..."just fixed the damn machine!"

Now over a month since we moved into rented accomodation and the washing machine is unuseable - newly installed, new machine but not fit for use. Just had text from landlord with yet another excuse as to why the guy who's supposed to be fixing it can't come after all today. Am so - 28wks pg with 2 todlers means no machine is no picnic!

and yes they've apologised again, and yes they've given us money for the second week in a row to cover the cost of doing washing elsewhere and yes they're very nice people but...

Have spd which means carting washing to and fro is not easy which means waiting for dh to help who's working very long shifts/nights atm - so nothing happenng quickly. Kids are in disposables which are agrevating their skin and costing a fortune - have perfectly good tots bots sat not used. Plus not helping that they leak like my cloth ones don't which is even worse with no way of just bunging stuff straight into a wash.

So very, very fed up! Just want to go back to my unsold house (whole other stress) in Scotland with it's working washing machine and feel like I've some control over our living conditions.

Maybe call and be a bit assertive, sort of "I understand why the fixing guy can't come again, and I appreciate the steps you've taken to help, BUT I need a w-m NOW" (mouths end of sentence to self "you ignorant twats")?
Broken record might just help them realise they need to get off their arses and get it sorted. Hope so, god I had spd with my 1st, bloody agony, washing was one of the hardest things I found, and stairs...
Hope they sort it as a matter of urgency.

About to formulate a letter along those lines coxiegirl, partly because we've now got another issue with the accomodation which has come up plus I'm sooo hormonal atm that if i chat to them direct I'm likely to just rant, politely but rant nonetheless. Honestly i could just sit and cry, it's really starting to get on top of me a bit.

Poor you, hormones are a pita. Letters are good, or lots of rehearsal and writing it down helps me (and getting rid of kids for a bit if poss).

Nice people bumbling around sometimes need a kick up the arse. Hope it's working right NOW!, it's unacceptable to wait so long.

(((hugs))) to you, and a curse on all the useless twats who make our lives more difficult than they need to be!

Just to quickly up-date, machine finally got sorted thurs - they hadn't taken the blasted transit screws out when installing - dh had mentioned this could be the prob weeks ago! Still it's sorted and looks like they're getting on to the other stuff too. Just to cover ourselves we put a polite but firm letter in the post outlining everything a few days ago which I think helped.
