the moment as DH recently lost his job and I lose weight with stress.
I'm 47.

I was 23 when 1st DH died and went down to 6 1/2 stone and looked like a skeleton. Most I've ever weighed was 11 1/2 stone at 40+10 with DS.

MrsMagpieCovetsShinyThings Sun 26-May-13 09:03:59

I'm 5'4 and 104kg, which is 6kg less than before I was pregnant, baby is now 9 weeks old.

Pregnancy has been the best diet ever for me as I lost weight without even trying, and so far breastfeeding has kept me the same. I'm a clothes size 16/18.

Now if I could stop devouring those chocolate digestives I'm sure I can loose more. Want to get down to a size 14 as that suits my frame the best. Not sure what weight I'd have to be for that though.

VikkiiKawaii Sun 26-May-13 09:04:19

I'm 5'3 and I'm around nine stone 3 pounds.

mayihaveaboxofchoculaits Sun 26-May-13 09:07:50

5' 4" and 11 stone and 50ish.
Was 9 and a half for years, then kids which sent it up to 11, then naturally back to 10 stone. Menopause has me at 11 now.
Trying the 5:2 diet to get to 10, and a more healthy bmi. Not working in terms of weight loss yet.

Catbiscuit Sun 26-May-13 09:14:05

I'm 5'4" and I weigh about 9 stone. I'm a size 10 and happy with that.
It's my default weight, I don't diet but my body always seems to settle here. I eat a lot though so will see what happens when I stop breast feeding!

SinisterBuggyMonth Sun 26-May-13 09:21:06

I am 9 1/2 but thats only because i've just had the nirovirus. I'd normally be 10 stone.

mrsXsweet Sun 26-May-13 09:24:11

5'4 and 12st. Baby is 5 months old and I am aiming to get back to 9st ish but the weekends keep ruining me!

Theas18 Sun 26-May-13 09:27:07

Umm 5 4 and heavier than most. Trying to go inthe right direction by moving more and eating less. Sod starving myself.

Can't get my head round all the " feel fat/ have rolls round my middle / uncomfortable" etc comments from the sub 10st brigade here- surely if you are a normal BMI you need to accept that actually, it's ok not to be a minute size? What message are your Dds getting from this? Are you the " just a lettuce leaf for me" ladies?

Off to fattys anonymous.

fatlazymummy Sun 26-May-13 09:50:15

theas there's more to being a healthy/desirable weight than just being in the normal BMI range. It isn't healthy to carry too much fat in the midsection, as that indicates there may be too much fat around the internal organs.
Not to mention, 'normal' BMI is quite a large range ie from 18.5 to 24.9. From memory (can't be arsed to google) that's a range of about 2.5 stones at 5'4. Do you really think people don't feel different at say 8 stones to 10 stones?
And no, we don't have just eat lettuce leaves. What a silly thing to say.
The message I give to my daughter is the same as what I give to my sons. Physical health and fitness is the goal, not a number on the scale or a clothes label

WrySmile Sun 26-May-13 09:57:41

Am about 10 stone, I think. Should be half a stone lighter, but am reasonably fit and deny myself zero, food and drink wise!
Cheese and wine and cheese and lovely bread and olive oil and wine...and cheese grin

melliebobs Sun 26-May-13 09:59:42

I'm 78kg
The lightest I've been in a looooong time is 73kg. Which still made me 'overweight' but I get really muscle-ie when I exercise regularly so don't let the weight as a figure drag me down (too much)

sweetkitty Sun 26-May-13 10:07:07

5'4" too and about 8 1/2 stone just now which is the lightest I have been in a while. Was 10 2 prior to DC and that was too big, was 9 3 last year and didn't feel right.

I am small boned so skinny arms and legs all my weight is around my bum and hips which are so out of proportion to the rest if me hmm

lupo Sun 26-May-13 10:10:14

I am 5.4 and bang on 9 stone, its ok but I liked being 8.10- too hard to maintain that though as before I was totally carb free and very strict.
I hate going over 9 - esp at time of the month.

Cavort Sun 26-May-13 10:30:15

I'm just under 5'4" and weighed around 9st10ish pre-pregnancy (currently 35+4 with DC1 and have put on 22lbs so far) and usually wear a size 10.

This is my 'natural' weight as I don't believe in dieting and eat exactly what I like, although I am reasonably active.

I once went down to around 8st4lbs (due to stressful life situation) and I looked awful. My face was gaunt and I was completely flat-chested. I think anything under 9.5 stone is too thin to suit me.

