The window that's closest to wherever you are now. I thought of this this evening...there's a street near here where they've a lovely view of this old park and some Georgian houses....all I can see is my deserted cul de sac, a couple of cars and a cat.

Geeklover Thu 11-Apr-13 22:30:55

The window in my bedroom where I am now I can see more houses.
A window at the other side of my house I can see over the top of the whole town and the hills and right out to sea.

BramblyHedge Thu 11-Apr-13 22:31:26

The curtains

JollyPurpleGiant Thu 11-Apr-13 22:31:28

Nothing. It's night...

squeakytoy Thu 11-Apr-13 22:32:09

metal bars..

dadofnone Thu 11-Apr-13 22:32:13

My blinds are shut so not much.

AnyFucker Thu 11-Apr-13 22:32:31

Fuck all, it's pitch black

I can see my face reflected back though, and it's scaring the shit out of me

apostropheuse Thu 11-Apr-13 22:32:40

I can see a park. No road in front of my house as we're on the edge of a park.

WorraLiberty Thu 11-Apr-13 22:32:54

I can see straight into the lounge of my old neighbour and his 30 year old son.

They never ever wear tops (shudders) or close their curtains.

I'd fucking hate their heating bills shock

Salmotrutta Thu 11-Apr-13 22:33:08

The house across the road.

Which belongs to a lovely old gent who isn't too well.

thanks to Lovely Old Gent.

ShootingStarsss Thu 11-Apr-13 22:33:26

Nothing it's dark out there...

Salmotrutta Thu 11-Apr-13 22:33:49

grin@ "metal bars".

Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain.

JennyPiccolo Thu 11-Apr-13 22:35:06

Am also on the edge of a park. Can just see trees and some high rises in the distance.

HarrietSchulenberg Thu 11-Apr-13 22:35:24

Can see the garden, just about. Fortunately my neighbours at the back have stopped showering late at night so I don't have to look at their spotty arses anymore, but they still haven't put any curtains up. Long story (shudder).

LadyBeagleEyes Thu 11-Apr-13 22:38:38

It's pitch dark so not much.
Though from back window mountains and a loch,
Front window mountains and my street.

VerySmallSqueak Thu 11-Apr-13 22:38:39

The light reflecting on the inky black window and the cat on the windowsill asking to come in.

browniebear Thu 11-Apr-13 22:39:59

A main road, some houses and a lit up busy stop with a Burger King poster on it

WorraLiberty Thu 11-Apr-13 22:40:42
browniebear Thu 11-Apr-13 22:40:48

Bus stop not busy

SimplyRedHead Thu 11-Apr-13 22:45:21

Canary Wharf, The Shard and the London skyline.

We're actually in Zone 3 but have an amazingly clear view.

LadyBeagleEyes Thu 11-Apr-13 22:46:38

I wish you hadn't posted that Worra.
You've freaked me out grin

MrsAbernethy Thu 11-Apr-13 22:51:29

It's pitch black here (we're in the middle of the countryside) but if I look out the side window I can see my mum watching telly in her living room (they have a "granny annexe"). I'll not watch her for too long though - it freaks her out wink

Quejica Thu 11-Apr-13 23:01:20

Mountains and palm trees.

Bushies, a motorway, a garage and a little chef.

Surprisingly quiet street.

Ullena Thu 11-Apr-13 23:16:16

Zombie horde...

Itsnotahoover Thu 11-Apr-13 23:24:03

My bedroom window looks out onto a courtyard with shops and a coffee bar so all I can see at the minute is darkness as they are all shut!

sydlexic Thu 11-Apr-13 23:27:35

Cows, trees, yaughts.

The reflection of the living room, its dark out there.

Christmasberry Thu 11-Apr-13 23:33:25

Swimming pool and palm trees! I am on holiday though and sat in my swimming costume

LadyBeagleEyes Thu 11-Apr-13 23:40:36

WorraLorraYonis Thu 11-Apr-13 23:43:35

crazydrunkevilyoni Thu 11-Apr-13 23:46:38

Mitchy1nge Thu 11-Apr-13 23:51:28

At the front - more houses

muddysamazingyoni Fri 12-Apr-13 00:20:01

Not alot, it's too dark. I can hear the sheep in the field. why aren't they asleep

And owls. Oh and DH snoring.

Buzzardbird Fri 12-Apr-13 00:32:03

Lots of people dogging.

RibenaFiend Fri 12-Apr-13 00:42:57

Casual urban fox frolicking about in the very brightly lit carpark of the school I overlook. why the bloody hell are their carpark lights on?

And the school, and beyond that the park.

DP's doing cute snuffling breathing. He sounds like a giant hedgehog. Maybe the fox can hear him (our window's open) and that's what's sending him crazy!

YoniWankEnobi Fri 12-Apr-13 00:49:01

Currently can see two teens being very ENERGETIC behind the bushes (our house s also behind their bushes, so I can see!) shock <vomits>

Also I can see...a couple of people by the street corner (I'm guessing drug dealing as they look like the regulars around here for that) and the house across the road. The police know btw but generally don't trace or look, usual,y a police officer ism walking around these streets at this time however, so it's unusual to do it actually at night.

Also, I can see the main road and someone putting up flowers on the house across the road, and putting fairy lights all around their garden. It's the woman's birthday and her husband has told us he's going Ti surprise her smile

Apart from the surprise, my area isn't getting a good rep...

YoniHaveToAsk Fri 12-Apr-13 00:49:31

Took all!

ripsishere Fri 12-Apr-13 01:38:48

A block of flats, a lake and an airport.

aurynne Fri 12-Apr-13 01:40:28

I'm in my office at home, and through the window I can see my front garden. It's quite small but very green, and there are several varieties of trees in different states of defoliating (Autumn in New Zealand). I particularly like the Japanese Maple tree, who looks bright red. I can also see our wooden table and chairs and the parasol, which by now should probably be stored in the garage. At the back, the garage, and behind it I can see the neighbour's roof.

CarpeVinum Fri 12-Apr-13 01:42:12

The Dark

Rural Italy isn't big on streetlights, and it's too overcast for stars/moon.

Just a blob of blackness out there.

80sMum Fri 12-Apr-13 02:02:12

One little orange street light visible through the trees about 2 hundred yards away where the driveway meets the road. Other than that, pitch darkness.

I can see an opportunity.

Then I realize I've nodded off in a business meeting.

orangey London night sky with lots of twinkly lights of buildings etc in the distance. In the foreground treetops and dark garden/common.

OrangeFootedScrubfowl Fri 12-Apr-13 02:52:29

Trees. Lots of trees lit up by next door's security light.

echt Fri 12-Apr-13 04:18:08

It's 1.15 in the afternoon, and a warm 25, but with low autumn light. I can see into my front yard, the bench and table, some plants waiting to be put in beds later. Several plants in bloom, but here there is always something in flower. Utterly silent: the leaf blowing/wood sawing nutters must be having their lunch. Bliss.
