Saturday started as a normal day got up went shopping with my son aged 3 then on the way back some idiot pulled out straight across the road in front of me at speed as a result i hit him head on and have written the car off, got cracked sternum, bruised ribs, collarbone and whiplash! police attended and after he calmed down blaming a learner driver for the accident (the leaning was waiting to pull out totally inocent) he was charged with no license, no insurance and dagerous driving.
Found out today he gave false details and has disappeared I have the address he gave the police and am contenplaiting knocking on the front door and confronting the ba*rd he could of killed my son and all he did was complain his car was written off my son thank the good lord was just shocked and disorientated. would you go after him if you were in my shoes, because of my injuries my poor son is being looked after by various friends and relations as i am not exactly mobile

YANBU to WANT to, but i wouldn't, he doesn't sound the responsible type and could be dangerous!

YANBU, but don't do it. Make sure the police know he gave false details so they can add that to his list of crimes.

Hope you feel better soon.

If it's a false address how would going to it help?

Either way, stay away.

Same thing happened to us a few years back

Uninsured driver gave false details, car wasnt correctly registered so they got off scot free

Our car was a write off and as we only had 3rd party ins was gone for good

I was just grateful dd who was about 4/5 months was ok

Surprised he got away with giving false address - thought everything was checked on their computers before letting you go? (at least they did with me and it wasn't even my fault).

Especially as by then they knew he had no insurance?

(if he has no licence there isnt anything to check on their computer iyswim, unless he is a known criminal in which case he prob gave a false name)
