To mention the shopping during sex?

motherfluckingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 20:13:18

Yeah. I was thinking about the shopping list and casually said, "oh, mustn't forget that we need more matches"!

Please tell me I'm not the only one???

Walkacrossthesand Fri 16-Nov-12 20:15:02

Dunno - it's ages since I had sex wink

cheekybaubles Fri 16-Nov-12 20:15:56

Hilarious! Well done OP for passion killer of the year. grin

TheCatIsEatingIt Fri 16-Nov-12 20:16:23

I once picked a really inappropriate moment to ask then-DP if he'd fed the cat.

Last night I mentioned visiting the inlaws during oral something. Yanbu!

Ps loved that utube "motherfuckingquiche!!!!"

cheekybaubles Fri 16-Nov-12 20:16:43

Does DH have a long thin thing with a red end?

MrsWolowitz Fri 16-Nov-12 20:17:41

grin

Did you back-pedal by adding something monstrously cheesy and over-flattering like "oh I only thought of matches are you're so smoking hot"

StaceeJaxx Fri 16-Nov-12 20:17:59

I may be thinking it quite often, but I've some how managed to stop it popping out.

CaptainBarnaclesDaddyman Fri 16-Nov-12 20:18:34

Sexy grin

I do it all the time... blush cant switch my brain off at all

MrsHoarder Fri 16-Nov-12 20:23:03

YABVU. You find time for sex and talk about the shopping in it!!!

FredFredGeorge Fri 16-Nov-12 20:26:59

I think it's fine if you say "ooh I've just remembered we need a savaloy!" but not if you say "ooh we need chipolatas!"...

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 20:27:57

Oh I'm super at saying things aloud when I thought I'd thought them. It's not the only time it's happened!! I did once say something worse...blush

Ahardyfool Fri 16-Nov-12 20:31:19

No, not unreasonable at all. I do it all the time.

LadyFlumpalot Fri 16-Nov-12 20:32:35

I've done it, only it was at the end.

I had New Look vouchers, and was excited about getting new shoes the next day.

Was still at the beginning of the relationship, we were both teenagers. OH cuddled up to me afterwards in a smug, self satisfied way and said:

"Wow, LadyFlump, that was amazing! What did you think?"

"Well" I said "I'm not sure, I like the purple ones, but I should probably get the black ones so I can wear them to work"

Amazingly, I'm celebrating my 7 year anniversary with him this week! smile

TheDetective Fri 16-Nov-12 20:33:30

I pointed out the dust on the lightshade twice to DP during our last effort at shagging.

To be fair, it was very dusty. And the shag was only in the hope it would start labour. Not the most romantic of occasions really! In fact, I mentioned it twice during said shag.

grin

D0G Fri 16-Nov-12 20:33:35

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

I'm always SO careful not to do this that I'm sure it's going to happen sooner or later...

Ahardyfool Fri 16-Nov-12 20:36:13

Hold on, did you say it during thrusting part? During pre amble is okAy I think, mid thrust = not so

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 20:38:30

During preamble...the thought just popped into my head!! Oh I can't be doing with all the faffing about. In hideously ticklish so kinda have to zone out a bit wink

Ahardyfool Fri 16-Nov-12 20:42:58

Me too! I'm sure that's why I do it - as distraction from the bit where proceedings get underway. It's all so clunky and obvious without a bit of distraction.

It's the same with movies, I never like sitting down to watch them until 10 or 15 minutes in.

HildaOgden Fri 16-Nov-12 20:43:18

How did he react???

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 20:46:59

He didn't say anything! Poor bloke!!

fishybits Fri 16-Nov-12 20:47:23

I brought up the vicar's sermon during our first shag as a married couple blush

PopMusicShoobyDoobyDoA Fri 16-Nov-12 20:48:25

i did say something worse once

What? You can't leave me in suspense.

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 20:49:22

Oh, I can grin

PopMusicShoobyDoobyDoA Fri 16-Nov-12 20:50:50

oh, I can

You cruel heartless woman grin

Alisvolatpropiis Fri 16-Nov-12 20:52:29

Really?!

I struggle to form thoughts never mind word/whole sentences.

