And to be even MORE U cos I am bloody (no pun intended) watching the shite?

YABU,

Why are you shocked? Plenty of people like it and it's after the watershed.

Why are you shocked? Its after 9. Yabu to watch it though, there are nonrwal storylines in them and the acting is crap.

thenightsky Sun 24-Feb-13 23:13:06

I'm recording it. Love a scary film to do the ironing to.

ThatVikRinA22 Sun 24-Feb-13 23:13:30

if its the very first one YABU.

for all the sequels YANBU on the grounds that they are just crap.

Vicar No, the second one is way better than the first one! grin

SinisterBuggyMonth Sun 24-Feb-13 23:23:22

YABU Channel 4 has aired them before.

Love a bit of spooky horror but torture porn is not my cup of rosehip tea

numbum Sun 24-Feb-13 23:24:09

Is number 5 the last one? If so then it's shit

EmpressMaud Sun 24-Feb-13 23:25:42

What Sinister said.

aldiwhore Sun 24-Feb-13 23:31:57

I'm not keen on the SAW films, I think they're rubbish, but I thought "what if Channel 5 showed Tokyo Gore Police, would I be shocked then?"

My answer is no. I'd be surprised if it was uncut, but not shocked. TV should cater for all tastes, so long as no one is hurt and it doesn't support criminal activity, anything goes.

YABU.

YABU....it's on late, and I've seen far worse on film 4 (Ichi the Killer etc).

SAW is a bit shit anyway in my opinion....gore for the sake of it and no humour. I need a bit of a laugh with my gruesomeness (if that makes sense - I love trashy zombie gore)

Now Tokyo Gore Police was a bloody weird movie.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere Sun 24-Feb-13 23:41:23

It is CRAP! Gory but just shit gore! So bad. But here I am watching to the bitter end.

Hmmmmm.... I was just a but surprised to see movies like this being aired.

I humbly accept that I am BU!

aldiwhore Sun 24-Feb-13 23:56:53

Yes. It is isn't it Schro grin I'm still not sure whether I loved it for it's craziness or loathed it for the same reasons.

I hate horror films but I think the first one is far more of a psychological thriller, it's very clever really.

BegoniaBampot Mon 25-Feb-13 00:12:34

Hate all this torture porn stuff or whatever they call it.

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam Mon 25-Feb-13 00:15:08

DP is watching it now I am hiding have gone to bed because I am scared tired.

Oooh I love the SAW movies.
The people have to make a choice and there's a retribution for the actions and choices.
And everyone gets killed in different nasty ways.

I don't really get the shoot and slash for no reason films.
Or ones like Jeepers Creepers- don't go down that tunnel..... oh. Too late hmm

I wanted to go on the Thorpe Park ride but the queue was 2+ hours.

SPOILER:

Can't remember which one but there was a man in an abbatoir pit. And all the pig carcasses being dropped on him. Drowned in decomposing pig guts.
Gross (specially as I'm a vegetarian)

Aldi I am the same, DP got me to watch it when we first got together by telling me that I will love it because I loved Ichi the Killer. confused

I did really like it but I couldn't help thinking that I had been slipped some acid or something as no movie could be that strange.

However I was wrong because after that he introduced me to the movie Uzumaki...

ComposHat Mon 25-Feb-13 00:51:38

I am aware of the Saw films reputation and choose not to watch it.

I do worry about people less stable or less middle class than me watching it. Such as Builders or Geordies. That sort of person should stay well away.

AnyFucker Mon 25-Feb-13 00:59:07

Oh dear, I am married to a Geordie Builder

That's me deaded then shock

I'm shocked channel 5 have aired a film which doesn't include Jean Claude Van Dam or Steven Segal grin don't say I'm the only person who's noticed this?

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 01:03:27

I'm shocked channel 5 have aired a film which doesn't include Jean Claude Van Dam or Steven Segal don't say I'm the only person who's noticed this?

Haha!!!

ComposHat Mon 25-Feb-13 01:03:49

Any well put it this way, I wouldn't be buying any under-ripe bananas in your situation.

ComposHat Mon 25-Feb-13 01:05:51

I'm shocked channel 5 have aired a film which doesn't include Jean Claude Van Dam or Steven Segal don't say I'm the only person who's noticed this?

That is unfair, they sometimes break up the nonstop diet of Van Dam/Segal films with documentaries about the Sex industry or the Nazis.

AnyFucker Mon 25-Feb-13 01:08:07

I have hidden all the sharp and/or under ripe implements in the house.

Agreed Comp but there's always a movie clip during the adverts 'tomorrow's film at 9. VAN DAM/ SEGAL take on an army of blah blah blah' grin

ComposHat Mon 25-Feb-13 01:17:03

Showgirls is on quite a lot too.

Featuring my favourite lines of film dialogue:

"You've got great tits"

"i like having great tits"

Ingmar Bergman must be shitting himself.

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 01:27:53

Compo and that seen in which Kyle MacLachlan looks like he was fucking a fish in the swimming pool, how totally unsexy was that scene.

ComposHat Mon 25-Feb-13 01:30:56

uggggh yes. I now want to wash my mind out!

