To think my brother should give me the money back.......

I went to Ikea a few weeks ago and my brother asked me to get him a unit.
I took it to him and gave him my bank details to transfer the money trusting that he would do it.
He still hasn't done it and my bank balance is now suffering
I texted him and he has told me he can give me a part of it but I would like all of it as last weekend he went out and got himself a Land Rover/Range Rover to play about with
AIBU by being annoyed that he hasn't paid his debt back?

Well, he evidently has enough money to pay you back. Is he one of those people who doesn't worry about money and therefore think it doesn't matter to anyone else?

Does he live close by? If so, you could just go round and tell him you need the cash or a cheque now.

I'm afraid if it was my brother I wouldn't be pulling any punches. If he can afford to buy himself a new car, then he can afford to pay you back.

tell him if he doesn't pay back asap and you get bank charges as a result you will expect him to pay those as well.

Ring him up and tell him you couldn't really afford to get the unit, and only did so trusting you would be pad straight back. Put your foot down he is trying it on. Oh and don't lend him any money again.

I'd go straight round and demand cash asap. If he can afford to buy a car, he can afford to pay you back. And never lend him money again.

If so, go round, get the unit and return it..

my brother owes me £250...he knows that he owes it to me as ive told him numerous of times till i gave up about 5 years ago. Ive never gave him a penny since then - his loss!!

I've now told my parents he still hasn't paid me and they were seeing him last night so hopefully they now have the money from him!
(he goes on holiday tomorrow for a week too)
