AIBU?

To leave my 13 month old ds to do what he likes today?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and have had a banging headache for 3 day's. Yesterday I pushed through it and had a lovely day in the park playing on the swings, splashing around in the fountain and walking through the park to see all the different tree's and the occasional dog.

But today even the daylight is hurting me and am finding it hard to lift my head off the pillow! Dp isn't home until tonight.

So I've shut our bedroom door and the bathroom door, I've got all ds's toy's out and put them around his room, I've got all his books on the coffee table ready to read to him if needs be and I've set up his favourite game (all the pillows and duvets on the floor in a big pile to roll around in)

He has water and snacks to hand and his lunch is all ready to give him when he's ready.

Now, am I being unresonable to just let him get on with it while I lie on the sofa and nurse this headache.

And if anyone can help with this bloody headache I'll be grateful.

Now must put iPhone down as writing this on a tiny screen is not helping!

Sounds good but really think you should phone someone about the headache.

Have you taken any paracetemol for your headache? Take some and drink some water to make sure that dehydration isnt making it worse and call your GP to talk to on call dr to make sure there isnt anything to worry about.

YANBU to let DS get on with playing in front of you while you feel ill.

Go for it. We are having PJ day today too and I have a massive headache from a whole week of rubbish sleep.

infact the pillows and duvey on the floor in a big pile sounds a great idea - for me that is!

How is your blood pressure? Headache can be a symptom of high blood pressure.

YANBU.

I did the same a few days ago as I was feeling terrible (am pregnant too, so you have my sympathy). You've made a safe space, with lots of entertainment and provision for food etc.

Second the drinking water suggestion and of course paracetamol if you haven't already had some. Would definitely give someone a call about the headache though. 3 days is a long time to suffer and like others have already said could mean your bp is a little high.

Hope you feel better soon.

May be worth getting your iron levels checked out. I had low iron count in both of my pregnancies and suffered terribly with headaches throughout. It used to drive me mad! I felt permanently like I was hungover, but I wasn't! Try and drink lots of water and eat little and often to keep hydrated and energy levels up. Take care
