So I got back about 3pm, having had a really lovely day out; and I needed it.
My DH has to work (albeit usually from home) and the only time I've been out for the last fortnight is for a never ending round of hospital appointments.
So I get back, and Caramel (next door's Golden Retriever) is in the garden. He's had a rare old time. There's dog mess all over my lawn and it looks like he's chased after the squirrels as a lot of my garden has been wrecked and flattened.
All the dog stuff is in a plastic bag by the gate. The Dog's had no water all day and it's been hot here today. There was a house plant and a card from my neighbour in another plastic bag (first in three months).
DH has been out since the school run this morning, so I thought he had agreed to look after the dog, so I was cross with him as I've got my third breast cancer surgery tomorrow and he hadn't told me about looking after the dog today.
Just spoken to him (he's been in Dorset with no signal).
Neighbour collared him this morning and asked him if we'd look after the dog as she "had to go away for a couple of days" and he said absolutely not. Sorry... Tutti's got more surgery and we've just got too much on at the moment.
So she obviously wouldn't take no for an answer and just left the dog in our garden, reeking havoc all day and with nothing to drink.
I'm beyond fuming.
My other lovely neighbour is taking the dog to her Sister's later when she picks her children up.
