AIBU?

AIBU to expect a more traditional type of flakiness?

I hope I'm not setting myself up for a fall / roasting here but I thought it might entertain

I usually have a "reading" from someone every year. Even if I have to go to Madame Rosa on the pier. They are always crap.

The reason for doing this is because once upon a time I was somewhere 50 miles from home doing something with DD and her dancing and there was a palm reader.

She mentioned only four names. My grandmother and three of her children, by name, exactly, no other names just M, B and J. It freaked me out big time but I started to think there might be something in it.

Anyway, since then I've seen several people all seeming to be "fishing" and probing. But they all seemed to be following the same sort of lines.

Last week's person was supposed to be a Romany etc and she did my cards a bit - making me choose other ones which is a bit off if you ask me. I've done a bit of tarot and you should be able to weave a narrative from any cards.

Anyway, she then started talking about Aliens and Reptilians. And David Icke! She said her spiritual views had changed the more she had read on the internet and by Googling "Lies About" whatever she wanted to know.

911 conspiracies, CNN reporters being alien reptiles, it all came out. Britney and Michael Jackson were sent down to be among us. I wanted to ask why one had talent and the the other not but was more than a bit gobsmacked.

The worst thing was that she was totally averse to aspartame and the diet food industry and I actually agree with that!

It's a light hearted AIBU but I'm interested

That is funny. I suppose it makes a change!

I had a reading once for my birthday, when I was with XP, she got him right down to a T though the reading was about me, he was NOT happy about this! Liked to think nobody could "read" him.

Can't remember what she said other than that he liked arguing - he said "She's [BB] the one who likes arguing" and the tarot reader said "Hmm. She [BB] will argue a particular point, but you [XP] argue for sport." Which was so true She also drew a stork card for January, which I said "Oh, that doesn't mean a baby, does it?" (I was 19 and we were NOT trying) to which the tarot reader said, hmm, not necessarily, it can mean any kind of new beginning. That January I became accidentally pregnant with DS.

It drives me and DH round the bend!

Never heard the one about britney and mj before.