I would be shocked if it was on cbeebies but channel 5? They show an awful lot of shite so 'SAW 100:the one at the end of a long and gory day' fits in nicelygrin

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 01:33:28

Channel 5 have gone upmarket now, remember when they showed all those softcore pornos, not that i ever watched them hmm

ComposHat Mon 25-Feb-13 01:39:40

oh yes the Red Shoe Diaries!

The internet giving ready access to grot probably did for the softcore porn films.

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 01:42:03

Infact, Channel 5 had alot of smut on.

Ooh yes GregBishopsBottomBithc - thousands of "Erotic Thrillers" with Shannon Tweed in them grin

SpinningBirdKick Mon 25-Feb-13 12:37:57

What gets me is that Channel four (or Film4) haven't shown Saw 5 or 6 yet- so we're out of sync with the (very shallow) storyline!
For instance- the people in the support group are from Saw 5/6-

Not that you're missing much, mind!

mrsjay Mon 25-Feb-13 12:44:21

why are you surprised at them being aired it is a gore/horror film on late it was in the cinema and on DVd so why not on telly <shrug> I hate saw but i dont see why they shouldnt show it,

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 12:45:30

I watched the first Saw, realised it was shit, didnt bother with the rest. Im ashamed to admit that i just keep watching everything Paranormal Activity that comes out.

YABU. It's after the watershed & all that...

It's also a crap film but so are most of the ones on channel 5 smile

mrsjay Mon 25-Feb-13 12:49:47

Im ashamed to admit that i just keep watching everything Paranormal Activity that comes out.

are we not on paranormal activity 10 or something grin ch5 show sex shows disguised as 'educational and informative' saw is a nothing, ere im old enough to remember the red triangle on channel 4 blush

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 13:08:57

Number 5 will be out in October, MrsJay, im kinda willing on to scare the shit out of me, coz im a wimp, but they just dont manage it.

Stangirl Mon 25-Feb-13 13:12:02

The first one is brilliant. I also enjoyed the others but then I love that kind of thing.

The first one though is clever and well made the sequels are not.

Fakebook Mon 25-Feb-13 13:40:30

I loved the SAW films until I got to the 5th or 6th one where the detective disappeared in some glass container or something at the end. It got boring. I still don't know who was carrying out the final games.

SAW is better than Human Centipede IMHO.

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 13:55:23

There is one film i've heard of but never seen called Serbian Film, apparently its meant to be absolutely disgusting, my friend used to work at blockbuster, when the customer brought the DVD back, horrified, she snapped the disc.

BlueSkySunnyDay Mon 25-Feb-13 13:58:19

meh! I dont like horror, I dont watch it.

Not my place to say what channels show or other people should watch!

I read the wikipeedia entry for that, it is disgusting and has stayed with me since. I wish I hadn't, though in a way I'm glad as Dh brought home a load of films he'd borrowed from a colleague and I could tell him a tiny bit about it to stop him watching it. Good on her for snappping it. I actually question the motives of the person/people who wrote it Tbh. It is sick. And I've seen saw and quite a lot of gory horror.

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 14:01:32

SPB I also read the wiki entry, it nearly made me sick, you'd have to have a strong stomach to watch that. And a weird imagination to actually make something like that.

fromparistoberlin Mon 25-Feb-13 17:17:25

greg

what kind of twat gets a serbian film out? jesus, shit for brains! read the back cover

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 17:22:07

No idea, but my friend was assistant manager, she hated having disgusting shit like that in her shop.

I've watched it. I didn't realise it was nearly as bad or graphic as it was.

I have honestly never been as affected by a film as I have that, I cried and had nightmares after it. It's fucking horrible and the film makers should be put in prison.

Apparently it's 'art' <throws fucking up>.

fromparistoberlin Mon 25-Feb-13 17:24:41

thats one film I will NEVER watch

I am still traumatised by Sons of Anarchy Season 5 premiere, days it took

Schro, im sorry you saw it, but I'm glad we're all in agreement. I thought when I wad writing what I did that I felt a bit pearl clutchey but I am not am I. I'm not surprised you're haunted. I felt tainted and awful for a while after and that was just reading the wiki. Like I said the only plus in my case was that otherwise Dh would have watched it. I agree the writers should be locked up, not sure how I reconcile that with my belief in freedom of speech but I don't care. Some things are just too horrific.

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 17:56:38

Violence towards children, is not fucking art, its called being a vile twat for attention, even thinking about what i read is making my stomach heave.

SPB It's my own bloody fault for being naive and thinking it wouldn't be as bad or nearly as graphic as it actually was and no, you're not being pearl clutchey, the makers of that film are truely disgusting. I honestly didn't believe there would be any movie out there as bad as that.

Greg The makers apparently said it was art because it showed what actually happens in Serbia or something like that. It's not, it's just filth.

GregBishopsBottomBitch Mon 25-Feb-13 19:51:14

Oh i have been made aware of an even worse film called, The War Zone, its apparently truely horrific. Its got Ray Winstone in it.

babyfirefly1980 Mon 25-Feb-13 21:07:41

I agree with sons of anarchy being traumitising, I love the show and I love a good horror but the first episode was truly disturbing.
