AIBU?

To want to stay in and watch Street Crime UK instead of going to see bloke's show?

It's an outside show, it's PISSING down with rain, I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I really don't want to leave the house. And can I find an umbrella in the tip that is our walk-in cupboard? No.

I also have to meet up with one of his friends who I have nothing in common with and I don't feel chipper enough to pretend jolliness.

I know it's unsupportive etc, but I just can't be arsed.

It's 'The Gathering' up at Edinburgh Castle. Allegedly it's a mixture of Cats and Braveheart...

Oh - and it doesn't start until 10pm. What kind of time is that to start a show??

Right - have found an umbrella (Poundstretcher's finest - let's hope there's no wind) The guilt has made my mind up for me - Edinburgh Castle, here I come. Miles away, it is. And all up-hill. Sigh.

Thanks southeastastra, for what I take to be a YANBU.

Just a wee update on this - went to the show and LOVED it. I cried from start to finish. If anyone's going to the actual show tonight (I went to the dress rehearsal, and the audience wasn't filled to capacity) I'm SO jealous. The atmosphere should be amazing.
