Aibu to be kicking myself - I just gave the babysitter £15 in £5 notes and she inspected them and jumped up and down as she had an AA13___

Apparently worth loads. Grrr.

Meadows76 Thu 17-Nov-16 20:01:30

A fiver is worth...........a fiver

neonrainbow Thu 17-Nov-16 20:04:02

No she's an idiot. My local facebook page is full of muppets trying to sell fivers.

SquedgieBeckenheim Thu 17-Nov-16 20:04:20

I had an AA17. I didn't think that would be valuable, so I spent it on hot chocolate. Wasn't it only the AA01's that were valuable?

Arfarfanarf Thu 17-Nov-16 20:04:59

The AA ones are selling for a couple of hundred apparently

AliceInUnderpants Thu 17-Nov-16 20:05:02

Yeah you're right, this one made a tidy profit...

Just checked eBay and there was an AA14 for £110. Back in September though≥

restofthetimes Thu 17-Nov-16 20:07:02

What the f about this one? Over a grand?

Meadows76 Thu 17-Nov-16 20:13:13

What the f about this one? Over a grand? just chancers on eBay. Nobody is buying it.

restofthetimes Thu 17-Nov-16 20:13:35

It's sold.

dementedpixie Thu 17-Nov-16 20:15:31

It says it's been resisted not sold

dementedpixie Thu 17-Nov-16 20:15:44

Relisted *

restofthetimes Thu 17-Nov-16 20:16:52

Huh? They've relisted it or one like it. But when the price is green it means it's sold. If unsold, it stays red.

restofthetimes Thu 17-Nov-16 20:18:54

Oh actually, it stays black - like this stupid one for £250k!!!

AnchorDownDeepBreath Thu 17-Nov-16 20:18:59

The price isn't green for me - it says "This item ended. It has been relisted". It didn't sell for a grand.

KnickersOnOnesHead Thu 17-Nov-16 20:19:11

Worth exactly what it is.

If someone came into a shop and ask to pay for the £300 shop with a fiver because it was 'worth' X amount on ebay, they'd be laughed out of the shop.

Champagneformyrealfriends Thu 17-Nov-16 20:19:19

But when the price is green it means it's sold. If unsold, it stays red.

Doesn't mean it's been paid for though. People aren't actually making money selling these.

AnchorDownDeepBreath Thu 17-Nov-16 20:19:27

That one didn't sell either - the seller took the listing down.

KnickersOnOnesHead Thu 17-Nov-16 20:19:51

*their £300 shopping

ClopySow Thu 17-Nov-16 20:21:27

Only very foolish people buy fivers for more than a fiver.

restofthetimes Thu 17-Nov-16 20:22:42

Says it got 1 bid (the £1k one not £250k obviously)

Oh well. I got it earlier in the day from a cabbie, so easy come easy go.

Meadows76 Thu 17-Nov-16 20:24:27

It's sold.

No, it's not.

whyohwhy000 Thu 17-Nov-16 20:26:16

Only the AA00s are valuable.

luckylucky24 Thu 17-Nov-16 20:34:18

It is worth what stupid people will pay for it.

restofthetimes Thu 17-Nov-16 20:34:53

Have to agree to disagree. I did a search for sold items only, and if you check the relishing, it's a different serial no. ie. a different note.

Admittedly, most of them are going for peanuts.
