Or is MIL playing games again?

So I have posted numerous times about my MIL on here. Suffice to say, since the kids came along our relationship has gone downhill. So much so that these days, I insist DH is home when she comes for a visit. The reason I'm writing today is she hasn't given me a present in years. Last presents she gave me was in 2014 after a tour of the US. She gave me an Estée Lauder lipstick (which was Fake!) and a travel charger (even though I hadn't had a phone for months). Anyway, today she gave me my xmas present. She made a point of saying in front of everyone how I always say how much I love her scent so she bought me a Chanel no5 body creme. Now this is where I am feeling quite unsettled. First I have never ever once remarked on her perfume nor complimented her on it. I have worn the same perfume for decades and it's not Chanel. I actually have the NO5 perfume bottle and have never used it as it gives me headache. Am I being unreasonable? Is this odd? In my opinion giving someone a perfume type present, I would usually make sure it's something they use. (For instance, my parents gave DH a perfume set for xmas and they asked me before hand what he uses so they bought him the set). In the moment, I was a bit taken aback but said thank you. Felt quite cornered but didn't know what to say. Didn't want to appear ungrateful which is how they will all twist things to make me look bad. But you know what, I am feeling angry! Because to me all I see is a manipulative nasty person. I don't want to say anything to DH as he will just take this bad and we will have another argument and I can't be bothered with the drama. I come here looking to support and looking to understand if I am approaching this the wrong way and how to deal with her with the minimum drama and not destroying my DH's relationship with myself or his parents. Please help me see straight!
