AIBU?

To be annoyed that I am in bed ill and one of my symptoms is a bad head that dp is blaring music downstairs and that he won't go and get forms to register me at the doctor.

His music is so loud he could not hear the door bell ringing, even though his study is downstairs! I had to go and open the door in snot stained pyjamas and stickky up hair and splutter all over the locksmith.

I am not registered at the doctor as we have just moved and just said to dp I need to go and register and get an appointment. The surgery is at the end of our road. Dp said I really don't think you need to go, because he can't be bothered to go.

In his defence he has made me lots of foul lemsips and hot drinks as well as scrambled eggs which would not hurt my throat.

Is he normally this selfish?

Ok, so you may not need the GP right now but it's hardly and effort for him to go and register. If you got worse and did need a doctor it would just be extra hassle if you weren't already a patient.

The loud music is just really inconsiderate.

YANBU.

Have you actually asked him straight out to turn down the music and go to the doctors for you? Because if you are just hinting...

He has been a twat periodically all weekend.

I need to get back to work asap and am also supposed to be doing a reading at a funeral on Friday which I can hardly do with no voice and when I am wheezing and coughing. I am hoping some ant biotics may shift it.

YANBU - whether or not you need to go to the doctor now is irrelevant - you, your kids and your dp need to be registered with your local GP

I have asked him outright to go to the doctors and he wouldn;t answer and walked off.
I have moaned about his music I am on my way down to tell him to turn it down.

You don't need to register with a GP to get an appointment, you can phone them up and give them your details and request an appointment as a temporary patient. You can do this if you go on holiday in the UK and need to see a doctor whist you are away.

It is my fault for not registering us earlier especially as I will need a repeat prescription soon.

phone gp, see if you can just show up there for an appointment and register at the same time.

And go downstairs and cut the plug off the stereo!

try not to worry about eating at the moment, drink lots of fluid and take ibuprofen and paracetamol in regular doses (not with lemsip though). Take it easy. I wouldn't worry about work until you are feeling a bit better.

Lol! Make the most of it. Whether it's viral or bacterial, you still sound like you feel like shit so make him run around after you. Viruses can be nasty.
