Pillow cases, sheets, towel after denitting round 1?

Got upto secondary school without blooming nits but I found 6 or 7 crawling around this evening - bleugh!

Tell me what I else need to do, apart from nitty gritty & overnight lotion - do I need to clean brushes in a special way?

TIA

Nit comb every day! I don't think they can live when not on a head so boil washing sheets is a bit ott. Give the brushes a good wash though, maybe soak them for a bit.

Nit comb everyone else in the house too.

How does she have her hair? If there's nits going round it needs to be tied up properly.

Use conditioner with nitty gritty. I would wash everything just to be sure!

I so read that as 'boil wash my daughters'.

My answer would have been YABU.

But yes, do the pillows Grin

Ha ha ! Thank you all

So pillow cases & protectors all washe'd & dried & everyone's been treated appropriately.

Duvet cover? Cushions & throws that DD has been tucked up with on the sofa?

If you can't wash /dry it on hot, then wrap it well and put in the freezer overnight - particularly useful for non-washable cuddly toys. In winter, just put the items outside overnight. You might be able to steam sofa cushions. You have to kill them with poison, extreme heat or extreme cold, ime. You have to consider everything she's been near - fleecy jackets, throws, sofa cushions, dressing gown, etc, and check everyone else in the family.
And yes, they can live without being on a person for several days; a strong minded friend of mine did an experiment. Shudder.
