i hate it when my kids are always on top of me
i hate b(&y dogs
a three year old deserves better shoes as he rfeet are still forming, as opposed to a grown woman wh ojust wants it for the sake of fashion etc.
what ele, lots of things i know i shouldnt say, but really really really feel like shouting right now.

Shout away!!! That's what it is here for! I'm sure there are people who agree with you on some of these points. 3rd one is definitely a good one!

erm, I think it's fairly obvious what cylon mum is saying - and trying not to swear at the same time

Sorry don't get the shoe thing or the use of brackets and asterisks?

Report
DeviousDaffodil · 11/05/2007 17:08

swear if you like we are all grown ups on here!

Report
SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 11/05/2007 17:09

spending money on kids shoes is more important than adults

and trying not to swear!

Report
cylonbabe · 11/05/2007 17:10

well, the b word was bloody, but i thought i better not type that as it is swearing and i might get into trouble about it.#
the dogs thing is cause it is politically incorrect to actually dislike dogs, or any animals almost
the child thing is a response to what someone said on another thread, but i thought i better not post on it as id be pounced on for judging her style of parenting.
mykids who are always on top of me and cant seemt o do a bloody thing without input from me. why cant the ten year old have a shower himself. the four year old go to the toilet without asking my permission. the five year old just leave me alone for an instant? and why cant they just stop fighting between themselve.

I hate bloody dogs!
There I said it for you.
And I mean it!
I didn't mean to sound rude, just didn't get it!!
Aghree about good shoes, although if you mean Crocs, they are good for the feet and not just fashionable.
Pour yourself a large glass of wine and tell teh kids to go and watch TV!

mosschops30 · 11/05/2007 17:14

if you are referring to my comment about kids crocs then just come out and say it.

I would pay £30 for mine because I will wear them for years, however for dd who will be in another size by the end of the summer I refuse to pay £30 for something she will wear for a few months.

I buy both my childrens shoes from clarks so I dont think I'm doing anything wrong in buying a cheap pair of holiday shoes for them to mess about with

Maybe your friends cancelled because you assume things with asking about them first

moss i doubt its a personal thing, she sounds stressed today, please dont start rowing!! (ok is it just me or is that not what i was meaning to say? sp of a row please???)

i doubt id play £30 for a pair of crocs for a child, my dds got some similar by skechers her auntie brought her for £7.99!

mosschops, i didnt know you had written a post aboutthis at all. it was another poster who said something very similar
for kids, i still say it is better that they have one pair of shoes that fit their feet well, so they can grow properly. it is a far far better investment to provide them with healthy feet.
so one pair of shoes that fit well, costing thirty pounds for a season, helping to provide them with healthy strong feet is far amd away cheaper than four pairs of cheap shoes in different colours and styles to go with different outfits that cause smelly feet with blisters etc.
thats my opinion

and yes, i am stressed, which is why i started my own thread to moan about things, rather than start an arugment on someone elses thread.
we all do what we think is right for our kids in our own particular circumstances.

It has been very testy on MN lately, cylonbabe. It's not just you

Report

I agree on the shoe front. My mum was the same with me too. Always get properly fitting school shoes & trainers & even sandals (although try to go to the factory outlet for those). Am only just agreeing to a pair of cheapish ballet pumps for her for infrequent-ware!

However I still spend more on my shoes, it just happens! (Unless I get them in the sales).

well the dogs.....that started from the thread about not liking to be accosted by dogs in a park. some very very valid points were made on that thread. i just got carried away, so thought i better start my own thread before i upset someone elses sensibilities and did thread hijack at the same time.
