You are right due to the story lines. They have pulled it after the very sad events in Cumbria.

They had filmed scenes with guns in so they pulled it......

Your DH should understand that surely????

no..i asked him how he would feel if someone he knew had been involed. he said that if a member of his family had been shot, he wouldnot be watching the tv anyway.
i still think he would have skyplussed it though!!
cant really understand how i managed to end up marrying somebody so insensitive

I have never met a man who was into soaps at all. I have always assumed soap obsessions was a female thing

Although I am a woman and I hate them so clearly I am talking out of my arse then

I want to say "it's only a soap ffs, tell him to get a life" but I know some people are really into the miserable things and just because I think they're mindless pap doesn't mean other people have to share that view.

But really, it's a few days without a soap. He'll cope.

Good grief!
Don´t know whether to laugh or cry!

He´ll manage!

Why oh why do people watch that shite? And more to the point, why do people keep starting threads about it not being on? Mindless morons.

I watch Corrie... Ahem hehe.
I'm a bit miffed that it's not on but completely understand why it isn't. It'll be on eventually.

It's thoughtful of the makers to not show it because of the events in Cumbria, but I bet your DH isn't the only one who is not happy about it.
I don't watch it so it doesn't bother me

When I met DH he watched Eastenders and Dawson's Creek. He's all man. I don't let him watch them now.

Nope, sorry, I get why they didn't put it on, but do somewhat feel it's over the top. We have people being killed in the military; it's devastating and on the news all the time, but they don't cancel any war/military programmes on. We have lots of devastating crime and such, and similar programming isn't cancelled or rescheduled. Corrie is just a programme. I can't imagine that it is considered THAT reflective of real life that it would be that much of an issue. So while I understand why they did it, I didn't think it was necessary.
