AIBU?

To really not want to go get DH from the station?

Ok, realistically I know I am but still...

Woke up to at least 6 inches of snow this morning, roads to the station are back roads and have not been gritted at al. During today, the snow has melted somewhat and obviously cars have been driving on them etc, but now it is FREEZING again and the roads are super icy.

This morning was the fist time I have driven in these conditions (am an Aussie! moved here during the "summer"!! ROFL). DH knew I was nervous and drove to the station and I had to drive home again. The street we use to turn around to come home was completely icy and wet and I slid the car . I managed to stop it and freaked out and called DH who ran from the station, moved the car down the hill for me and went back to the station. (wub wub wub!! Love him!! ) I then (slowly!!) drove home.

I know the conditions are twice as bad re: ice tonight and the kids are VERY hyperactive tonight so dont think I will be able to shush them as much as this morning, adding another distraction.
The station is two villages over and I am freaking out as it is also now dark!! I know I have to get used to it, but still, very nervous...

(am also 20 wks pregnant on Sunday if that makes you all go in my favour!!)

Well, your case for not going, has won me over!

I have to admit, I was all ready to tell you not to be mean, but actually, I think he'll be OK to walk/bus/taxi home.

How will he get home if you don't get him? Can he get a cab/bus?

YANBU if he has an alternative.

YABU if he doesn't.

No way should you drive. He will have to walk. Why didn't he drive and leave the car at the station?

Too many reasons to not drive imo.

Fab sorry x-posted. He left me the car in case DS1s school was open (which is the village i between ours and the station one!) It was, but in the end I decided I couldnt face it and we built a snow man instead!

I really think he should get a cab. You didn't have a great experience this morning and it will be worse now as it is dark.

We live in a similar situation, I'm not pg, my dc's are good at being quiet and I still wouldn't go. Fortunately my dh is home hungover sleeping.
