I just get annoyed when Americans try and correct my English . Sorry mate I learned British English and I stick with it ... no offense to anybody!

I am a pedant.

I admit it. I need help. I am the most pedantic pedant I know.

But I would never dream of correcting someone unless they either asked "is this correct?" or it was on a thread like this where it is expected

Tis very rude imho

So there.

(I was going to write something with the apostrophe in the wrong place, but I just couldn't do it )

I have to admit, I hate to see grammatical errors that are not due to typos but just generally not knowing the rule (apostrophes in the wrong place, wrong word used). It just sets off an internal cringe factor. In my work, I think it looks unprofessional, and (dare I say it) uneducated. Even though my DH does this all the time and is far from uneducated. But I wouldn't correct a post on here - not really appropriate!

not tongue in cheek, 2shoes, the correction?
if not, how very impolite of them.
I am a pedant in every way, but not rude. Whole point is that you twitch inwardly, to self, in manner of old maid, as it were.
Or, if it's unbearable, you post on P Corner.

(i know, one posts..)

My typing is shocking on here as I usually have baby on knee and am trying to reach keyboard around them. Also I can't remember anything about grammar even though I did English GCSE 2years ago and got an A (have got a degree but never got round to doing my GCSE's). Children have sucked my brains slowly out of my ears since then. Everything new thing they learn I lose one.
