No, I would be very grateful that you had cooked for me at all seeing as you have had such a busy week, and would just be glad to spend some time with you! The M&S £10 looks great anyway!

I am sure your mum would love whatever. When my gran sees my dad she always says she doesnt care what they do because she just came to see him nothing else!

You could always pass it off as your own. I've done that with Waitrose food and nobody had been any the wiser.

I've only seen the adverts on telly but I would be thrilled if someone made me dinner [feeling sorry for self emoticon] marks is always quality food and I miss it enormously.

I wouldn't travel for 3 hours just for dinner, but I would do it to see my lovely daughter. If I got some lovely M&S food thrown in and a more relaxed daughter to chat with, I'd be delighted!

Sounds lovely to me. I would not mind atall if it was me, can't believe anyone would.
Maybe get some nice bread to go with it, delicious.

M&S is nice. Buying M&S food is a perfectly acceptable alternaive to making "an effort"

It looks like a great selection for this one - the sea bass is lovely! I would say she's come to see you - and M and S is hardly a come down is it? It's not Lidl dine in for £10...

disclaimer - Lidl is perfectly acceptable at all times, just making a comparison in terms of perceived status.

As you were.

M&S food? what's not to like! She's your mum ... she's coming to see you, she won't mind at all.

Lidl dine in for £10 would be for an 8-person dinner party, surely?

Not at all, I'd be delighted!

She'll just be happy to have something nice to eat and to know her daughter is going a bit easy on herself after a tough week. She won't want to see you frazzled and stressed out and with less cooking time you'll be able to spend more time with eachother!
