I like things like 'Relocation ..,' Grand Designs' and human interest things like 'Who Do You Think You Are.'
DP prefers the football, series like 'The West Wing,' various films.
We both like BBC4 docs like the current one on wine. We both like Shameless, Early Doors etc.

My frustration is that not only do i feel i don't get a say in what we watch, but that I'm reminded that the progs I'm missing are 'mindless twaddle,' pointless lady's piffle' and various other regular put downs. I feel really hurt by this and have told dp that I don't think it should about judging each others preferences.

I think I feel even more irritated because I myself feel irritated by some aspects of the programmes I like, for example how they mabnage to pad them out to an hour by constant re-capping, But I want to think that for myself, not have it constantly shoved down by my throat by a patronising partner.

I am exactly the same as you.

DH thinks all these programmes are dribble and we should be watching Newsnight and programmes about the history of money or something........

may have taken it all too far though as DD1 and I have started watching Paris Hiltons search for a best friend. We know no lower limit it seems!

yes!!!!!
DD1 says it looks like a good'un tomorrow!

My fave ATM seems to be Country House Rescue, have you seen that one? Also find the constant recapping extremely annoying.

it was on the other night but might have been on E4. I know I sky plussed two episodes so have another for a low moment.

DH watches some crap too - can I mention New Tricks, Minder, very old Daziel and Pascoe, very old Poirot and all those countdown 'most popular adverts/hits of the 80s' kind of thing.

I love Kirsty and Phil and was in my element the other week when DH went out so not there to talk over the top of it.

Feel I have an ally now that DD1 is getting older.

Also really love Come Dine with Me and Loose Women (even though I hate all the women on it)

I am with you wanna for the most part but for some reason I really can't do Top Gear. I like some of the content but can't stand the presenters. Bit of a common theme on here I know but promise that I hated them for a long time.
