Depends on your location. I charge £25 an hour for GCSE but I am aware that I should charge more (going rate is around £27/28 an hour locally). If I was in London, I would probably be charging £30-35 per hour (this seems to be the "going rate" there).

Totally location based. Where I was working most recently I charged £20 for primary to GCSE and £30 for A level. Those rates are going up now we're in a more affluent area.

For GCSE I charge £30 so would expect primary to be around £25 but that's in Yorkshire and would guess if you are London based 35/40 might not be so bad.

Sellers market - a qualified subject teacher £30+ per hour. Less if not qualified.

So far, the only thing we've used a tutor for is to help bridge the gap between GCSE and A-level Maths in the summer before Y12. Qualified secondary school Maths teacher. Near London (inside the M25). We paid £40 per hour.

£35 for an hour and a half GCSE tuition when paid in a block of four sessions. East Midlands. Worth every penny for the look of joy on her face on results day.

I generally charge £25ph for gcse and £30 for a level. I reduce this by £5ph if It's a student taught by another teacher in my school as it requires less prep.
