Or maybe 'naive' would be a better term than unreasonable... To think based on the manifestos I want to vote Labour but I actually pretty reluctant to because they've had long enough to do all these things already..?

This is a very basic and simplistic question I know.. Im not very clued up about politics really...

Is anyone else is turmoil about how to cast their vote?

I'm in turmoil about how to vote too, although for different reasons. It is going to hurt me not to vote labour, but 'because I always have' is not a good enough reason. The erosion of civil liberties under labour really bothers me (quite apart from the war etc etc). Going to have to let my head overrule my heart on this decision.

Sort of in turmoil. The problem with me is that I would like go on personality and there is just not a candidate that has a strong personality / backbone and who I can see being a leader. Gordon Brown just obviously is crap, and Cameron is just about PR.

Why can't they just be straight forward? I hate politics nowadays. Bring back Maggie - at least she had backbone.

Also, I agree with molesworth.

IKWYM Ali. Slightly ashamed to admit the extent to which I'm swayed by personality, e.g. my local labour candidate seems like a thoroughly good egg, but that's no good reason to vote for him if he's supporting policies which erode civil liberties! The live TV debates will be interesting, won't they?

Thanks for your points of view. Molesworth I am hoping all will become clear in the debates.. I may watch with a pen and paper so I can make notes and mull it over... People in RL I have asked about this are suprised I care so much... anyone else experienced this?
