AIBU?

to think that after saying 'Let's watch your favourite film together', Bloke could at least have had the decency to stay awake through the intro music, or even snore slightly less loudly so I can hear the feckin thing

Hmm...I know I am probably over-reacting slightly, which may be down to the wine, but I am a bit peeved to be fair.

I have not watched Dirty Dancing for well over a year and a half. It is my favourite film, but we have always watched it together when we were a bit tipsy. Pregnancy and breastfeeding has meant that I have been out of commission for drunken nights on the sofa, but now that little Ff is 8 mo and reliably sleeps for 12 hours, I have been getting myself back in the game, so to sleep.

So, tonight, he comes in from watching the rugby at the pub, and says that after X Factor he is going to watch Dirty Dancing with me, 'as a treat' and yet he is now crashed on the sofa, snoring worse than Boydog.

Am I being unreasonable in thinking that he could at least have pretended to mean it?

Doh, so to sleep should read 'so to speak'.

Why are men so rubbish?

I am not going to lose my rag though - he has (tentatively) promised that tomorrow morning, after she has been breastfed, he will take little Ff down stairs for her cereal, and let me go back to sleep FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 8 MONTHS. I am very excited about this, so will not be rocking the boat until after breakfast tomorrow!

Is he re-charging his batteries for a little dirty dancing of his own later maybe???

Ha, as if!

He did let me go back to sleep after breastfeeding this morning, although not before he asked me how to make the weetabix. And by the look of her when he brought her upstairs to report that breakfast had been successful, he just smeared it all over her so she could lick it off herself, in a new and progressive BLW technique!
