Only if it applies to Manchester United and their supporters from abroad!

If we had no foreign players in the Premier League teams, would it help improve the skills of British players who could play instead in these teams?

Maybe the performance of the home national teams could be improved?

It is not, Nancy. The Premiere league are made up of people from numerous nationalities. Which is why there are great. England is made up of, well , English people.

Foreign leagues are made up of all nationalities too, it isn't just our teams with foreign players

Well, Nancy, you're helping me prove my point... thank you!

I'm just wondering how the Brexiters who voted because of immigration would feel about the foriners leaving their chosen teams.

I think that the Premier League has a higher percentage of foreign born players as it's a very well paid league.

I am not a football expert, but even I can see that without foreign input, England/Britain would not be anywhere near the map in football if it wasn't for foreign players.

You obviously aren't a football expert. Yes many supporters enjoy all the foreign players and money that their clubs own. But many more would prefer there to be a lot less money in the EPL and lots more opportunity for young British players to come through the reserve teams into the first team even if it meant the general standard dropped.

Interesting that no Brexit supporter has jumped in yet to say that British premier league teams should only feature British players.

I suspect that is because they know we are less likely to win with only British players.

And, strangely enough, that logic also applies to the rest of British industry.
