D0oinMeCleanin Tue 01-Jan-13 00:48:10

I posted on t'other thread but I will post again because this is one resolution I am determined of and if it looks like I am not gonna stick I give all my MN buddies full permission to come and beat the sense I was born with into me....

My resolution is to shed people from my life who cause more pain than happiness and put me down more than they offer support.

VerySmallSqueak Tue 01-Jan-13 00:48:55

To save some money for a holiday.
I'm determined.

All good resolutions! To finish writing my book and get a job I love that makes me happy are my main ones I think.

lose weight. Gain cash. Sleep more if dts allow. Possibly sell house but adding that to my 'can be carried over' list :-D

GlitteryShitandDanglyBaubles Tue 01-Jan-13 01:02:35

To finally, somehow, get some confidence and self esteem. And keep it.

To start my own business doing what I am best at.

To get 'out there' and meet people and do stuff and shit like that.

To stop being afraid.

SirBoobAlot Tue 01-Jan-13 01:07:26

To learn to like myself. I've got to the point where I don't detest myself every second, and, although I'm still not entirely sure I deserve it, I would like to improve on this.

musicmadness Tue 01-Jan-13 01:08:59

1) To finish my masters course (and get a 2.1 or higher) and apply for PhDs.

I like to take up things in the new year rather than give up things iyswim.

This year I going to start playing music again.

Last year I took up running and it was the only resolution I have ever kept up all year. And I lost a stone and a bit in the process smile

ChristmasIsAcumenin Tue 01-Jan-13 08:53:18

Pass HSK1 in Mandarin
Publish 3 books
Move house
Join a new choir
Ride a horse

Ride a horse is carried over from last year; I did the other four from last year so I am determined to get that one this time.

ChristmasIsAcumenin Tue 01-Jan-13 08:55:16

We put our lists in the Christmas decorations box. It's good to see them again on Christmas Eve when we're decorating the tree.

Zwitterion Tue 01-Jan-13 10:54:56

Join a choir.

WillYuleDoTheFandango Tue 01-Jan-13 11:20:27

To fully take advantage of every second of my maternity leave (all year) with my gorgeous new baby smile

Sod the rest

cocoachannel Tue 01-Jan-13 11:24:14

To lose my baby weight (two years later...) and then conceive DC2.

Get promoted before any more mat leave but not plan DC2 around that!

missrlr Tue 01-Jan-13 11:29:38

Continue with drinking less alcohol
Continue with gym and general exercise regime
Swear less (this is a regular feature of various resolution lists)
Frown less
Achieve a work life balance where life has some weight at all
Maintain new face cleansing and care routine (started in Dec early)
Save some money for a rainy day emergency fund

Jinsei Tue 01-Jan-13 11:44:08

Christmas, that's a fabulous idea!! smile

Lose weight. Lost almost 2 and a half stone with WW last year but have struggled over last few months. Back to it next Tuesday.

Walk more.

Use my cross trainer if too wet to walk.

Carry on with last years organising/de-cluttering. House is much better but still have a bit to go.

Thinking of banning myself from here so I actually do stuff!

duffybeatmetoit Tue 01-Jan-13 11:56:55

Not to go to the gym. My cousin said it is the only resolution she's been able to keep all year grin
