I got back from the school run this morning to find a pair of boxer shorts at the top of my drive.

We live in a private row of houses so no one really comes in apart from the residents.

They don't belong to my ndn and the other two neighbours have been in and out and ignored them drove over them

They are bright red character ones and are hard to miss.

Wwyd? I don't really want to go and pick them up. Can't really known on doors to see if anyone's lost their pants.

Do a Facebook post and get your friends to share it? To reunite said pants with their rightful owner?

Oo maybe they are some sort of deranged love token.

I'm afraid we need a (close-up) photo of the Boxers as well, just in case someone recognises them.

They've blown off someone's line, put them in the bin.

Well done on the diagram..... no thread that references a drive way is complete without a diagram I feel! :)

Pin up "have you lost these pants" flyers round the neighbourhood- ''tis a sad tale of woe to be parted from ones pants!

(Alternatively, pick them up on the end of a stick and pop in bin- yeuch)!

Agree with Ifailed. We need to see the pants and ascertain if the character could be linked with the culprit

Take a photo of the boxers and print some flyers with the photo on to put up around the neighbourhood to find the owner.Grin

Do school children walk past your door? Because it's swimming today at my kid's school today, and I can well imagine one of mine wearing their swimming shorts under their trousers not realising until it's too late that their pants have gone walkabout Grin

I didn't think of that jellibelli Grin

They definitely haven't blown off someone's washing line we are nowhere near anyone's back garden so they have travelled a long way and through trees and fences.

I suspect they belong to the boyfriend of one of my neighbours that stays and has been in and out but they seem to be ignoring them.

I've updated the diagram to show the pants.

The zig zag lines are the fences.

Yes we do get school kids walking past we are in a fenced off area though.

Ah but what if the owner returns for them?

What if I'm spotted and the neighbours think the belong to my dh.

Yes I'm clearly very immature with too much time on my hands.

It would be amazing if the owner did return for them, Strangeday! I'm trying to imagine what possible reason he could give, when he rings your doorbell, for having left his boxer shorts on your driveway.

Get a big stick and flick them onto suspected owners drive then casually saunter off.

'bright red character pants' and no photo. OP is a tease.

strangeday. I think you show real potential as a potential recruit to my (as yet non-existent) private detective agency. Once it is up and running (I.e when I learn to drive/know how to turn on a computer without buggering it up), I'll be in touch.

As you were.
