We are going through our DVD so that we can take some to blockbuster to trade in. Well I turfed a few out that I was willing to part with and he comes in with a handful of my Favourite movies saying he wants to trade them in. he says we havent watched them so should trade them in.. I say what If I want to watch it again have I got to buy a new DVD.. he says it would be cheaper than the space of keeping it..

I have had a huff and told him he can't get rid of Blade III (teensy crush on Ryan Reynolds)

then he grumbles at me putting North By North West on the pile.. classic I know but not my fav hitchcock by any stretch..

and i'm grumpy that he is trading in the musical buffy episode that I got him for his birthday a few years ago...

no probably not... I have sent him off... with a box set of 24 (first season) and Heroes (first season) as well.. I'm not bothered about them.. but there was no way he was taking Serenity from me...

Serenity was one of the most painfully bad films of all time. Why do people like it? You can have mine

Serenity was fabulous! But I understand that it would be a bit weird if you hadn't watched firefly first. had a few friends who did that

I thought serenity was a John Cusack film

Sell them all and get a subscription with LoveFilm.

(Apart from the musical Buffy episode, which DH must keep under his pillow from now on to truly prove how much he appreciated his birthday present! )

well it was a joke present to be honest... though he did have a rather unhealthy obsession with Buffy.

we do have the tescos dvd rental by post but I was just huffy as he wanted to get rid of my movies but not his..

Ah. I did miss something then. I just thought it was rubbish, but got voted as a top film by all the internet nerds. Didn't realise there was a series.

Anyway. Skyplus and iTunes etc. Just record them digitally these days. Save all your space for the four thousand poxy Dora the Explorer DVDs that come at a special introductory price of £2.99 then never ever ever end. And Tracy * Beaker, she's just as bad.

Nothing wrong with that. At all! My two are playing Lego Indiana Jones (which is great) on the Xbox. My 4 year old daughter wants a whip now. Hmmmm.

And annoying=buying an Xbox HD drive...two days before they announce that they are killing the format off! It is quite amazing to watch though.

I'd just like to say Meridan I love your taste. It is crimial to think of selling any buffy episode. I was heartbroken that they didn't keep making firefly and serenity is awesome

all children - no all people should be introduced to star wars. It scares me that some of my friends have never seen return of the jedi!!

oh and I totally agree that if you had to get rid of some of your dvds he should get rid of some of his.

If it's just about space, then just take them all out of the boxes, keep the inserts somewhere, and stick the discs in one of those CD wallet things.

What is your favourite Hitchcock then. Watched Vertigo on TV over the weekend. Always liked Rear Window, and the Birds

sorry shut down puter last night as the internet connection went kaput!

magnificant7- my favourite hitchcock movie of all time is the Birds... but only becuse when i was growing up we used to live about 30 min from Bodega Bay where it was filmed and went there almost every week..

no boxed buffy sets at the moment.. though I may get Firefly next time its going cheap on tinternet... I'm quite excited there is going to be a new joss whedon series i n the fall... the dolls house or something... my brain is pudding today...

and I'm trying to convince DH that we NEED the indiana jones movies.. and the Goonies to teach the boy right.

You shouldn't have to convince anyone of the need for Indiana Jones! For shame, meridian's DH.
