AIBU?

to think that Liverpool and Everton should just shut up and share a stadium?

That's it. They've both got problems.

Sharing a stadium like the Milan clubs and the Rome clubs and the Munich clubs, is the answer.

YABU! Think I'd have a heart attack if City were told they had to ground share with Manchester Utd.

I don't care if they do.

However, if you suggested that the Gooners set foot on hallowed Stamford Bridge turf outside of playing against my beloved Blues, I would say you were being VVVVV unreasonable!

I can't see the Toffeemen or the Kop crew going for it somehow.

Who would get which end, & how many tickets, when they played each other?

Well, based on Munich:

The stadium is white and transluscent.

When Bayern Munich play there, the fibre optics glow red, and their regular hardcore support take one end, and general sale is at the other. And they have a regular home dressing room.

Meanwhile, when 1860 Munich play there, the fibre optics glow blue, and their support have the other end (they don't sell out their spare tickets). And they have the other dressing room.

You would rather have a Tesco's stadium outside the city?

Share a stadium in Stanley (Knife) Park and you'd have a covered roof at a decent price.

BelfastBloke, seriously do you have a team you support? You know, the kind of support that runs deep. Would you honestly be happy to share with your local rivals?

But the Milan teams are deep rivals as well. It works there

NOTHING would make me want to ground share with Man Utd!

Yeah we'll get Tottenham to move into the Emirates while we're at it...

Are you colin murray bb? If so contrary to what you said on 5live today Everton's new stadium was not going to be built on the Wirral, rather Kirkby which is still Liverpool. Everton should build a new joint ground with St. Helens RLFC and Liverpool should stay at Anfield imho.

But that's my point, isn't it? They are rivals but share a stadium. Violence at a derby would happen regardless of whose stadium it is, surely? No-one wants to share but it's all down to economics. The idea of moving Everton's ground to Kirkby seemed crazy.

BelfastBloke · 29/11/2009 23:47

Emotionally, 'course I wouldn't be happy to share a stadium.

Practically, realistically, I can see it would work OK. Have you seen how close Anfield is to Goodison Park? If it can work anywhere, it can work there.

In economic terms there's no option but to

Neither club can afford the stadium they aspire to

In terms of there beinng any hope for the surrounding neighbourhoods and their future economic prosperity it's the only thing to do