I did once accidentally laugh in an ex boyfriends face mid kiss because I was thinking about something else. That was funny. He was a rubbish kisser.

lljkk Fri 16-Nov-12 20:52:56

It's rather, er, lacking in passion, iyswim.

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 20:53:21

Bahahaha!!!

lljkk Fri 16-Nov-12 20:53:21

Kind of suggests you aren't very engrossed in the Act.

Onebadbackandalostpelvicfloor Fri 16-Nov-12 20:53:47

Yanbu but then I am known for stopping half way through because I can't concentrate on the task at hand and admitting to being bored blush

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 20:56:06

You've admitted it?!

I'm sure we've all pretended to enjoy it so that it ends faster, but admitting it? That makes my match mention look passionate wink

Alisvolatpropiis Fri 16-Nov-12 20:56:52

Onebad but how can you be bored?

I'm an eyes on the prize kind of girl. Once it's on,there's no stopping until I am...happy? <ahem>

Onebadbackandalostpelvicfloor Fri 16-Nov-12 20:57:23

Yes. But only when I can see he's also beginning to think along similar lines

ArielThePiraticalMermaid Fri 16-Nov-12 20:57:53

I pointed out DH had a bogey once when we were having sex.

He stopped, all hurt blush

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 20:59:10

Fair enough...

Alisvolatpropiis Fri 16-Nov-12 21:00:39

I did once have to shout "stop...stop...OH MY FUCKING GOD STOP"

Because I had cramp in my right hip. Honestly,^the actual hip^, worst pain I have ever felt (I've yet to have children). That was a passion killer.

Ahardyfool Fri 16-Nov-12 21:01:26

Yes, there's nothing worse than finishing first and then having to wait for yonks to finish up and go to sleep/whip round asda/dust the lampshades

Onebadbackandalostpelvicfloor Fri 16-Nov-12 21:02:16

I get that regularly and it fucking hurts like a bitch.

Sex isn't fun when you clunk and click and ache like me. Luckily I have a very understanding man in my life!

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 21:05:59

I got cramp regularly while pregnant. God it's not been very successful recently blush I really must try harder. Not easy with a 9 week old. Just don't fancy it TBH!

dementedma Fri 16-Nov-12 21:39:51

Thinking about the shopping list takes my mind off all the faffing about.

Alisvolatpropiis Fri 16-Nov-12 21:44:38

9 weeks old?! Give yourself a break amother!

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 21:59:57

I know, I know...

Kleptronic Fri 16-Nov-12 22:05:36

My DP was just reading this thread over my shoulder and skrintching (I know this is not a real word) a rolled up magazine between clenched fists so I asked him what he was doing and he said 'That's all that's wrong with women today'.

fuzzpig Fri 16-Nov-12 22:10:19

Shame you didn't say "I need more Cooks"

At least you could've pretended he misheard the Cook bit grin

<wanders off singing "come on baby liiiiight my fire">

amotherfukingquiche Fri 16-Nov-12 22:11:45

HA!

WineGoggles Sat 17-Nov-12 17:47:37

I once laughed at something on the TV mid shag with an exBF. He was really upset that I wasn't 100% focused on the sex. At least it wasn't as bad as
this grin

I've actually fallen asleep during sex once too which was bad as I was on top at the time blush. In my defense I was a drunk teenager and it was past my bedtime.

BertieBotts Sat 17-Nov-12 17:55:28

Haha! I can never focus on anything at a time either. I have been known to come out with similar things blush

Luckily DP is rather good at bringing my attention back to the matter in hand wink

betterwhenthesunshines Sat 17-Nov-12 18:19:51

Haha grin making me laugh. Especially "take my mind off all the ticklish pre-faffing about bit". When DH thinks he can get me in the mood (to be fair he usually can if he tries) but all I can think about is whether the rugby kit is packed. Funny how the same thing can sometimes be a real turn on and sometimes just... really irritating.. "Just get on with it!"

I do love mumsnet.

redexpat Sat 17-Nov-12 22:34:06

I once squeezed a spot on my eyebrow. He didn't notice. Last time we were at it DH said 'do you want to make DS an advent calendar?' I think that's on a par with the matches.
