AIBU?

to ask twanker (exH) to pick the DS's up on Saturday like this........

exH was going to try and have the DS's for 2nights this weekend, Saturday was guaranteed, but Friday he had to check. He's just let me know that he can't do Friday this week. Fair enough, it was always a possibility while he's still without a car.

However, I'm planning on doing a table top sale (indoor carboot lol) on Saturday morning set up for sellers is 9am, buyers get in between 10 and 12. I need to get rid of some of my clutter, and Saturday is an ideal opportunity (especially is the church hall is only round the corner from me).

So, I've suggested to him (yet to hear back wit his response) that I get all their stuff ready and leave it in the hallway, take the DS's round to the church hall on the next street, then he pick them up (and the key) come and get their stuff, then drop the key back in with me at the church hall. He's always hated attending events linked to the church and he's guaranteed that someone will stop and try and chat to him and ask him how he is etc etc - he would usually avoid going anywhere close to this type of thing like the plague

There's only this sale, and another in November for me to try and get rid of stuff, and then I'm left with ebay/local free ads.

AIBU to suggest this to him???

Sounds perfectly reasonable.

No you're not.

The alternative is, he comes earlier so that he can avoid the church?

Or you take girls stuff with you - or is there not room in the car with all the stuff you need to get rid of?

I don't drive - I'm going to be carrying boxes across the road and down to the church hall as it is (and there's a lot of stuff) - which will mean several trips - not sure I would have time for travel cot, bag with overnight stuff, booster chair etc too lol.

well it's also a case of that he's going to be borrowing his sisters car again (I presume - as he did this last weekend) - and they tend not to get up so early Saturday mornings (And they're lovely so would hate for them to have to get up earlier just so that he can use their car - when it's his open stupid fault he doesn't have one of his own at the moment lol)

I wouldn't give him the keys so that he could enter the house on his own, not under any circumstances.

why not shitehawk? It is still legally his house (my name isn't on it anywhere) and I trust him to pick the stuff up from the hallway and lock it again and return the key to me (he wouldn't want someone breaking in and trashing the place as it's just gone on the market lol).

You could say - text me when you are outside and I will run out with the girls so he doesn't have to come in, to be really helpful (bigger person and all that).

no I'm not running in and out and leaving my stall (even if I will probably have my my best friend on the stall next to me who would watch mine for me ) -

ps they're DS's not DD's

Sorry FAQ. That would freak him out - if you ran out and put some random GIRLS into the car. Fair enough.
