AIBU?

to feel a bit sorry for Coleen Rooney (& most other sleb new mums?)

I've notcied that in mag interviews/general news etc the media are already asking Coleen what her post baby diet is/will be, when she'll be hitting the gym, when she'll be getting her pre baby body back etc etc.

The girl has just had a baby & will be getting to grips with all that comes with that including broken sleep, feeding, nappy changes as well as recovering from the birth - like the majority of new mums I'm sure the last thing on her mind, for the next few weeks at least, will be her figure.

Is it little wonder that sleb mums feel the pressure to ping back into shape? Surely the media should lay off the figure/post baby body/diet questions? I know that as these people chose to live their lives in the public eye they should expect scrutiny like this but isn't wrong to focus so much on women's bodies post birth?

AIBU to feel for her a bit & wish less pressure was put on women in general to get back their figures just like that?

I'm not inetrested in CR as such, more the pressure that is put on women, those in the public eye & those who are not, to get back to their pre baby figures.

its crappy sleb mag journo pap.. and that's all it is
though, danger is when people read them and those ideas are perpetrated as the way to go
..
most women wont be turning down offers to present itv2 programmes after giving birth nor can they afford the private medical surgical proceedures proferred to and welcomed by slebs
they have a profile disproportionate to their talents, insecurities abound i guess ... and no sense of the bigger picture of their fame they play the game take the money as and when its on offer and run....

yabu
people like coleen have made a fortune out of nothing, she hasn't got an amzaing talent(singer/actress/artist) this is how she has become a "cleb" oh and being a wag.
so why the suprise that people expect her to carry on even now she is a mum......

2shoes - I actually like Coleen Rooney. She does a lot of charity work because of her younger sister who has Rett's Syndrome. She went to a normal hospital to have this baby, and she turned down a £1 million offer from OK for the baby pictures. She deserves a break to enjoy her new baby I think.

well given her image and brand rooney are her profitable business it is in her best interest to get figure back etc.ping that waistline, kerching the tills ring. so actually i imagine she will be wondering about her wt loss, post baby work out dvd

genuinely cant say i am perplexed about schlebs and their lifestyle

the media dont lay off because she needs them too.her job is being a wag.the media promote such things because for some unfathomable reason some folk care

It does put unrealistic pressure on mortals though. I feel oddly reassured by the Charlotte Churches of the world.

only pressures those susceptible to such things, isnt universal appealing.undoubtedly some people will emulate wags however many wont,at all

The insufferable pressure will probably be eased slightly by the massive amount of cash she has.
