AIBU?

To think she's got a bloody cheek

DD had her first jabs on Thursday and has been poorly and sleepy ever since so I was a bit pissed off when she was woken up when the postman rang my intercom (horrible loud shrill buzzer) to tell me he had a parcel for number 4 next to me - he doesn't normally do that. So when I went out to collect my post I saw this note taped to the door. AIBU to think this is really cheeky as she hasn't asked me if that's ok? I appreciate it's annoying if your bell doesn't work but why make it everyone else's problem without checking with them first? I'm particularly uncomfortable with people knowing they can be automatically buzzed in as my baby's dad isn't allowed to contact us due to harassment which she doesn't know about, but still, it's a general security risk and there are some expensive buggies just inside the door... And jabs or not, I don't really want my young baby woken up every time one of her asos parcels turns up! She's not particularly in my good books anyway as she has a habit of leaving stinking bin bags out on the shared landing for days at a time as well but that's another story.

If she knew she had a parcel delivery then yes SWBU to just assume you would all access the post.
But she doesn't know your DD was unwell.

Tell her you won't be her personal BellBoy , and kick her binbags right back outside her door every time.

I think it is cheeky. Could she not ask people to ring her mobile when they're outside and go down and let them in until the bell is fixed?

Scribble out your number from the note? The other two will soon get fed up with her as well and do the same.

Very cheeky. I'd remove the note I think.

Go and add to the note - 'DO NOT RING NUMBER X'.

I also came on to suggest scribbling out your flat number/removing the note altogether.

I'd scribble out my number! The others may be fine with it so let them cross theirs off if not.

And while you have the pen in your hand scribbling out your number , write "Maybe get your doorbell fixed too"

Be as Pass/Agg as you like.
Hopefully her parcel was a new doorbell Grin

Maybe the parcel was a new buzzer. Grin

I think whatever I do it's going to make it awkward unfortunately which I wanted to avoid as it's only a small block of four flats and we often pass each other on the stairs - I even took out several stinking bags of her rubbish myself when I was heavily pregnant so as not to have to have an uncomfortable conversation because after that it's always going to be awkward whenever we see each other... I think I'll scribble out my number and write something about the baby which I know is a cop out when what I really want to write is "sort your own doorbell problems out and if I can take my rubbish down with a newborn baby you can certainly do the same you lazy, inconsiderate mare"

Yes, it says nothing on the notice about scribbling out one of the numbers

70isalimit and Llama - I'd love this to be the case but considering she sees a bag full of rotting nappies on a shared landing as something to deal with in a few days/weeks/whenever I can't imagine her viewing a broken doorbell as an urgent problem to fix. God knows what the inside of her flat is like

Yes that is annoying and I would be annoyed as well but she does not know your situation.
Had a neighbour who used to tell everyone my name and was in a simular circumstance to yourself really urked me so 100% get where you are coming from

She sounds like a royal pain in the bum.
As you are awake at ungodly hours with a small baby , in your shoes I'd wait till , ooh 2am when she's trying to sleep, hammer on her door and tell her you've seen rats at her bigbags and did she know they can get through the letterbox?
