It's been a term used in Rugby Union and League for about 120 years! They stole it from us.

It always reminds me of a man furtling with his testicles.

There's a fielding position in cricket called 'silly mid-off' ... that always makes me titter with glee.

Right! Indeed! The Americans have sneekily deployed a divertionary i in order to conceal the fact that they have stolen the term scrummage from us.

A scrimmage is a picture of a scrotum, and a term used in American Baseball.
