AIBU?

To want the weather to just make up its mind?

I know most people like sunny hot weather, but it makes it so hard to dress for work! I just checked tomorrow's forecast and it's 23 in London.

I have a wardrobe full of dark colours and knitted dresses that I can't wait to start wearing.

AIBU to complain to the management, and request that henceforth random warm and sunny days be confined to weekends, when I can justifiably wear denim shorts and flip flops?

Nope, I totally agree with you. I'm just outside London and it was blinking freezing first thing and boiling this afternoon, so I went out wearing a vest and then had to strip off! Cold or hot make up your mind weather.

I want it to commit and stick to what it says! I get married Friday and don't want to lug an umbrella round if I don't have to...

Haha this is me throughout September/October - "be freezing or don't be freezing, make up your fucking mind!!!" Angry

YABU for complaining about hot sunny weather. Here in Scotland we have only had a handful of hot sunny days all summer - that sizzling heatwave a couple of weeks ago with record breaking temperatures? Not here - just rain, rain and more rain and don't expect autumn/winter to be any better. Think yourself lucky you've had a summer

YANBU! I love autumn and can't wait for the first proper chilly morning. So irritated to see high of 23C again today. Summer in London is actually pretty unbearable - I still don't understand why it's a major city without air conditioning as standard in public places or in houses.

YABVU This is the UK, it's what the weather does. Also for claiming most people like hot and sunny weather, many of us don't, and that may even be most.

"Think yourself lucky you've had a summer"

And yet we have some glorious April and May weather. Blue skies, sun ☀ shining - I had to use suncream this year. Forget summer, spring is the thing up here.

A few nice days in spring don't make up for the fact July, August & September have been total washout. The only time I've seen no rain for more than a couple days in a row was on holiday abroad. Can't get washing dried outside so heating or dryer on all the time - so bigger energy bills. Been absolutely chucking it down all day today & pitch dark outside. Sorry but can't find sympathy for folk complaining about warm sunny weather

Oooh no movpov I think this summer was brill! Reliably warm and sunny.

But it's officially Autumn now, so 20 is the maximum I will accept going forward Grin

I hate those in-between days.

Cold first thing so I have chilly feet in my slip on shoes, but warm enough by mid morning (especially in my classroom full of 30 other warm bodies) so that I'd be boiling if I'd put my boots on.

I'm looking forward to it being just that bit colder so I can know what to put on in the morning.

Maybe reliably warm and sunny where you are INXS; only reliable setting here has been endless rain for weeks. It's wild and wet just now and my poor garden is sodden. Anyway, moan over and I'm away to make sure I've packed my umbrella for the morning
