4ish year old girl walking round ASDA swinging a coke filled Avent bottle by its teat

4ish year old boy asleep being pushed round ASDA in one of the reclining baby seats on top of the trolley that says it is only for babies of up to 9kg, by his obese parents (don't know how they got him up there)

A 5ish year old boy calling his mum a "fat bastard" and then kicking a stand in a shop (mum did nothing)

There are more but sods law I can't remember them now! Is it just ASDA shoppers or do these sorts of things happen elsewhere!

Another ASDA thread with an ASDA advert on it! What's going on?

I shop in Asda fairly often and have neevr seen anything like this. Perhaps because our Asda is in a 'posh' area?

Seriously though I've never seen anything akin to this in any Asda. Is this the beginning of an epidemic? I hope not.

Maybe they should hire out seats at ASDA at the end of the aisles so that people who like to judge can sit at the ends and watch the shoppers and judge away to their hearts content.
Then they could see which "judge" has got the most ....might make it into a reality TV show.

the asda advert has been on all day. I must admit I cannot stomach ready made sauces usually at all but I make exception to the lloyd grossman ones that are now available for £1 in asda stores everywhere

KingRolo · 20/04/2009 16:43

Those sauces are half price in Morrisons so you can avoid ASDA and all the shocking fat children drinking coke while being pushed around in trolleys .

Ok.....maybe I should have just said supermarket !!! No I don't work there and am not that judgemental, but come on!!! A 4 year old in a baby seat on top of a trolley!

My ds's headteacher shops in ASDA and my local GP! I can see the supermarket snobbery is a wind up, pinkcorsage. I shop in ASDA's every week and see all sorts of people there.

Well up North we don't have Waitroses. Do they have a dress code

Actually I did see someone in Asda today call a 4yo girl a silly little cow I glanced across at another shopper as I was somewhat taken aback by this and she was looking equally gobsmacked.
Oh well, at least she didn't swear!
That is the first time I've seen anything like that in my local Asda. Far more common at the local Morrisons

Damn. Now I've just remembered that I was supposed to pick up some more of those LG sauces...

those lloyd grossman sauces were slashed in siansbury's too. What's going on? Are they all about to expire?

Report
LadyFio · 20/04/2009 16:55

I think it because they have changed the recipe packaging

Love how a judgey supermarket thread has somehow turned into a Lloyd Grossman sauce thread. Very Mumsnet!

people are forever diddling about with recipes, aren't they. Not that I have ever bought a grossman sauce. He bugs the pants off me.