I am interested to see what happens to my weight and body shape post-baby!

LarvalFormOfOddSock Sun 26-May-13 10:42:11

I'm 5 foot 5 (near enough?) and weigh 7 st 8 lb. Not enough, I know, but the most I've ever been is 8 st (excluding pregnancy). I'm struggling with depression and panic disorder though.

Just a note...could the "just eating lettuce leaves" brigade please think before they post such ignorant and insensitive comments? There are many reasons why someone might be slim. Thank you.

Whocansay Sun 26-May-13 10:44:33

I'm 5'4" and 8st10 - 9st. I wear a size 10. I find it fascinating to see the different sizes at the same height/weight!

I'm a classic 'apple' shape, which means any weight I do have goes straight on my belly. Which means I have invested in Spanx!

I'm 5'5 and weigh about 11st. I'm sure each boob weighs about a stone each though grin

cleangreens Sun 26-May-13 10:56:49

Yeah I hate the 'lettuce leaf' brigade too hmm.

I went out for a curry last night and ate as much as the next man. Have had porridge, toast and honey plus a handful of Maltesers grin and two cups of tea for breakfast. I'm 7 st 5lbs and haven't varied (as I said up-thread) for 30 years.

I hate sweeping statements and assumptions. I never sit still and am quite an anxious person which I think does help keep me skinny - although I would like to weigh a bit more as I do look too thin. Have tried over the years to put on weight but it ain't going to happen so I just accept it smile.

landofsoapandglory Sun 26-May-13 11:01:15

5'4" and 8st4, size 8-10. It's where I feel my most comfortable. I have been 7st7 before and realise that is too thin and I was 9stone and that was too heavy. I have a tiny frame, my arms and legs are very skinny.

IsabellaPasta Sun 26-May-13 11:01:44

I'm 5.4. Hover between 10 stone 7 and 10 stone 10. Ideal weight is 10 stone as I look scrawny below that (small framed). I am 40 next month. I eat pretty low fat/ calorie Monday to Thursday and don't deny myself over the weekends. Probably should though in order to lose that 10lbs but I am mostly a size 12 and I think that's not a bad size for someone knocking on 40. Into my 3rd week of C25K in an attempt to address the aforementioned 10lbs but I am looking for fitness rather than dress size.

Mimishimi Sun 26-May-13 11:02:29

I'm an apple too sad. Forgot to mention I'm exactly 5'4". I am happy with my legs and derrière. I am happy with my arms and chest. But I worry about my midsection because they say that's the worst kind of fat to have - internal organ fat rather than fat just below the skin like many pear shaped women have.

GreyTS Sun 26-May-13 11:03:32

5'4 and 56kgs, usual weight is 50-53kgs so got a bit of a shock when I weighed myself recently. I knew that I had been eating too much the last few months but cutting down slowly and should be back to normal in 5/6 weeks.

GreyTS Sun 26-May-13 11:05:46

Oh and am an apple shaped size 10, sometimes 8, only ever put on weight around the middle which looks awful and is so unhealthy. Bum, legs and arms are in good shape

mumofweeboys Sun 26-May-13 11:08:44

Im 5'5 and 13st which is about a 16 for me. My happy weight is 11st but my weight always goes up and down. Im only happy with my body shape if I exercise. Iv never been under 10st even at 10st I felt a bit too thin.

Letticetheslug Sun 26-May-13 11:08:46

5ft 4.5 and 13st 11 ( was 15st). Still need to lose more.

However even at goal weight I was 10st 4 and when I was in my twenties, cycling 16 miles a day and doing a manual job, I was 9st 12 ish and a size12/14.

Look really haggard under 9.5 stone.

peanutMD Sun 26-May-13 11:13:35

15st 7lbs and shrinking.

Fast Sun 26-May-13 11:56:23

12st 11lb but currently dieting and would like to be anywhere between 11 and 10.7.
I wear a 14/16 on bottom and 16/18 on top; large norks and generally large frame.

JennyEnglishTwo Sun 26-May-13 11:58:04

I'm 5'2 and i feel good at 8 stone 12. my tummy is flat when i'm 8' 12. i know from other threads on here that some people feel fat at that weight but I KNOW im not fat at that weight.

mummydarkling Sun 26-May-13 12:10:47

I am 165cm and am 10st 13lb
in my forties so want to lose a few pounds to feel good.

