to freecycle our television?

I am so, so utterly sick of dp sitting in front of the tv while I slave away cooking dinner, getting kids to bed and doing housework.
he sat there tonight sighing because he's soooo tired. while I stand doing a pile of ironing as high as the moon.
it's doing my head in.
can I freecycle it?

you know he'll only go out and buy a new one .

How technically minded is he? You could always replace the plug fuse with a dead one and when the TV doesn't work hope that he comes to help you out instead of trying to find out why it won't work all night.

tbh I'd just have a word with him - might get the point across better.

TV isn't the probalem. It is him not pulling his wait. If you didn't have a TV he'd find something else to do.

You need to sit down and sort out the expectations of both of you when it comes to housework, sorting the children, etc. You both need to be sharing it all.

You could freecycle it but you'd be better off saying "DP, darling, be a sweetheart and iron your own fucking shirts". Said with this face:

I've talked to him til I am blue in the face.
and on the occasions when I get very angry and unplug it he does come and help me.

personally I wouldn't miss it. and most of the time he only watches crap on it, not like he has any particular programmes he wouldn't want to miss or anything.

he does iron his own shirts thankfully. and i've thrown the rest of his stuff on the floor and just done mine and the kids.

gah, I KNOW this isn;t about the television. I know our whole relationship needs sorting out. but right now I hate the damn thing and want him to come home from work tomorrow and find it gone

I did the plug fuse trick on DS. Worked on "D"P as well.
