AIBU?

To be worried I might be pregnant because I have pelvic pain?

3dc already, have suffered with PGP/SPD with all three pregnancies.
The last 2 weeks I have been nauseous on and off but there have been quite a few tummy bugs going around the dc's school and nursery so I thought nothing of it.
Today my pelvis has been painful exactly like when I was pregnant. I haven't had this pain with anything else, is there anything else which causes PGP?
DH has had a vasectomy and 2 clear samples, but I can't help but worry. We really couldn't cope with another DC 😞.

That makes me feel a bit better, I can't really remember having it last Winter but maybe I've forgotten. I have been out in the cold a lot today.

OP I don't know where you live but where I am it has been exceptionally cold today!

I'm sorry that you have been feeling unwell and that you are worried. Why did you choose aibu rather than one of the health topics?

Bibbity - 2 reasons - I could find it!

  • I wanted you to all tell me I was being unreasonable and to stop being ridiculous so I could stop worrying about it.

I feel fine today, just have an achey pelvis.

Rose gold - it's bloody freezing here. I took ds3 to the park about 12 hours ago and I still can't feel my feet.

Is your period due? It's very common for PGP to flare up then.

I've had severe SPD for over 20 years and although I'm in constant pain, I do get random flare ups, so it might just be one of those things.

No, due last week and I did bleed last week but much much less than usual and only for 2 days. Usually have v heavy periods for 6/7 days.
Thanks for replying though. I'm feeling reassured that it's not completely unheard of to have PGP pain and not be pregnant.

Oh, this must be quiete a shock giving your DH's vasectomy. Happened to a friend of mine as well.

But you have options, OP.

Hope you are ok.

Oh OP that must be a real shock Brew
I hope you are OK xxx

Oh that must be a huge shock! So sorry. Have you told your DH yet? I know mine would freak and assume I'd been cheating or something! (Not suggesting you have, just my DH would think that).
I fell pregnant earlier this year while on the pill, already have 3 DCs and lost last pregnancy at 23 weeks so no way did o want to go through that again. I had a termination through BPAS and it was a fairly stress-free process to be honest, so if you do consider that I am happy to share my experience. Feel free to PM me x

It was huge shock. DH just got home and is being lovely. I know he wouldn't think I'd been cheating but he just keeps saying that the test is wrong and I have nothing to worry about.
I'm all for women having free choice but I'm struggling with the thought of termination. My best friend is really struggling with infertility. How can I terminate this pregnancy when I'm watching her struggle and sympathising with her? Feel like a hypocrite.

She won't feel any better that you got pregnant in spite of a vasectomy! Flowers
It must be a big shock but this has to be your decision on what's right for you.

Could the faint test be an evaps?

Report
Ohyesiam · 25/11/2016 20:28

What's an evaps?

PupPupBoogie · 25/11/2016 20:29

Evap. Sorry autocorrect!

I think if I was in your situation I'd want a clear positive from a FMU before I believed it. You must be so shocked Flowers

You must be shocked - I've just been through similar and was shocked to get a BFP as I had no symptoms - unlike other pregnancies. You have to go with what feels right for you at this point

DH thinks it's an evap but it appeared immediately so I don't think it is. I do think I need to retest in a few days before I go into panic mode. I feel pregnant though, that's why I tested.
The more I think about it the more I know there is no choice to be made. We are only just getting back on an even keel after ds3 who is 3 now. We have one ds being investigated for ASD and 2 more who I have my suspicions about! Ds3 is beautiful and I adore him, but he nearly broke me and our marriage. I just can't put us all through that again.
It doesn't make me feel good about it though...

Massive hugs. Iv 3dc too. One asd, one adhd and a 3 yr old. Same for me with 3rd ds - he broke me and our marriage is still fragile and he's 3 yrs old. I never thought I'd have a termination but now I know for absolute certainty we really couldn't cope with a 4th dc.

Thanks Allthewaves, so glad someone knows how I'm feeling.

I've done 3 tests today and they're all negative. I think (hope) it's more likely to be a faulty test than a failed vasectomy. Feeling pretty relieved today after a very sleepless night.