MrsMagpieCovetsShinyThings Sun 26-May-13 12:35:17

Stupid tiredness, I'm 93kg from 110kg per pregnancy at 9 weeks after birth. Sold myself short there! grin

I'm 5'3" and a half and am 8 st 12, this is chubby for my build. 8st4 looks best on me so that's my target at the mo.

ExasperatedSigh Sun 26-May-13 13:46:42

JennyEnglishTwo totally agree that it's about how you feel. I don't diet and deny myself nothing, just cut back on sweets and booze if I feel myself getting a bit too heavy for me.

The massive variation in good looking weights described on this thread should be ample refutation to the idea that we are all starving ourselves in pursuit of an unrealistic ideal.

WorraLiberty Sun 26-May-13 13:50:53

I'm 5'3" and my weight ranges from 8st 3lb to 8st 7lb.

I'm happy with it but if I find myself creeping over 8st 7lb, I reign it in a bit and normally cut out booze for a while.

Startail Sun 26-May-13 14:08:00

Too much, I keep well away from scales. I can't be bothered to worry about it. If I can get into size 16 clothes, that's good enough for me.

forevergreek Sun 26-May-13 14:25:10

5'4 somewhere between 7.5 and 8 stone. I could probably do with gaining a few pounds but I seem to find it hard to gain weight. Heaviest was 9stone 1 when pregnant

forevergreek Sun 26-May-13 14:28:48

Oh and Iv never eaten 'just a lettuce leaf'! Tbh that's a little rude.

I eat healthily generally but eat whatever I fancy. Lots of healthy fats, v little processed food.

I'm about 4'4.5. I've not weighed myself that recently but around 10.7. I do know my measurements cos I recently bought a dress from them, and my waist is about 29 inches, my bust is 36, hips 41. I have a few size 10 clothes, a few 14s and a lot of 12s.

I find my shape changes hugely if I eat more healthily, but my weight doesn't seem to drop very much, so I prefer to go on measurements than weight.

WorraLiberty Sun 26-May-13 14:51:13

The half a lettuce leaf jibe is just pure ignorance and stereotyping

The same as 'fat people stuff their faces'

It's rude and makes the person saying it look like an utter twat.

MrsMelons Sun 26-May-13 15:40:16

I am 5ft 4 and about 9st3, would like to be 8st13/9st. Can go down to about 8st9 and look ok.

I am happier when I am more toned though as can afford to put on a good few pounds without looking that much different. At the moment I am not very toned and hate how I look.

Fakebook Sun 26-May-13 15:56:30

I'm 5ft4" and weighed 63kg in March, then lost 5kg to morning sickness and am now still 58kg. I still hadn't lost all my last pregnancy weight when I got pregnant again this time. My weight usually fluctuates between 55-60kg. I still have a flabby belly though that doesn't shift.

Dancingqueen17 Sun 26-May-13 20:44:58

This thread is so helpful for me I have real issues with body image. I'm 5'3 and weigh 6 stone. I honestly cannot see that I look much different from anyone else. It helps me to know real numbers for real people, kind of proof that my perception must be distorted.

nightingalefloor Sun 26-May-13 20:57:55

5''3ish (maybe a bit less, not sure) and 7 stone 2.

MrsMelons Sun 26-May-13 20:58:33

Dancingqueen17, I was 6 1/2 stone and 5ft4, I was very very thin and could not see I looked any different either. I always felt like everyone's fat friend.

I am so much better now, I still have many issues but think I have a normal(ish) perspective. Please please please get some help, even if you are not ill medically at that weight, mentally things aren't ok. Please don't take offence to that, I have been there!

frissonpink Sun 26-May-13 20:59:44

I'm fat too. 5'4 and 10 stone 9. Bloody babies ;)

My normal pre pregnancy weight is about 9 stone 7 so that's where I need to be.

DD is only 5 months however!

clarinetV2 Sun 26-May-13 21:24:25

I'm 5' 3 and a half, and I've struggled with weight since my teens. I've been eating carefully (after years of yo-yo dieting) since last summer when I was 15 stone and a size 24. I'm now down to 10 stone 2 and a size 14/16 which is the lightest and smallest I've been in my adult life. Ideally I'd like to get down to 9 stone 10 and a definite 14, but to be honest I'm so chuffed to have got this far on a rather idiosyncratic but (I think!) long-term sustainable healthy eating/increased exercise plan that I don't really mind whether I manage to shift the rest. Am intrigued by the size 14s and 12s who weigh more than I do - I'm exercising regularly but I've still got lots of surplus around the middle, and my thunder thighs don't seem to going anywhere anytime soon!

frissonpink Sun 26-May-13 21:34:48

I was just going to say the same though Clarinet!

