AIBU?

To tell you all that parsnip and halloumi is the greatest combination ever?

I don't especially enjoy parsnip, it's OK, but I have to be in the mood. However, I grated 1 parsnip, grated some halloumi, mixed it, stuck it in oven with butter dotted on top, 180 for 20 minutes.
You can thank me later.....

It's not chips and gravy though, is it?

Ooh I like the sound of that! Thanks for the tip!

It's not, but parsnips look slightly like cocks, as per your username. You'd love them. Especially with halloumi.

Hmmm. No. I particularly like parsnip, and I like halloumi even less

I don't particularly like!!

Intriguing!!

I love both of those but wouldn't put them together.

On my list....

YABVVVVVU Grin

Parsnips taste utterly revolting.

However, the redeeming point of your post is that I will try this recipe with butternut squash instead.

Not with halloumi they don't!
However, I didn't think of doing this with other veg and squash sounds like it might work. I give you permission to try and report back

To not like halloumi is to be wrong on a deep fundamental level. Try it again with parsnips.

Squeaks improve cheese, only reason I would eat cottage cheese is the squeakiness.

I do a tray of roast veg including parsnips, red onions, peppers, tomatoes, courgettes etc then add feta or halloumi at the last minute, with a dash of balsamic vinegar. Delicious!

Grated halloumi you say... interesting. I've only ever grilled it! Or burnt it on a bbq.

Is this the sort of culinary masterpiece which is born when all you've got is a parsnip and some halloumi? Grin I can imagine it working though.

Or celariac?

I have both of things in the fridge. I had no intention of using either but I'm going to trust you and try it for lunch tomorrow.

Grated hallumi? Not something I had ever considered, how thin/thick do you grate it
