I parked in a proper pay and display bay, with double yellow behind me and a juction, put the blue badge in and took dd of shopping, cam back and some fucker had parked behind me!!!!!!!!
what made it worse is they had a blue badge in, you would think they would realise.(and of course no trafic warden in sight)
so I had to stop a lady to watch dd whilst I pulled in to the road(blocking road) than you to nice lady. then I had to put dd into van and strap wheelchair in, all the time holding up nice lady number 2.

blue badge does not mean you can be sodding inconsiderate.
rant over

My husband firmly believes that any car he drives should come equipped with Exocet missiles. In his case they would be for bad drivers and caravans - but I think they would be far more justified for use in this case, saint2shoes!!

blue badge holder or not - there is nothing more annoying than people who actually believe that their needs and requirements over-ride everyone else's.

YANBU to fantasise about keying the van although you would BU if you actually did.

I parked in a car park the other day and some knobhead parked wonky in the bay next to me so I couldn't get DS into his car seat as I couldn't open the door wide enough. I had to do the same as you, pull out into the road so I had enough room. I had to leave DS in his buggy whilst I did this.

I left a note on his window calling him an inconsiderate twat.

suwoo someone did that to me a while back. They got a note and a thumbful of vaseline on the inside of their door handle (no damage but annoying for them). Selfish.

at that sobanoodle, I could have done the same if I'd thought of it, I have vaseline in my bag. I may have just rammed my car door into theirs a few times for good measure though.

remember it next time suwoo... .

Now what I'd love to buy would be elegant leather gloves with one sharp finger tip sewn in with which i wouldn't be overly careful when trying to squeeze past some twattily parked car to get into mine...

YANBU 2Shoes. On our busses at school we have stickers on the back saying to leave 3 meters of space to allow wheelchair access. Not that you should have to have one, but might avoid further problems if it is spelt out to them.

Just thinking - do you have a badge on the back asking people to leave space for the ramp? As you know, they're perfectly within their rights using their badge to park on double yellows (although proximity to the junction you mention might have made it inadvisable). Annoying as it is, would they necessarily have known you needed access for a ramp?

saint2shoes · 20/04/2009 22:10

I have a sticker on the back and the ramp is visible. you can't park and cause an obstruction with a disabeld badge(junction) but even so they should still have common decncy.

I know they crush cars without road tax, they should do the same for anyone caught with a stolen badge, that will show them

pixiemason we were really lucky when we had a bay(have a drive now) none of the neighbours would ever park in ti, one even asked if her freind(who had a badge) could use it when we were away a couple of taxi drives did, but I made them move.

In that case saint - it looks like the evidence that the driver was a numpty is pretty much stacked against him!

As for keying??? No, rise above it, and when you eventually get home reward your goodness with chocolate and wine or whatever your poison is! Or, (I'm taken for granted numpty hasn't set his clock) call the police and say your obstructed and with a bit of luck they'll tow him away.

I didn't key It it was a old heap anyway, I did have this mad image of just letting the ramp down on it's bonnet