At 10 stone 9 I'm a size 12.

At 9 stone 10, I'm a size 10!

At my lightest (which was 9 stone) I was a size 8 and looked ill!! No way could my frame get down to the likes of 8 stone.

wonderstuff Sun 26-May-13 21:38:32

I'm about 5'4" and 7st4 I'd like to put on a stone, being able to give blood would be nice. I too have people ask me if I'm anorexic, I'm not, I've never tried to diet, been the same weight all my adult life excluding pg and when breast feeding. Before the kids I quite liked my figure, I'm the same weight but I've dropped two cup sizes and my belly sticks out and wobbles.

blondefriend Sun 26-May-13 21:42:26

I'm 5ft 3.5in. I am 11st 3lb at the moment and have never weighed less than 10 stone and have been up to 13.5 stone (non-pregnant). I have reached "goal" at weight watchers a few times but always go back up. I'm aware that I'm higher then I want to be at the moment and need to lose about 1/2 stone. I would love to lose more but TBH I am happy at being about 10.5 st, I've never been much lower and find that my eating styles become unhealthy as I gain/lose weight. If I go above 11st I start to eat more junk food, if I drop below 10.5st I start to miss meals and worry constantly about calories etc (weirdly converse I know).
I have an hour glass figure with 32G boobs and at 10.5 st my waist is less than 0.85 so generally I'm satisfied with my health and my OH is more than happy at that weight although I know most people would be unhappy at that BMI.

Clarinet - I am wearing size 12 jeans at the moment. Although they are a bit tighter than I would like there is no "overspill" if you know what I mean and they are loose if I reach your weight. I mainly shop at Next and M&S and think their sizes are very generous and body shapes do vary as well.

MrsMelons Sun 26-May-13 21:42:40

Frissonpink - at 9st I am a size 10/12. It is so bizarre how peoples build/body shape varies even at the same height/weight.

ouryve Sun 26-May-13 21:44:44

163cm and 10 stone 5 (No idea what I am in kg - I have a mental block in terms of thinking of the weight of people in kg)

I would like to be half a stone lighter and I'm slowly getting there.

MrsMelons Sun 26-May-13 21:47:34

blondefriend, I guess this is why BMI is only a guide. It really is not correct for some people.

I was 10st 13 after having DS1, I was a 14/16, I find Next clothes on me need to be a size smaller but again this depends on someones body shape, my mum has a bigger waist in proportion to the rest of her so Next clothes fit the same as everywhere else on her.

My measurements are 30" under bust, 29" waist, 34" hips. Boobs - no idea of the actual measurement but am a 32H.

WorraLiberty Sun 26-May-13 21:50:25

I think it depends on how/where you carry your weight and also what style of clothes you were.

For example, you could easily be a size 12 if all you wear are loose dresses or leggings/joggers with elasticated waistbands.

But it doesn't mean you've be able to squeeze into size 12 jeans/trousers and do the button and zip up.

WorraLiberty Sun 26-May-13 21:50:38

*wear

Whoknowswhocares Sun 26-May-13 21:50:49

I agree. I'm 5'4 ( and a half!) and 9 stone 6. That makes me a size 8/10 which seems a small size compared to others for the weight iykwim.
I think the difference is often muscle ratio. I do loads of sport so presumably that has an impact?
<off to search for a delusional emoticon>

shallweshop Sun 26-May-13 21:55:06

I am the same height and weigh 9 stone 12.

willowstar Sun 26-May-13 21:57:18

5 ft 4 here and 11st 2lb. Hate the way I look and feel, much much happier at 10 but haven't been there for ages.

ouryve Sun 26-May-13 21:58:11

I'm 43 with size 14 belly and boobs and size 12 backside. When i lose weight, it all goes off my backside!

I've found that increasing the amount of fat and protein in my diet has reversed the steady weight gain I've experienced lately (been taking a few medications which predispose to weight gain) and it's not just coming off my bum like it has when I've deliberately dieted, in the past. The joys of middle age.

MrsMelons Sun 26-May-13 21:59:31

Whoknows the toning definitely makes a difference, I hate it if any 'fat' spills over so probably go towards a bigger size when I am untoned (is that a word?), when I am toned then I can wear smaller jeans.

