ive just got into the police, was pleased as punch with myself - seriously - this will be my first ever proper career as i had kids young.

got a fitness test coming up, so am running 3 times a week.

so, its my second week in training, and i set off on my run. neightbour over the road is a curtain twitcher - knows everything everyone is doing.

so she clocked me in my running gear and asked me if i was trying to get fit

"yes" says i
"i got into the police, so im training for the fitness test"

she raises an eyebrow and goes

"oh?, im really surprised they let you in at your age"

im 37. she really pissed on my parade!

Well done on getting into the police, hope you really enjoy your new career. Your age will mean you bring experience and maturity to your job .

Mind you I am almost fifty, so you sound like a mere child to me. (police officers look so young these days emoticon)
