Ok, sorry in advance for posting yet another election thread in AIBU so please hide post if necessary Blush but, after everything thats happened is anyone else really surprised that she didnt at least thank her supporters at the rally? There's been nothing from her at all! Confused

Its just bizarre.

I'm sure she is sleeping, and royally fed up.

She is probably getting the hell out of Dodge. Is she has any sense.

I think she could have at least come and thanked her supporters! I thought DT was gracious in aknowledging her in his speech but she has not been seen since! Feel sorry for her supporters

Its just that so many people have really stuck their neck out for her and supporters at the rally were clearly devastated at the result having waited into the early hours, so I would have thought she would have at least come out and acknowledged there presence and efforts, I dont get it.

Normally the losing candidate chokes on makes a gracious speech early on (at the time they concede) and then buggers off for a while.

No idea why she's chosen to do it differently. And the (no doubt unintended) effect will be to make her team look like bad losers.

I was a bit surprised that Obama has put out a statement before her (and if I heard right, will be making a speech soon).

I wonder if she cried or whether it's 'just work'

Report
Wookiecookies · 09/11/2016 12:53

I suspect she is devastated, but her supporters were too, and they voted for her in good faith and stayed up all night to see her and hear from her. If I was them I would have been gutted to have been left hanging like that.

Licking her wounds, surely? And working out whether she needs to flee to Europe?

Yeah, I guess if bernie had remained in this race, things may have looked very different today.

I actually think she's not been well for a while, adrenaline has kept her going, but now it's over she's slumped in bed with a box of tissues and a lemsip.

"Yeah, I guess if bernie had remained in this race, things may have looked very different today"

I think that's unlikely.

According to the BBC, they had only booked their venue until 2am - at 2am, it wasn't over and therefore HRC wasn't ready to concede then. More results came in within the hour.

I was wondering that too. She just needs to pop up and say thanks and then go and recuperate.

Yonic,

That maybe true, but it doesnt make a lot of sense, as most quarters were predicting there wouldnt be a complete result until 4-5 am, so you would have thought they would have had the venue booked for the whole night?

On top of Trump tower with a gun. When he doesn't appear, she might be thinking:

"I hope nothing's happened to him!"

No Bernie would not have won. Trump's success, like Brexit, is about validating people's prejudices and stoking divisions and fears. That is what people are responding to at the moment.
