AIBU?

Tiny little flying insects

Over the last few days I've noticed numerous little flying little insects darting around our kitchen. I've cleaned and emptied all the cupboards, bin, behind things etc etc just to make sure that there is nothing that could be enticing them. They wont leave!

I assumed that this was just a quirk that the we now have to live with but I have been to two site meetings today for work and the buggers were in our offices too. I've been swatting the things all day.

My AIBU is:

A: Is this due to the balmy weather we are currently having for September and not due to me being a filthy specimen? My house is clean, I shower daily, no pets.

or

B: I have turned into Pig-Pen from Charlie Brown and these little nasties are my life long friends.....

Is anyone else suffering with weird buggy house guests?

They sound like fruit flies.

Yes, fruit flies.

Ours seem to be immune to Raid. Confused

I agree with PP they sound like fruit flies. I read somewhere that a cup of vinegar makes a good trap - I tried it thinking it was pound to be a Pinterest Fail but it actually works; the little sods seem to congregate near it and then lose and behold you have a really fucking grim cup of dead pickled fruit flies. Actually it's got colder this week and our personal pestilence hell has diminished massively

Fab! Thank you so much.

Annoyingly, due to an existing medical condition I can't eat most fruit (too much fructose), so their visit is more annoying than normal.

I'll grab some vinegar tomorrow (also cant eat that due to the barley content).

Candy: That worries me as I thought our house was clean so had put it down to the mild weather! :-)

I've been swatting away like a trooper this evening so fingers crossed they have got the message.