I wear tight/skinny jeans so probably cann't get away with smaller sizes (clutching at straws here to make myself feel better)

mooface Sun 26-May-13 22:13:48

I'm 5.4 and a bit and 9 stone - most of it comprises of my arse and upper thighs grin the rest of me is quite small.

Bobyan Sun 26-May-13 22:20:04

I'm 5'4 and 8st 4lbs, but I would argue I'm built on the small side as I have size 4 feet and take a 30 bra back?

I'm also a classic apple shape with a 28 inch waist, so Im probably going to drop dead of a heart attack or develop diabetes any day soon...

jamaisjedors Sun 26-May-13 22:22:28

5ft 4 (164cm) and 55kg at the moment - 8 st 9 says google...

Usually I am 2kg lighter and would like to lose them before the summer because my stomach looks flabby and has cellulite.

I used to be able to trust my appetite and have never dieted in my life, just eaten what I like, but now I'm on anti-histamines permenantly and they make me HUNGRY and I have ridiculous sugar crazes.

I am finding a size 10 tight which annoys me because I do not want to have to buy a whole new set of clothes.

DryCounty79 Sun 26-May-13 23:07:48

Hibiscus, I weigh more than any of the ladies who have posted so far. I've been dieting for nearly 20 years and am bigger than ever!

Bvlgari Sun 26-May-13 23:17:58

About 25 years ago I weighed under 10 stone
I remember I nearly bought a size 10 dress. I was slim, lovely figure. But I thought I was fat.
I was 11st 2 when I first went to university, all downhill from there.
I would kill to be 11st 2 now

I'm five four five foot two/three and weighed 137.5 kilos last time I actually got weighed blush sad
That said, I have medical issues which are in the process of fingers crossed, hopefully being sorted out, and will be able to actually move exercise again soon, so have high hopes of losing some a lot of weight.
I wear a 26/28 in trousers and have almost always just bought a MASSIVE in tops because I have always been busty, I have a 56 inch chest confused but was a 38 at age 11 confused

Beaverfeaver Sun 26-May-13 23:20:44

I am 5 ft 4 and currently 10 stone.

I am 27 years old and a size 12.

Happy with my size. Have been relatively constant for the past few years, but before that I fluctuated between an 8 and size 18.
(Cost me a fortune in clothes).
It's great being able to wear nice clothes year after year

Bvlgari Sun 26-May-13 23:23:21

Dry county -me too
I bet I'm the heaviest

Beaverfeaver Sun 26-May-13 23:24:52

P.s:
I'm not muscular but I regulary play sports and walk , so may be heavier in weight than other people of my height and dress size.

I do, however, still have flabby belly that just won't budge.

I don't care though.
Still happy enough to wear a bikini

PesteredButHappy Sun 26-May-13 23:30:44

5ft 4inches here, always between 9st 7lbs (60kg) and 9st 2lbs (58kg).

Anything about 9st7 and I start to feel the difference and I don't like it, anything below 9st 2lbs and my face seems to look drawn and older, so I stay in that range.

I find it hard work though to stay a healthy weight/BMI though, constant effort to watch what I eat. If I let myself eat to my own desire and appetite I seem to level out at the top end of a size 16 at about 12.5 - 13stone, with an unhealthy BMI and feeling miserable about myself.

inadreamworld Sun 26-May-13 23:35:27

9 and a half stone. Have recently had a baby so wouldn't mind losing a few pounds. I think anything below 10 stone is not overweight. But depends how you look/feel really.

shufflehopstep Sun 26-May-13 23:35:53

Still currently carrying a fair bit of baby weight but pre-pregnancy, I weighed about 8st 5lb. Probably weigh somewhere between 9 and a half and 10 stone at the mo (don't own scales and haven't used gym scales for a while).

LeaveIt Mon 27-May-13 11:39:23

5'2 16 st 5

Somethingtothinkabout Mon 27-May-13 13:46:18

8st 4 and 5ft 4. Would rather be back at 8st, clothes felt better.

Would be too expensive to have to replace my full wardrobe so I'll just need to lose a bit.

blondefriend Mon 27-May-13 13:54:45

Just measured myself in inches. Waist = 30 and hips = 38 (which makes my ratio 0.79 which is better than I thought). It goes to prove that shape makes a huge difference as one woman is 3 stone lighter than me but waist is only 2 inches less. I obviously have a big arse. smile

Samnella Mon 27-May-13 13:57:14

12 stone blush but I have recently lost 8lbs!
