to expect a bit of sympathy from OH when I'm ill

Hada lovely day yesterday with DH and kids at beach, but when we returned I literally took a turn for the worst (TMI time) started weeing out my bum and had to go straight to bed as I felt soo sick. Then DH asked me to help put the baby to bed - give her a bottle and settle her. I did it but it was a bit touch and go. Then was puking from 8 til 9pm and then again from 2am and the rest...

Anyhoo, Baby wakes up at 6 and DH asks me to go to her as he has to go to work later and I can lounge in bed all day - WTF!

He was jsut stroppy and grumpy because I said no, I'm ill - you do it. He made me get up again to kid the kids dressed whilst he had a shower.

Am I the only woman in existance who is not allowed to be ill for more than 5 minutes? oh and to get a bit of sympathy too - all I get is 'you are always ill and moaning' which I'm not.

So I'm off work today now, feeliong dreadful and I bet he'll ask me to get dressed later and pick up the kids from nursery... not wise as this is a gastrobug and will spread it through nursery,.
Does anyone else have this pathetic battle? When he has a cold you'd think he had pneumonia...

Sorry I am ranting!

Yesterday I told my lot that I wish they could all have a migraine for a day then they could experience the pain I endure and then they would just leave me alone and not keep asking me "what's for lunch/dinner?", "where's ", "Can I have a lift to*", etc. etc. I have come to the conclusion that I am, in fact, some sort of superhuman as I can perform these tasks that no one else in our house is even remotely capable of.!!!!!
You have my sympathy.

Boobalina...milk it. He knows he has done wrong. Tell him you are still not feeling better so he will need to look after the children/dinner/you when he gets home.

Poor you

Bet when he gets it as more than likely he will. He will insist on remakning in isolation to protect the rest of you from getting it thats what happened to me the last time I was ill.

I am going to milk it I think as I feel much better now, but naturally, too poorly to get kids, make supper. So off or a long bubbly bath into fresh PJ's ;)
