To sit and cry because I just ruined my wall?????

....nightmare day! Got my period this morning and feel like complete cr*p! Have busied myself all day and thought I would attempt to fix up the baby gate when DS went to sleep (have been waiting for DH to do it but fear DS will be able to fit it himself before that happens!).

So DS went to sleep.....I got out the drill and it woke him up! He starts screaming, I slip with the drill and make the hole way too big for what I need....now the wall has a hole in it and wallplug is just swimming in there, DS is still screaming because he hasn't had a long enough nap, I have a banging head ache and tummy ache...is it wrong to cry? Is it wrong to want to open the bottle of red wine thats calling my name from the kitchen?

Put filler in the hole then push in the plug (when still soft) or use 'grip fill' type stuff which is better at holding in plug and fixing to the bigger hole.

I used the drill while he was asleep because he normally sleeps through anything! Of course normally was not today!

If I put filler (I think I have a tube of polyfilla) will it be strong enough to hold the plug and therefore the gate?

fill with polyfiller. i would drill another whole. and start fresh if you can. paint the poly filler. a fresh bit of wall would be sturdier when dc starts shaking the life out of gate. (believe me dc will definately shake)
