Massive hug - so sorry you're having such a torrid, horrible time. I've been there in terms of finding a lump and I know how horrible the wait is. I tried to keep busy...pathetically little good advice to offer as it's grim, but I'm keeping eveything crossed for you and wish you a quick, happy result - you deserve it. Have you shared in rl? Xx

That's awful. I'm so sorry you're having such a terrible time.

Oh worried this must all be completely overwhelming :(

Do you have a close friend or relative you can use as an emotional crutch for now? Someone to rant at, get it all out in RL?

Please do disclose all of this to your employer, they often have employee assistance programmes that can offer all kinds of advice and counselling too x

That's a lot of shitty stuff.

But, awful as it all is, I would try and not worry about the lump until there's something to worry about. (So easy to type sat here, I know) it might help you get through each day until the results.

What RL support do you have? What's the situation with your dad? Does he live near? Are you caring for him?

And what's going on with dd? How crappy that your STBXH isn't involved with the kids.

Flowers for you. Hoping for a good outcome for the biopsy and calm times ahead for you.

I found a lump last week. Went to GP and she found another one. So I have a week until I'm seen for scans / biopsy whatever.

Hand holding, it's a scary time and all you can do is take it one day at a time. As everyone keeps telling me, if it is bad news they can do so much more now. Flowers

Been there and have come through it. I hope I can offer some reassurance. Yes, I was shit scared.

The lumpectomy was done as day surgery and I wasn't too groggy afterwards and the pain was bearable. I needed radiotherapy after the wound had healed but it wasn't that bad. Meanwhile I lived a fairly normal life. I'm retired now so no work but I went on holiday and was able to socialise and do basic housework nearly all the way through.

I'm clear of cancer now but obviously will need regular check ups.

Please don't be scared. The nurses are amazing and the surgeons know what they are doing.

I cannot offer any advice but will be thinking of you. I hope this helps, When I posted a while ago I was surprised that, messages from people who don't even know me, would help so much, but they did.Would send flowers but don't know how to work the gadgety key!! xx

Wow, that's a lot in your plate isn't it. Macmillan can be very supportive, have you got people to lean on in real life?

Thank you,in real life I have plenty of friends I have shared with a few who are really supportive.
Told my boss, he's a really good boss
Poor kids I really hope next week they say it's not cancer and I don't have to have that convo
I feel like I am in a tsunami of shit, dad doesn't know he lives close he's been through so much.
I cannot believe my ex he's just unbeleievable really.
It's good to hear some have come through it, I am also hoping for day surgery if surgery is needed, I have to keep working to support the kids and pay the mortgage.long term sick just isn't an option
I, holding anyone's hand who needs it,I feel physically sick with worry.
Thanks for the support xxx

How has everyone been feeling? I don't have my " 2 week wait" appt until early next week. It's been hard and I'm actually terrified.

NoSunNoMoon · 19/11/2016 20:43

It is very frightening. I have never been more scared in my life. I hope yours is benign but if it isn't there is so much they can do to fix it these days.

It will be ok.

I've got my appointment Monday at 4pm.

Thinking of you all, this wait feels very long although I know it isn't really.

Oh love, you must be beside yourself.
Reading your post has made me cry, you've got so much on your plate.
It could be something and nothing, but if it does require treatment. It has been caught early. You'll be okay Lovely.
I'll be thinking of you, and praying for your strength.🌸
