AIBU?

to think that DH should at least have called once in the day to see how his il DD is?

DD2 has been really having a tough time of it for the past few days - temps, headaches, not sleeping well. She's only just turned 2 so as with any youngster being ill it's worrying and very draining on anyone looking after them.

We had a totally crapola night last night and everything boded for an equally shite day today (which it completely was) but has DH even bothered to call / text / email to see how she is? Not a peep out of him except a message left on the answerphone 10 mins ago saying that he was coming back late - no query at all as to how she was.

Feel totally unsupported, drained and pissed off.

My Dh will do this.

I often send a text sayingg. @We are all fine, thanks for asking'

queue one apologetic phone call!

They just forget.. assume we can cope..Mine just says of course you are OK... you would have phoned me if not.

Sympathy though to DD.

I work 2 days a week and you can get completely absorbed. Hard though it is to accept when you're the one at home (and I would expect my DH to ring, but I'm allowed double standards right?), he probably didn't have a chance think about you.

My DS1 was ill last week and I left him at my mum's for her to make the decision as to whether he went to school, after he'd had his breakfast. To my shame it was 11am before I even thought to ring and find out if he went.
